A fabulous stay | Read all reviews
we began our two week vacation with a three day stay at the Hilton in Sedona. What a fabulous place! Everyone was extremely professional and personable. The suite we had was beautiful and very clean. We requested a refrigerator for my medication and got one at no charge. Loved the fact that they had two pools - one was a "family" pool and the other the "quiet" pool. Restaurant staff was great and food was excellent. Spa was lovely. We liked the fact that this hotel was not "in town" even though traffic was a bit difficult because all the streets in town of Sedona was being torn up at the time of our visit. It was a very peaceful and relaxing start to a wonderful vacation. I wanted to move in!

We had a wonderful stay here. We only had time to stay one night, we were traveling on a two week trip out West. The hotel was a little bit out of the way (not right in the downtown Sedona shopping area) --- for us this is a PLUS! It was quiet, Beautiful room -- very comfortable, clean, and nice ammenities. We got in the hotel hot tub -- it was great. Thanks -- The Robey's from Welcome, Maryland We stayed here for four nights on our Arizona vacation. Beautiful, newly remodeled hotel is located in Oak Creek, just outside of Sedona, which turned out to be great. Sedona itself is currently undergoing major road construction and it’s a mess. Oak Creek has new roads with roundabouts instead of traffic lights. It’s also a bit more upscale than the town of Sedona, which has become rather tacky. Access to red rock lookout points and short hiking is easy, convenient and close-by. Our room was small but cozy, with two queen beds, a gas fireplace, a balcony, and, if you ignore the immediate parking lot, a view of the red rocks. Bathroom was very up-to-date. We didn’t even have time to use the spa, pools, or restaurants. The best restaurant in town is located right in front of the hotel – Cucina Rustica. We drove to the Grand Canyon one day, about two and a half hours each way. Hilton beds are extremely comfortable. Free self-parking made coming and going a pleasure by not having to constantly valet it. The front desk staff was very helpful, check-in and checkout very easy, and housekeeping very efficient. No complaints at all. We stayed at this resort Sept 20th-23rd. I was very pleased with everything overall. We had a double queen room with a separate living room with fireplace. The room had a microwave and a fridge which was really a minibar. We just emptied out most of the stuff and replaced it with bottled water and Red Bull. My husband played the golf course twice ($105 each incl. cart) which he reported was very beautiful and he really enjoyed it. I had a 90 minute Oasis Body Butter Wrap in the spa which was one of the best treatments I've ever had.. My therapist, Michelle, was excellent and it was extremely relaxing. The spa was well equipped. There was a large fitness center which was busy, but not overcrowded. They have a full class schedule on most days, a heated lap pool, 2 (or three?) tennis courts. The women's locker room had a jacuzzi, steam room and dry sauna. The spa itself is in a separate building than the hotel and you have to go outside and across the parking lot. Certainly not a long walk, but just something to keep in mind. There were 2 pools. The smaller one was near the restaurant patio and was very quiet. The larger one was a 2-level pool with a waterfall in the middle. They each had a hot tub as well. We only had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Because of the not-so-good reviews and the fact that we were only in Sedona for 3 days, we decided to eat our other meals elsewhere. Cucina Rustica is a wonderful restaurant that is basically just at the bottom of the hill. I highly recommend it for a nice romantic dinner. We had no issues with the hotel and the concierge was always very helpful when we had questions. Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would not hesitate to stay here again! My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa for 3 days this past week. We found the property to be the loveliest Hilton property at which we have ever stayed. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and I found that they made the most of the natural landscaping and scenery. The grounds were very clean as was the interior of the hotel. My husband and I were staying at this property at a deeply discounted rate, yet, despite this, we were treated extremely well by the courteous and professional staff at this Hilton property. I typically stay in hotels over 80 nights a year and I can attest to the fact that oftentimes, if you stay at a hotel as a reward night or discounted rate, sometimes the staff are not quite as friendly. This is NOT true of the Sedona Hilton. In fact, I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the level of friendliness at this hotel. From the front desk staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the restaurant staff, each and every one went out of their way to give us a friendly smile and a hello, how are you, etc. The pool areas were absolutely stunning and very clean. I was very happy to see that they had a "quiet" pool especially for adults as my husband and I do not have children and really wanted to relax on our days at this property. We ate the hotel restaurant twice, once for breakfast and once for supper. We also had drinks there one night as well. I am happy to report that they staff we encountered were very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and were more than happy to make recommendations or give explanations of menu items. I had only one small incident during our stay and out of respect for the hotel, I will not discuss the details on here. Having said that, the duty manager that day, Daniel handled the situation VERY well and everything was settled very quickly. For those reviewers that have had issues at this hotel or have issues in the future, I find that the best course of action is to go to the front desk and speak directly with the duty manager. It has been my experience at most hotels that guest services can only really help with small issues, but anything of significance really should be brought to the attention of the duty manager as they are best able to help out, call other departments, etc. The location was OK, it is technically in the Village of Oak Creek. So if you plan on staying at this property, you should really plan on having a vehicle so you can drive to Sedona, shop, sight-see, etc. Overall, my husband and I LOVED this hotel; the property itself and the staff was definitely worth of an Excellent rating. We are planning on coming back to the Sedona area again next year and we will be staying at the Sedona Hilton when we do. This is my second visit to the Hilton Sedona in an eight month period. The first time I visited on a getaway with my best friend and the second time I visited over spring break with the family including children. Both times, I found the resort to be extremely clean and the property well manicured and maintained. Although the staff does not go out of their way to be friendly, they are helpful when needed. The spa was nice and they finally have completely renovated the gym with all new equipment and machines. It was so outdated during my first visit and it is absolutely beautiful now. The pools were also redone and it looks so much nicer. We didn't share the negative experience that most of the reviewers had with the hotel restaurant. We ate there many times, and it exceeded our expectations for a hotel eatery. A little expensive , but that is expected. We would definately return to this resort again! we began our two week vacation with a three day stay at the Hilton in Sedona. This is the most charming hotel we've stayed at in years! Keeping in mind some of the reviews we've read