5 of 5  A Great Surprise, A TripAdvisor Member, west chester, February 18, 2008

I was surprised to come back and see the great changes made! It's like the hotel is brand new. The furniture and bedding looks. The staff was the friendliest! I will come again!

5 of 5  Loved the new lobby!, A TripAdvisor Member, Tampa, March 1, 2006

We had several relatives stay at this hotel and they were treated by the staff like family. The breakfast had more items than we expected.

We had dinner at the new nightclub and lunch at the new deli. Both meals were great.

It was too cold for us to swim but the pool area is beautiful.

4 of 5  ...book by its cover..., A TripAdvisor Member, seattle, January 23, 2008

I was actually impressed by this hotel. I was a bit worried when I pulled into the parking lot. The outside looked a little rough. It is an older building with the "motel" style of having the doors open to the outside.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the door. They have really done a great job of updating the interior. The new furniture and bedding were definitely impressive. The bathroom has also been updated. The towels were the some of the thickest that I have had at any hotel.

It was unseasonably cold for the night of our stay, so I did not see the pool. The complimentary continental breakfast was adequate and stocked.

The front desk staff at check in and check out were stellar.

I would definitely stay here again.

4 of 5  für amerikanische Verhältnisse gutes Continental Breakfast, A TripAdvisor Member, Ulm, March 25, 2007

2 of 5  disappointed at best western, A TripAdvisor Member, Omaha, Nebraska, March 17, 2005

For a $90 price tag, it looks more like a $40 cheap motel, cheap decor, lobby very smoky, the room was run down, and smell of mildew, for $20 more, got a much better deal down the road at comfort suites

1 of 5  What a change------and not for the good, A TripAdvisor Member, maryland, January 16, 2008

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. Although it has been remodeled, the comfort feature was terrible. Here are a few of the issues we had while staying there--

--we arrived at 4:30 in AM. At 7:00AM, there was a man with a leaf blower outside of our room blowing the sidewalks

--at 8:00AM--waste management was outside of our room dumping the dumpsters

--it advertises as a pet-friendly hotel but there is no where to walk your pets. The only strip of grass had 5 fire ant mounds on it.

--the continental breakfast was ok on some mornings but other mornings there were only a couple of items on it.

--the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Also they were very high off of the ground. I am 5'5" and had to almost jump up in the bed.

--none of the doors in the hotel closed correctly. Everyone had to slam the doors to get them to lock. Ours, when closed, provided a view around the edges to the outside.

--air conditioner was very loud and clanky.

The staff was very friendly but it seemed that is all they were.

1 of 5  Not worth the price, A TripAdvisor Member, San Jose California, February 2, 2007

I agree with previous reviews. The hotel rooms smell like smoke and mildew. Definately below the Best Western standard. The lobby and pool areas are nice, but the rooms are a big dissappointment. The walls are paper thin; I could hear the guy in the next room snoring, with his television blaring. Worth about half the price I paid. It's not that it's unliveable, just not what you would expect for BW and the price.

1 of 5  stay away, A TripAdvisor Member, pensacola, October 14, 2006

Had booked this hotel for my parents in March. They said it was okay. Booked it for our own use, and oh my gosh. The lobby is great. Newly renovated. The hotel is in the middle of car city. Passed it twice before we saw the sign. (and we were arriving in daylight). Though we had asked for an upstairs room, got assigned one on the ground floor right next to the pool. Opened the door and all we could smell was the MILDEW. Room was dingy and one of the chairs in the room was a cheap white resin pool chair.

We Never unloaded the car, told the guy at the reception desk we did not want to stay there. He was friendly and we did not get charged for our booking. Went up the street to the Hampton Inn.

Sure, we paid a little more, but you get what you pay for. If you want a really cheap night, stay here. If you're there on vacation and expect a Best Western, this is not the place for you. Can't believe to this day that they still belong to the Best Western Chain.
