Very welcoming proprietors and the place itself is fresh, clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. Not in a central location and the entrance is unprepossessing but once inside it is brightly decorated and well equipped. Breakfast, which is an optional extra, is inexpensive and very good.

We had been warned that the outside view of the hotel would disappoint - and it did! It looked very rough with grafitti on the nearby walls and a stark steel security door with an intercom as only mean sof annoucing your arrival. But once inside - it is a gem! It is clean brightly painted with original art works on the wall. We were welcomed by Ralf the proprietor who sat us down to a cup of tea and a friendly introduction to Berlin with loads of useful advice about what to do and how to get there. We even hired bikes from the hotel at 5 Euros a day - this was a superb way to see the city. So..................... don't be put off by the outside appearance of the Inn Berlin - it is THE place to stay. We stayed in this hostel last year and we loved it. The staff and the hostel are just great and friendly. The only new thing is that the name has changed, but the owners are the same. It is now called INN-BERLIN www.inn-berlin.de Stayed at this hostel with a school group for three weeks. It felt like a second home. I felt really safe here. The owner was super helpful and enthusiastic. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. Everything was great but the only cons would have to be that the shower itself was small and that the location isn't super central. It's easily reached by train though. I would recommend this hostel to anyone. I stayed there with friends and we enjoyed every single day. At the time we arrived we got a good introduction into the city and public transport. That was very helpful! Thanks again! The room has been new, colorful and super clean. We all got towels in different colors not to mix them. We had an own shower which was cleaned every day (important if you have fellows like my friend Jerry). Not to forget that we slept like dead on new matrazes and pillows like in heaven. And even if we had spent a night in one of the famous clubs they took care that we are not disturbed and could sleep until the late afternoon. Really fantastic place to stay! Stayed at this hostel for a week and I couldn't of been happier. We satyed in a double room and it was huge with a ensuite. The hostel is only a couple of months old and the couple who run the place are very enthusiastic and always try to help you plan your days and make sure you get the most out of Berlin. Its a decent location 5minute walk away from the S-bahn (main train line) and the train to Unter Den Linden (Brandenberg Gate) and the centre of Berlin is only 8 stops that takes about 10minutes. The hostel is super clean and offers free wireless internet for laptops and there is breakfast availble for a small fee. It is a little bit more expensive than the average berlin hostel, but you do get what you pay for.