here, we were surprised that anyone would complain that the hotel isn't actually in Sedona. Everywhere you drive in and around the hotel is absolutely breathtaking so the ten minute drive from the hotel to Sedona is enjoyable. As for the Hilton itself, we couldn't have been more pleased. This hotel is charming from the lobby with its fireplace and comfy sofas, to the professional and friendly staff. Everyone there was totally responsive to any questions we had such as a good place to eat or the best way to the Grand Canyon. One of the girls at the desk told us we should go to the Grand Canyon one way and return another. We are so happy we followed the routes she suggested as the drive there and back was just so beautiful. We stayed in a small, one bedroom suite with a fireplace and this was the cleanest hotel room we've ever stayed in, period! The furnishings looked new and clean so maybe there's been a recent remodeling? The balcony was little and cozy and we enjoyed sitting, reading and talking there as we looked out at the red rock formations. The pools are heated and there are lovely firepits to sit around and talk in the evenings. The spa has everything you could possibly want and has great hours. The restaurant is pricey but as Hilton Gold members we had a complimentary continental breakfast which was very good. Fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea, pastries, oatmeal and cereals. Also, there are plenty of other places to eat nearby. The walls are thin enough that it's annoying listening to doors slam if people enter and exit their rooms continuously. However, what hotel doesn't have this problem? We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming place to stay in Red Rock country. And we will certainly return many times in the years to come. We stayed at the HIlton Sedona for three nights in April - the hotel has some great views and a great location. Overall the hotel was well kept and the room we had was large and comfortabe. We had great views - the room also had a kitchen type of area which was helpful for the kids. One misleading thing about this hotel is that it is not actually located in Sedona. It is in a small town about 10 miles south of Sedona - but we found this to be helpful - as there was a lot fewer people around and it seemed like a quiet area. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant downstairs wasn't really anything special - not worth the money. But there was a great breakfast and lunch place right across the parking lot we went to each day. Overall, this was a nice hotel in a great location - we would definately stay again! We feel very privileged having stayed there for 6 nights. We had a suite with a view on the family pool on the 2nd floor (#3070, I think). It was stunning. It was equipped with a small kitchen and table, and microwave. The fridge was full but they allowed us to empty it as long as everything was back before checkout. Carpets, sheets, towels were pristine clean. Toiletries are by Evelyn&Crabtree. In the main room there was a large sofa which we opened every night for our son. There was a fireplace but we never had to use it. The bathroom was gorgeous with separate toilets. The air conditioning system is the best I have ever seen. There is an ice machine on each floor and a laundry room on 2nd floor. Amazing - I was so pleased I didn’t have to go to town to find a laundrette ! and it was only 1 dollar. About the location: good shops 3 minutes drive but Sedona itself is a long drive (25 minutes) Pools : there is one where all the guests can go to, and the one within the spa which is a proper swimming one with lanes. You can access the spa free if you have a suite I think, but if not ,you have to pay $10.00 per day. Both pools are great, if only a bit cold Food: we didn’t have breakfast there, only dinner, which was very good. Staff: overall very helpful. Cleaners don't speak a word of English and are very slow (or understaffed). Negative points now: the lack of gardens, the rather snob staff at the spa and the strong feeling that the website pictures are much better than reality. But then we still think that this is one of the best places in America and we will certainly return. We only stayed at this hotel one night, but I visit Sedona a couple times a year and I've always wanted to stay there. I wasn't disappointed! The stay was for my birthday/new years and without anyone asking, they had a complimentary bottle of champagne with 2 glasses and a card wishing me a happy birthday waiting in the room. Also, upon check-in, I was given information on things going on that evening for new years, again without my having to ask. We ordered room service for dinner and not only was it fast, but the person who brought it was very polite and asked how my birthday was going so far! We ordered breakfast as well and I'll say the food was pretty good and decently priced, but not the best I've ever had. Our room was on the 3rd floor and overlooked the parking lot, but obviously in the distance were mountains so it wasn't so bad. The room itself was a little smaller than I expected, but still wonderful! I absolutely loved the fireplace and kept it on most of the while we were there. The bed was comfortable (as most Hilton beds are) and everything was very clean! I'm picky when it comes to hotel rooms being clean, but I had not one complaint here. Overall, wonderful and I will definitely stay here again. And one other note, it's really not far from Sedona as some have mentioned. It's literally down the road/a few minutes drive and it's beautiful there, so why would that be such a bad thing? My girlfriends and I travel once a year for a girls week away. While at the Sedona Hilton, we booked different spa treatments. My massage was absolutely the best I've ever had in my many travels. My therapist greeted me with a smile and genuine interest in my stay. She asked what I wanted in regard to the massage and actually exceeded my expectations. I suffer pain in my hip and she explained possible explanations and spent a few minutes releasing very tender areas. My hip has never felt better. Most spa therapists perform a body treatment with little personality or communication. I found this massage extremely relaxing and effective. At the end, she told me how much she appreciated my business and hoped our stay would bring us back. Thank you, Karen, for a wonderfully self indulgent hour. I would recommend the spa to any guest. Very pleased with the comfort and amentities of this resort. However, when I called Hilton for reservations- they said no rooms were available for conference price so I logged on to the Hilton website and had no trouble reserving for advertised price. Nice, large suite with two TVs and nice bathroom. Microwave but lacking a mini-fridge. Not in downtown Sedona, but away from crowds and nice peaceful location. Good food at restaurant/room service. Great concierge service. Hotel has spacious two-room suites which are nice for a multiple day stay. The front room had a fireplace which was nice for the time of year we were there (Nov) when the lows hover above freezing at night. As for the room amenities, it was nothing special but very practical and perfect for what we needed. It would be great for a small family. The spa was nice and just a short walk from our room. Staff at the spa was friendly and services were outstanding. Had a great massage. A couple drawbacks of the property are its proximity to Sedona and the fitness facility. The hotel is in Oak Creek which is about a 10 to 20 minute drive (depending on traffic) from uptown Sedona. The village of Oak Creek has some nice restaurants and a cool bike / coffee shop named Bike N' Bean. You can rent bikes there and get directions for a fun mountain bike ride. The fitness facility has a fee for usage, but I think that fee includes access to the