Holiday Inn Ruskin

this is the best hotel in the area. good staff..good rooms...good breakfast

My wife and I were visiting friends in Sun City. We did not have a hotel reservation but stopped at the Holiday Inn to see what kind of rates they had. The girl at the desk gave me a good rate and we decided to stay. We were impressed with the rooms. They all have fridges and a really good sitting area (my wife is somewhat disabled). The breakfast alone was worth the stay. Eggs, bacon, and all the fixins. We would have spend $20 alone at Dennys for the free breakfast at the hotel. I was also surprised that the manager (John) always made it a point to say hello to us and asked if we had a good nights sleep. That made a lot of difference to my wife who always complained that hotels we stay at are not friendly. I want to say thanks to John, Esther and Tony. They were great. There was also an Indian woman, (I believe her name was Sappy); very nice too.

We will be back in January. Plan to stay again at this hotel. I never have written a real complement about a hotel before but my wife and I agreed that this time was worthy

A friend had recommended this hotel and I now will pass the word along as well! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. The staff was very helpful and provided fantastic directions. The rooms were clean and I loved the decor!

This hotel gives you everything you would expect from the Holiday Inn name. It is convient to everything and a great place to stay when visiting family in either Ruskin or Sun City Center.

This hotel was dark, dirty, buggy and poorly staffed. For $92 a night, I expected better than ants all over my bathroom, a view of a sludge pit, stained mattresses, stray cats outside (being fed by the staff!) and all sorts of seedy characters roaming about (one guy walked right in with a case of beer under his arm and asked for the key to room 314, which he was given; what's going on in room 314?). There are other complaints but I don't want to waste too much time other than to say STAY AWAY!