spa facilities at well. OK if you're looking for that, but not a good deal for someone just looking for some exercise. Stayed here one night. The room was very nice and it had a gas fireplace as advertised. Great location. Recommend Cucina Rustica for dinner (it's within walking distance) and their attached shop for wine or a snack. Would definitely stay here again. I had to be in Scottsdale on a Friday, so I extended the trip to accomodate a Sedona weekend. I Pricelined a 3 star room, but got the Hilton Sedona Resort instead. Ordinarily this would be a plus, but like other resorts, Hilton added on a $25/day resort fee for amenities I didn't use. It's hard to say whether Hilton or Priceline is the culprit here. The hotel is actually in Oak Creek which is at least five roundabouts south of Sedona--in other words, it must be driven. The hotel has a lovely golf course. It also has a spa with a small fitness facility, a few well maintained tennis courts, a lap pool and typical spa services at typical resort prices. The hotel's regular pool was small, unlandscaped, and vacant despite a full hotel and warm weather. The rooms are nicely appointed, average sized and have a microwave and mini-bar. Ours had a broken fake fireplace. The bathroom was larger than most. Our room was on the first floor facing the pro shop so we had a nicely landscaped patio and a mountain view (not red rock mesas) that was nice but not exactly breathtaking. Our visit focused on national parks, so we have no experiences with the restaurants, recreational facilities, etc. The common spaces looked rather average. If it wasn't for the resort fee, I would say the $110/night we paid would have been a good value for this hotel. We've stayed at resorts in Sedona (Enchantment, L'Auberge, etc.) and the Hilton doesn't qualify as a true resort. The Sedona Hilton was essentially what I expected after reading the Trip Advisor reviews and looking at the hotel website, although the pictures from the website were a little flattering. The decore is Southwestern style, some reviews seem to confuse this with not being up to the Hilton standards but they are simply trying to fit in with the surroundings. Location - I liked being in Oak Creek. Only a 10 minute drive from Sedona and much quieter than Sedona which is a bit of a tourist trap. Right on the main highway, steps from the golf course and a couple of restaurants. Food - I read the poor reviews and firgured it was just people being fussy but the hotel restaurant is truly awful. Limited selection, slow service (seem to be understaffed), average tasting food at best. I was also disgusted to walk down the hall in the morning and still have the room service trays from the previous night laying on the floor with leftover food and drinks on them. I would think someone could have got to these during the night. Fortunately the little mall below the hotel has a great breakfast spot and an excellent Italian restaurant called Cucina Rustica. Cucina Rustica was so good that we booked a table for the next night while we were eating there on the second night of our trip. Don't miss it! Rooms - very clean, modern, recently renovated. Parking - very convenient parking surrounds the entire property. Pools - decent. A little small but there were plenty of lounge chairs. Overall I would consider staying here again if I went back to Sedona but might look for something smaller and more intimate. This hotel would certainly be better than any of the major hotel chains I saw in Sedona itself. Most of them were on a very busy road and looked fairly average to me. We stayed at the Hilton Sedona for 3 nights in June as part of a 2 week trip through the west. We choose a suite for our family of 4 and were very happy with the choice. We were travelling with another family whose experieces and opinion were identical to our own. Location first: We found the Hilton Sedona great for access to (and a beautiful view of) the Bell rock and Courthouse rock areas for hiking, climbing, and cycling. You can get your required Redrocks parking passes in the hotel giftshop. The hotel is outside of downtown Sedona - which helps avoid a lot of the traffic and construction currently in that area. We were told the construction is at least a year away from completion, and can really snarl traffic. Downtown Sedona can be as short as 15 minutes or as long as 45 and seems unpredictable. Allow plenty of time. The area seems to be growing, and besides the hotel itself, there are a few shopping and dining establishments nearby - ranging from casual to higher-end. We liked breakfast at "Desert Flour" just up the road - much cheaper than the hotel breakfast buffet. Hotel and staff: Our room was ready before posted check-in time - staff was friendly and efficient though we did find the concierge was incorrect on a few things (eg: the Lowell Observatory is not open Sunday evenings as he said they were. Fortunately we had him call to verify before we drove to Flagstaff). Meanwhile, the lobby and common areas all looked clean and well maintained. Icewater carafes and cups in the lobby were a welcome touch in the desert! I did see Internet was available in the lobby but I didn't see Wifi. My verizon Aircard worked well however. Outside: The pool area and landscaping were very nice - with heavily cushioned lounge chairs that were a step above and a view of Courthouse rock in the distance. We ate lunch by the pool several days and the food was good, the wait/bar staff were also very friendly. Rooms: The spacious rooms worked out perfectly - two queen beds in the bedroom with a flat-screen tv, a dressing area and sink that were separate from the bathroom. The living room had a sofa, fireplace, and another TV - (great for separating CNN from Nickelodeon). The main room also had a kitchenette area with a microwave, nice newer coffee maker, cabinets, and a small dining table for 4. The rooms looked well maintained or possibly even recently renovated Only two odd things about the room. One, the kitchenette was ok but basically useless - no flatware, cups or plates and the under-counter fridge is a mini bar - with instructions not to store personal items inside. So I'm not sure how much value it actually provides - other than a bit of extra storage space. The other was the overall design and layout of the rooms make for small, mostly-shaded windows. The balcony was also tiny - two people would really have to squeeze to sit outside. I suppose all this shade helps save on air conditioning (it is the desert after all), but it gave the living room and kitchen a very DARK feel. I kept wanting to open more windows. Our view was basically a parking lot view - with some interesting desert beyond that. Our friends view was equally dull on the other side of the hallway - though if they craned their neck they could see some of the golf course. Food: We only did breakfast at the hotel once - I just felt $19 a person for a scrambled egg buffet was excessive - even by downtown New York City standards. A "cold buffet" was available for $12 I believe. I think the buffet quailty was only average. For the rest of the stay we got takeout from Desert Flour - very good. We also had a few snacks/lunches by the pool - no complaints there. We didn't get a chance to eat dinner - we ate in town. Overall a nice hotel in a beautiful location. No real complaints other than price of breakfast. I would definitely consider staying there again. A nice enough place but I wouldn't stay here too many days if it was coming out of my pocket. I could see where it would do very well for splurging on a romantic weekend but I don't have a feel for the local competition - with the generic, corporate vibe at the Hilton I'd like to see if I could do better. Otherwise, not having the benefit of great gobs of money to drop on lodging I tend to look for places that don't charge extra for internet, health club, etc etc. Suites are always nice but is the space really needed such as when traveling with the kids. The kitchenette feature would be nice but as noted earlier - no utensils, flatware or refrigerator? I did see they would provide one but didn't need it bad enough to ask if there would be an additional charge for that too. I liked the location, away from the Sedona traffic mess, a few good restaurants covering a wide spectrum available in the village, just right on the corner is the Cucina Rustica for nice, and the Village Griddle for everyday. Easy access to hiking also. But again I don't have a feel for the competition right in Sedona - I could see where some of those might provide somewhat of sense of buffering from all the activity of Sedona while offering convenience of proximity. The hotel was very nice. The room and view were great. The only minus was that the hotel is about a twenty minute drive from downtown sights and shopping and tours. Our seven day stay at the Hiton Sedona Resort and Spa came with some mixed reviews. First, the Hotel itself is not in Sedona. It is located in The Village of Oak Creek, about 5 - 6 miles south of Sedona which is really not a big deal unless you factor in the road construction between The Village and Sedona. It is set in a lovely location looking out over Bell Rock and Courthouse Rock. Quite magnificient. The hotel was very nice. We were told it had recently been remodeled. We had a King Suite with a separate living room overlooking the golf course. It was quite a nice view and very quiet. We enjoyed sitting out on the small patio at night looking at the stars. The room had a gas log fireplace, dining table and microwave and coffee pot and sink. The separate bedroom was large and had ample closet space. The bathroom had a separate lavatory area with the tub/shower in a separate room. We only had a couple of problems with housekeeping. One day after returning to our room, I noticed that the housekeeping staff had left pillow cases on my suitcase. Another time, we were not left any clean towels. After calling twice, they brought up one towel even though we requested an entire set. Other than that, the concierge staff was most helpful; the doorman was delightful and the desk clerk was efficient. Now, the bad news is the restaurant. I have no other word for the food and the service but horrible. I have received better service at fast food restaurants and tasted better food in airports. The Tuesday evening special pork tenderloin was so dry and overcooked, I could not cut it with a knife. At breakfast, you almost had to trip a waiter to get coffee. If you can avoid the restaurant, which we learned quickly to do, then the hotel stay was very nice. We also took advantage of the spa and it was fabulous. Very clean, serene and the massages were welcome after a long day of hiking the red rocks. The staff was exemplary. We stayed at this property in March 2008 and really enjoyed it. Its a great hotel for families, and while I agree that its the cost is a bit higher, its worth it. I have read all of the reviews and frankly I dont agree with some of them. For example, I felt the service overall was very good, and frankly the fact that the hotel isnt actually in Sedona is not an issue at all, in fact I consider it an advantage as Oak Creek Village is very nice; its only 10 minutes from Sedona. I have two children ages 10 and 12 and they loved it! Although we didnt get a chanced to play golf, the golf course is incredible. The concierge service was also very good, friendly and helpful. I had an opportunity to go inside a few other hotels and Sedona and some of them were very unimpressive. If I come back again I would definitely stay at this hotel. We spent 3 nights at the Sedona HIlton. It is not in Sedona but is about a 20 minute drive south. We liked being out of the town but there was a bit of traffic between the hotel and town as the road is under construction. There is quite a bit of hiking nearby. The views were spectacular. We had a suite that had a king bed in one room and a pull out couch, microwave and table in the other. The rooms were a bit cramped but they were clean, quiet and comfortable. Great stay at the Hilton Sedona. 13 family members travelling together including kids and grand parents, all had a good time. Rooms were clean, big, all recently renovated with new beds and flat screen tv's. King bed rooms were actually suites with large sitting area and kitchenette, and huge bathrooms. 3 pool areas to choose from, including large lap pool at the spa, family pool that was great for our 4yr old and teenagers, and adult pool with quiet rules. Terrific spa and workout area, had a great massage, and my wife enjoyed the excercise classes. Restaurants were a bit pricey, but we ate out most nights anyway. Don't understand some of the bad reviews on this hotel, everything passed with flying colors, including the staff. Hotel is south of Sedona, but even with construction and traffic, it was never more than a 15 minute trip in to town. Highly recommend the Hilton Sedona. The Hilton in Sedona is unlike most plastic Hiltons. The decor is southwestern and excellently done. We had a small suite with a balcony on the second floor with a nice view of the red rocks. The rooms were extremely comfortable. We had a TV in both the living room and bedroom. A gas fireplace in the living room as well as a small kitchen counter with sink, fridge and microwave. A small dining table, a nice big couch and a writing desk completed the furniture. I especially liked the mexican type tile in the bathroom. All of the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. While we normally stay at either country inns or B&B's we were required to stay at this hotel because of a medical conference. In actuality, we were very pleasantly surprised. Oh, my wife thought the Spa was great, even if a little overpriced. I do recommend the Hilton Resort. Remember, though, it's about seven miles south of the center of Sedona in the desert, so you really need a rental car to get around. I rarely travel anywhere without first going to TripAdvisor to use the reviews to help make my decision. When we were looking into a visit to Sedona I found it very difficult to decide where to stay based on reviews. It seemed that there were many negative reviews about every properly in Sedona. We nearly changed our mind about the trip, but we really wanted to see the area so Hilton seemed a no brainer, even with some of the negative reviews, you can't go wrong with Hilton. We made the right choice. No, it wasn't perfect, they are still renovating the hotel and had just put down carpet on the first floor, so the second floor we were on smelt heavily of carpet glue the entire 4 days we stayed. We kept our windows open and that helped a lot. By this writing the flat screen TV's should be in so you'll be happy about that should you stay there. Our fireplace only worked on the days we felt the need to have someone start it up for us, but once the timer goes off it doesn't work again. The weather was awesome when we went and we weren't in our room that much so it didn't bother us. As far as location goes, as someone else said, the Hilton is about 10 minutes outside of the Uptown area of Sedona. They are doing some big construction on the street but should be finished soon and it will be really nice I'm sure. Just remember, when you get to the roundabouts, once you're in it YOU have the right of way. Keep that in mind, it helped me. Oh, one other thing that will drive the driver in the family crazy. When you get into town the speed limit could be 25mph, or 20mph, or 15mph, depending on what's going on. Trust me, keep to the speed limit. They have cops all over town writing tickets. After my first day there I found it kind of relaxing to drive that slow. I mean, the traffic is going that pace, no one is tailgaiting you even at 10mph. It's kinda ZEN. hehehe Lastly, there's a lot of hotels in Sedona to choose from. When you stay at the Hilton and drive into Sedona you see several hotels you read bad reviews of on TripAdvisor and I for one was very happy to have choosen the Hilton, those other places were dives!!! Stayed here Feb 15-17 2008 on a last minute getaway and had a great time.Got what we expect from a Hilton property, large room w/fireplace and great views of the red rocks. Did not expect free internet or breakfast as they were not advertised as to have it,the buffet was great and the staff treated us well and no need for internet when nature is right out your door. Front desk got us reservations for a Pink Jeep Tour which I recommend. We stayed at the Hilton as the last night of our trip in No Arizona. The suite was very cute and the hotel seems ot be undergoing some renovations, which seemed to be a good thing. However, as mentioned in other reviews, this hotel is not actually in Sedona - it is in Oak Creek. It takes about 10 minutes to get to downtown Sedona. However, the hotel is near some of the sights which people travel to Sedona to see and do - Bell Rock vortex and hiking, Courthouse butte hiking, Cathedral vortex and hiking, and Chapel of the Holy Cross. Our time in the room was short, but pleasant. Stayed here with a group of friends and was overall happy with the experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our suite had a small kitchen area with a microwave and sink, but the fridge was locked off as a mini-bar (annoying). The bedroom was nice and quiet with the doors shut, which was great when sharing a room with multiple people. The two pools are both beautiful and convenient. The spa nearby was a plus; if you have a spa service you can use the fitness facilities and even attend fitness classes. The food at the restaurant was decent, though nothing special. This property is a bit south of Sedona proper. When the road construction is done, the distance won't be a problem. Overall a nice hotel with friendly staff. Stayed at the Hilton for 3 days the end of September. The property is beautiful. We had a 3rd floor room with 2 queen beds and TV in the bedroom and a sofa sleeper, TV and fireplace in the living area. The "kitchen" counter was quite large; we used the mini frig, microwave and coffee maker every day. We found the rooms to be quite clean, ample towels and plenty of room for three of us. Our room faced the main parking lot, but noise was never a problem and we had a wonderful view of the red rock hills. We dinned at the hotel restaurant once for breakfast and once for dinner. Found the hostess a bit rude; the bar is right next to the restaurant and the night we ate there, a large loud party had gathered in the bar area for a while, making conversation at our table a little hard. We asked the hostess for another table farther back, and she indicated that the other tables were reserved. Even after our dinner, no one ever was seated in those "reserved" tables. A bit annoying. The service in the restaurant was very slow also. However both the inside and outside (pool) bartenders were excellent. Great personalities and very pleasant even when waiting on a big crowd. Other reviews talked about the thin walls. We were there during the week and at the end of September. Never heard anything from our neighbors. This property is located in the Oak Creek Village, which is about 10-15 minutes from the main streets of Sedona. But it is a beautiful drive and staying outside of town was very quite also. I would recommend this hotel and would return on another visit. This hotel worked perfect for us for our visit to Sedona. We played golf at the nearby Sedona Resort so that is why we booked this hotel. The room was very clean, certainly big enough for just the 2 of us and we did have a great view of the red rocks even though we overlooked the front parking lot. Actually it was a great room. The king bed was very comfortable. The bar and restaurant service and food were excellent. The bartender was very personable and efficient. All of the staff in the restaurant and bar and the pool area were wonderful. My only complaint about the whole stay was the front desk personnel. Upon check in they were not at all pleasant and were rude. We arrived at 6pm so it certainly was not late at night. So who knows what the problem was. I thought maybe just a bad day until the next day I asked a simple question of another front desk clerk and received an answer but in an unfriendly tone. Maybe I am being too picky but its just that the rest of the staff in the hotel, even in the gift shop, were so very nice and cheerful. Having said that--Yes we would stay here again. By the way, its a short walk to the Cucina Rustica--a fabulous restaurant. Go! Without a doubt, best part of staying here was the views from our room of the Red Rocks. It seemed like almost every room would have a view. Accomodations were okay. Fireplace was nice, but we couldn't see if very well from our bed. Bed was a little stiff, walls were thin and room was a little cramped. Location may seem out of the way for those who like to be in the middle of everything, but we preferred being away from the hectic downtown Sedona scene. The staff were fantastic. We inadvertently left several things in our room, and they handled it very professionally. We stayed at the Hilton for three nights. We had requested and paid for a golf or pool room view. I almost went back to the desk and requested a different view after looking out the window (photo attached), but decided I was on vacation and didn't want to have an argument. Yes, you can see the golf course, but the parking lot is much clearer. Definately not worth the money for the upgrade. We only had the overpriced breakfast at the hotel once, then we found the Red Rock Cafe which is on Verde Valley (one street up). We were still functioning in the eastern time zone and the Red Rock Cafe opens at 5:30 for a fast, reasonably priced, good breakfast. We also ate at Cucina Rustica next door which is good. The room was a laid out oddly with doors to open everywhere. There is no fridge, but the kitchen sink can be easily turned into a 'beer cooler' with the use of the hotel ice machine. The room was clean and the pools were nice, but if I were going back to Sedona for another trip, I would be looking for a different hotel. The hotel was nice, typical Hilton, but we were expecting more. First, it's supposed to be a spa, which they do have, but it's in a seperate building behind the hotel. The spa's we've been to in the past were more integrated into the whole property which really gave the hotel a spa atmosphere, this was not. The property is well kept and the scenery is absolutely amazing. The pools were a lot smaller than we expected. Our room faced the family pool which was heated (good thing since it was in the 70's while we were there). The hot tab was nice, but it would be better if they would take out some of the bushes so you actually have a view from the hot tub. The adult pool looked green which kept us away from it. Our room was nice, King Suite, so we had a seperate living area and a small kichenette. One odd thing, the kichenette had a lot of drawers that were all empty. Not one dish, fork, spoon, glass...nothing; so why have it at all? The conceirge was very helpful on where to go hiking, etc. The restaurant. We did eat at the on site restaurant, Grille at ShadowRock, one night. It was very disappointing. The food is very overpriced for the quality, and the menu seems like the chef is trying to cover the food with every kind of sauce they can think of. I got the Elk Chops which were very fatty. The menu would be better if they made it simpler. Tone down the sauces a bit too. As for the hotel not being in Sedona, yeah it's in Oak Creek, which is 7 miles from downtown Sedona, but who can complain with the view!! I'm having a hard time deciding if I had a 3 star experience or a 4 star experience. The hotel was nice – typical Hilton and typical Southwestern décor. We had a King suite, which gives you a separate bedroom from the living room area and a TV in each room. It was $285/night. It had a good sized kitchen table, a microwave and an honor-bar refrigerator. It also had a nice fireplace, though it was too hot to actually use. Off the living room, there was a small balcony with two chairs and a table. Unfortunately, our view was of the parking lot, but if you can look past that, the distant views in every direction are so beautiful. The grounds are nice and have lots of beautiful natural vegetation around the property. We saw quail and various kinds of lizards almost every time we walked around. The spa is in the back of the property, just past the pool. They offered several different kinds of massages, and I wanted to try something different so I opted for the Ayurveda style Desert Lotus Journey. It was $140, plus a $25 tip. I thought it was on the pricey side, but the spa environment was very peaceful and buying a service gets you access to the fitness center for the day. We did not use the workout room, but it was huge and had lots of good equipment. I had mentioned to the massage therapist that we were celebrating our 8th anniversary and when we left the spa, they gave us a small bottle of sparkling cider and two plastic champagne glasses. One very important thing to note, the Hilton in NOT located in Sedona. It’s about 7 miles south of Sedona in Oak Creek Village. I knew this going in, and since we had a vehicle, I didn’t care. I actually picked it because I thought it wouldn’t be as busy as the hotels in Sedona. I was wrong – I learned they were full when we checked in because I tried to upgrade to the Jacuzzi suite, but was told there are only four, so unless you are a 5-star Platinum Hilton Honors member, I doubt you’d ever be able to get one of those. There was an upscale restaurant within walking distance and a shopping/outlet center just up the road. If you do not have transportation, you’re kind of stuck with all Hilton food and activities. Sedona seems to attract a lot of seniors and a lot of them were at the Hilton. My husband and I are immature 40-year olds and we were a little disappointed that everything shut down around 9 PM. We hung out at the pool one afternoon and found people closer to our age laying out and having cocktails at the pool bar. Now for the food … we ordered room service twice. The first night, the wings were over-done and even though I asked for ranch, they brought blue cheese. My husband had the club sandwich which came with fries. We also split a piece of chocolate which was big enough for us to share. The bill was around $50. The second night we each ordered the peppercorn flat iron steak. It was PERFECT. However, it did not come with any side dishes. Our bill for the two steaks and a slice of cheese cake was around $75. We provided our own drinks each time. We drove into town several times for shopping, aura and psychic readings and had lunch at a couple of Mexican food restaurants. The worst was Oaxaca Restaurant & Rooftop Cantina. I loved the décor and the view from the enclosed patio. However, the food was horrible! It was bland and tasted like it came out of a can. The next day we tried Javelina Cantina. The food was much better and it still had a nice view. They offered indoor, covered patio and outdoor seating and had great views from most areas of the restaurant. The rest of Hilltop Plaza was also beautiful … lots of fountains, sculptures and a couple of shops. Overall, nothing was wrong with the Hilton, I just felt that for the money, we could have stayed at one of the other resorts for a more authentic experience. We drove around and checked out some of the other hotels listed on tripadvisor (well, three stars or better). Next time we’re going to stay at either the Sedona Rouge (much nicer than their web site makes it look), Enchantment, which looked as good as the website states, but it’s around 15 – 20 miles outside the city, but from the opposite side of where the Hilton is located. It’s probably the most expensive place there, but the seclusion, the spa and other amenities sure looked like it would be worth it. I would also have to guess that because it’s so far away from the city lights, you get to see a lot more stars in the night sky. It was practically surrounded by red rock mountains. We would have loved our 5-night stay here if not for the menacing tour buses. This hotel caters to the masses vs. individual travelers (go figure). If your lovely room and balcony face the front and if you, like us, enjoy leaving your windows and balcony door open and enjoy sitting on your balcony, you too might not especially enjoy the roar of diesel engines for a couple of hours in the morning and again in the evening, or the diesel fumes coming into your room, and you too could very well be very disappointed. This hotel prides itself on being "green?" The front desk couldn't have cared less about our concerns. Acted like they weren't even aware of what was going on just steps outside the lobby doors. Four buses were the culprits during our stay, coming and going. On the other hand, if buses and diesel fumes and hordes of people are your idea of a relaxing and fun vacation, you should be very happy here. After the third morning of these nuisances, we asked to be moved to the back of the complex, expecting to get an equivalent room, expecting that a "king suite" was a king suite. Such was not the case. We were moved to a shoe-box sized king suite that felt claustrophobic. Unfortunately we couldn't wait until check-out time. Could have changed hotels, but we we were basically locked in here...after having to sign an agreement upon check-in that we would be charged $95 for early check-out. The Sedona Hilton is not in Sedona. You can see the red rocks of Sedona from the car park which surrounds the hotel, And the scenery is truly grand. But there is no public transport and there are no taxis, so you will need your car to get around.. Our room was at the far end of the main building, in the front.. The room was a reasonable size, with comfortable beds and a balcony , a gas fireplace and a tv. An alcove opposite the bathroom was fitted with a microwave, a sink, a locked bar and coffee set-ups. But there are oddities. For example, the only mirrors in the room were in the bathroom and on the inside of the double closet door (which remained unnoticed until our last day). A touch of elegance is the inclusion of Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries. You are provided with a notepad but no stationary or envelopes. Lastly, the room was not made up on any day we were there before 4 o'clock in the afternoon. On our first morning, I asked at the desk for a trail map for walking (there is a three dimensional model trail display outside the main entrance of the hotel). I was told that the trails could only be reached by car but I could walk around the golf course when no one was playing golf. One leaves the building for almost everything offered here except food. The Sunday Night dinner menu offered a variety of dishes, I opted for the buffalo burger which, with no drinks, came to $18,00. The breakfast had variety too. but was nothing unusual. I did like the cold salmon and pancakes with hot strawberry preserves. It was here that the seating agent referred to us as "voucher people." The waiters were more friendly. There is a hotel gift shop and it is pricey, which is to be expected. But it does have five postcards for $.99 -- a good buy. All in all, the Hilton Sedona Hotel is OK, With the exception of the repairman we met in the elevator who fixed a faulty sink drain for us, I can't say that the staff knocked themselves out, We recently spent one night at the Hilton Sedona. I liked being away from Sedona proper; the Village of Oak Creek was quiet and lovely. The hiking in the Red Rocks area is spectacular. Our suite was adequate; maybe a bit cramped. We had a king bedroom and a living room with a pull out sofa. As noted by another reviewer, the only refrigerator was the honor bar frig and we did not attempt to unlock it. Our view did include the red rocks but also the next door neighbors' back yards and driveways. Not was I was expecting and nothing like the photos on their website. We used the Cascade Pool which was very lovely. We ordered a beer and one glass of house wine for a total of $17. A bit steep. Also, the breakfast buffet was very pricey: $17 for the full breakfast and $12 for the cold breakfast. We opted for less expensive, but tasty, items from the menu. The hotel also charges $11.95 per day for internet access. Every other hotel we stayed at during our vacation (at less than half the price of the Hilton) had free Wi-fi in the room. In conclusion, the hotel is very comfortable but nickels-and-dimes you to death. It's a shame because it is a very nice hotel and I think they would gain more by loosening up some. While we stayed in a really nice room, the service was just ok. The hotel property was also just ok. Sedona is a great place to wander though and that took up most of out time. I have to say it was really expensive for what we got. Would probably stay there again though. Would recommand this hotel if it would not be for two Major Negatives: 1) 10 miles outside of downtown SEDONA (which I was not aware of - 40 min drive due to major Road Construction) 2) Good Breakfast buffet; however, after ordering the "cold" buffet offered by the hotel at a reduced fee of $ 12 my husband got charged the Full Hot Buffet price of $ 18 since - as the waitress pointed out - he had smoked salmon "which is kind of pricey" ~ we felt this was absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous; my husband was so surprised that he signed the bill. When I mentioned it upon check-out they apologized for the strang "personal" attitude of the waitress but did not remove the difference; the $ 6 diff are certainly not worth to spend time for arguments during yr vacation time but I just felt way more surprised about an attitude like this --- I would recommand to just remove the salmon from their buffet if this is their concern !~ Although the resort does promote the Spa incl. basics like Gym facilities and adult swim pool you are not authorized to use them unless you buy an extra Day Pass which seemed to be very unethical as well. If a hotel is marketing to have a full lap pool and Gym it should be included and not be only available at an extra fee We liked the beautifully appointed decorated rooms w/ separate bedroom, 2 Flat screen TV's, Fireplace , kitchenette - very convenient We stayed at the Hilton Resort for free by using our good friend's hhonors points. The location is good but it would be better to stay in Sedona itself as most of the sightseeing is located closer to the surrounding area of the town. We stayed in a two room suite but it had no refrigerator so we had to use our ice chest for our drinks and yogurt. Now you must consider that this is a $200+ room. They also have an internet charge of $10.95 a day!!! Since we had three laptop computers they wanted to charge $10.95 for each computer ($32.85) for each day but they reversed the charge for two of the laptops when I complained. Two vouchers for continental breakfast were included. But the restaurant charged $23.00 to our room. We had that reversed also only after talking to the manager of the restaurant. The bill in the restaurant is very confusing as it says " will not be charged to your credit card" but it was charged to my credit card that I used at the hotel. The restaurant apologized for losing our vouchers. The suite itself is very nice. So if you feel like paying over $200 for a room which includes very little then go for it. Stayed here in a red rock suite (3080) as the last night before we headed home following 2 weeks in the ridge timeshare - paid $300 via the hotel website including b/fast. Views were as promised of bell rock and courthouse bute, however what they do not tell you is that the red rock suites are all above the hotel service access road so we were woken up by the sound of early deliveries, and whilst there is a small balcony you do overlook neighbours houses back yards so the balcony is not that private - however the view is stunning. The suite was small by normal standards, but well furnished and the bed was comfortable and linens good - pillows were far too small though - more like cushions. Kitchen area with microwave was handy. The bathroom was spacious, but the shower lackluster and the bath/tub was tiny and very low/narrow which was disappointing. The walls were quite thin and we could hear our neighbours air con in the night, the suite was also dark - but that seems standard for Arizona. Breakfast was excellent, service was very good and the staff very nice- we used our voucher to order a la carte rather than the buffet (it is either/or - not both)and the huevos rancheros and the scrambled eggs with spinach and cream cheese were superb - and for english visitors - they have teapots! Buffet looked excellent with as much as you could eat - great for families with hungry kids. Leisure - we used the spa and the lap pool/hot tub and found them to be excellent. Had lots of massages over the duration of our stay (you can visit as non hotel guests) and the massages were excellent. Overall this is not a Fairmont or a Four Seasons but it is a nice hotel - however only if there are deals on otherwise it would be expensive. The location is outside of sedona in the village of oak creek - however having been to sedona many times I find this are is quieter and close to some good hikes - uptown is only 15 mins away, but you do need your own car - there is no public transport. All in all this hotel was nice, and a short scenic drive to the shops and restaurants in downtown Sedona (though construction on the main road is ongoing). The rooms were decent (king suite gave a fair amount of privacy for families). The two-tier pool, though small, was perfect for our kids. However, there was only one restaurant open during our stay, the main one--the poolside one was not open at all. We ate elsewhere most days because of this. The breakfast buffet in the main restaurant was $17.50 per adult, so we found ordering room service one morning more economical. The gym is located over in the spa, a short walk, and was not free as we expected, but $10 per day per person. The internet was also $10/day. I'd hoped to maybe get a massage at the spa, but at a hefty $129, I passed. Also, be ready for the big drop in temperature each day. While the days were hot, the nights were very windy and cool. All in all it was a nice place, though we've stayed at better Hiltons, such as in Hawaii. I selected this hotel as I am a Hilton Honors member, and was using points for my vacation. As a diamond member, I stay in many Hilton family hotels (more than 75 nights in the last year alone). That said, I have to say this hotel is a disappointment. It is clean, the people are friendly, but it does not warrant the status it portrays. The rooms are small and rather bland. The fireplace was merely a glow, with a 30 minute timer you could hear ticking anywhere in the room. The business center required a credit card to use the computer (hard to believe but true). Had I been charged the $300/night vs using points, I would have found different accomodations. I notice most reviews here do not mention the golf course (another main reason for my choice). The golf course is beautiful. My wife does not play, but rode along and enjoyed the scenery for 4 hours. It is a bit pricey @ $105 / round, but right in line with most resort courses, though rental clubs @$50 was a bit steep. To do it all over again, I would book the Hampton Inn / Sedona, use fewer points, and drive to the golf course. We stayed at this hotel as my husband had a conference there and we assumed that it would be easy. It was a large hotel several miles south of the downtown strip. Hiking was near, but the property was not really conducive to "enjoying" the surroundings. They have a few lovely pools, and the "spa" was nearly inaccessible for our $300 a night. They don't throw in the work out facilities but because we had a conference coupon, we could use it. The Hilton tag line says that travel should be special, but the dark room we had, the very poor design of the cave-like restaurants were depressing. Couldn't even find parking one night! We happily moved to a Bed and Breakfast on our last night and were charmed to have a piece of real local life. If you need room service perhaps this is for you, but the lack of anything personal will keep us away from this property and keep us away from big chains for a very long time. We had a great trip from LA-to Scottsdale-Sedona-Grand Canyon, but the stay here wasn't one of the highlights! The Hotel is located about 15 mins outside Sedona, so everything is at least that long of a ride, and with Kids that isnt easy! We did have some great hikes, Sedona is everything people say it is-gorgeous! But for the money you can find a nicer place to stay then here! I got suckered in because the kids love a pool, and this hotel supposely has one of the largest-well it was ok at best, had a cool fountain in it, but the water was so COLD coming out of not one kids would play in it. It goes on and off and when it goes on everyone runs for cover! it also makes the pool cold since I think the water coming out isn't heated, yet the pool is. we had a nice time but no way is this place worth the $230 a night we spent! The rooms (suite) was ok, a bit cramped for a suite, food in hotel was good, service was one word-_BRUTAL! There were a few people working there that me and my wife are still trying to figure out what planet they came from! We did eat at the L'Auberge de Sedona Resort and it was great--wish we stayed there as well right in town and beautiful laid out along the creek! Dinner there is a must, expensive but worth the splurge! As for the Hilton-I would have Stayed at Kings Ransom and saved myself $100 a night and been happier--The Best Western right in town looked good too, and the Hyatt as well! But for the money the Hilton isnt worth it! Also note--they will tell you every room has a great view--but in reality about %5 of the rooms actually look out at the Red Rocks--the rest look up into Oak Canyon and Shadow Rock Mountain. Across a gold course, parking lot and highway-depending on your setup! Our room which I specifically asked to have a view--was of the back parking lot ! I came to the Sedona Hilton for a conference and it was more than adequate, but I would not select it for a trip to Sedona unless I was playing golf. It is not in Sedona proper and not on the best side of town for the really spectacular views. While I read about spectacular views in other reviews, the three people in my group all had obstructed views or views of the neighboring houses, roofs, etc. The food and room service was average. The hotel reminded me of an Embassy Suites located in a suburban neighborhood with a golf course next door. The room I was given had a sitting area and small bedroom, with a lot of doors for closing off various areas. It would be great for someone traveling with small children. While normally I would not come to Sedona for business, I needed internet, etc. They have it for $9.95 a day -- no wireless in the rooms. It was not arranged very well for business either - the desk does not have a phone, it is on the other side of the sofa. My balcony was tiny, uncovered and overlooked a patio and a roof, and the neighboring houses. The staff was pleasant, but it is not heavily staffed -- no valet, doorman, gift shop closed for dinner breaks, trays in the hall overnight, etc. The spa was nice and seemed to offer a wide range of services. Hilton has apparently been sold on the little single cup coffee makers, which I hate. Why not put a full pot in the room and sell extra coffee in the mini bar? The bath was very average: small tub, average shower head, nothing special. There was no make-up mirror or light. Overall, it was adequate, with the exception of the bed, which was very comfortable.

This is not the place to stay unless you are a "Hilton Family member". We were travelling with my 87 year old mother and asked if we could check in a little early (before 4pm). They said our rooms were not ready. We sat in the lobby waiting and watched as they checked in group after group early. When we asked again, they told us that all those people were "Hilton Family members", whatever that was supposed to mean! The rates are outlandish for everything. The only thing included with your room cost is use of the 2 pools at the hotel. Don't even think of using the Spa or spa pool unless you want to pay an extra fee each day. The hotel restaurant serves "exotic" foods and is incapable of serving a simple salad. The prices are out of sight for what you get. The maids seems to be allowed only 5 minutes to make up your room each day and do the minimum servicing. The only plus at the hotel is if you have a maintenance problem in your room, the maintenance crew is quick to respond. The Hilton is overpriced for the quality of the hotel and location. The hotel feels like it was let go for years and they are now trying to fix it up. It is a good 20 minutes from downtown Sedona with light traffic. We were lucky enough to have a room with a view, if not for that, I would have probably given it 1 star. The decor is from the 70s and very tired looking. However, they do seem to be redecorating. The bathroom had been updated with nice tile and they are replacing the old TVs with plasmas, but the carpet in the main area was old and worn and the cabinets were very beaten up. The concierge was less than helpful. After spending 2 days in Sedona, I think I could give better recommendations and directions. If I go to Sedona again, I will stay closer to town, perhaps in a bed and breakfast or a small inn, of which there seem to be many to choose from for a much lower price. It is not a disgusting filthy hotel by any means, but for the price, I expect much more. For two Benjamins a night, this place still feels it necessary to nickel and dime you for just about everything. Free wireless internet? I don't think so. That'll be eleven bucks for 24 hours. Complimentary breakfast? I don't think so. Breakfast buffet is 17.50. I have never been to any hotel in recent history that didn't offer at least one of those for free to their guests. I was too scared to try to use the weight room for fear of being charged as I've heard many hotels now charge to use it. I was actually surprised that the ice machine didn't have a bill acceptor. At least the propane fireplace was free, which was surprising. My wife and I expected to be charged for it when we checked out, but weren't. The shower head is old and the stream is not very good. Hilton, spend ten bucks and upgrade them. The shampoo is horrible so bring your own. It severely drys out your hair and the conditioner doesn't help. The rooms are not bad, but not worth two Benjamins a night. Do yourself a favor and get this resort for one Benjamin on a certain site that allows you to name your own price. We did so we don't feel too bad, but still. The staff was very nice which is why we gave it a two. This was our first trip to Sedona and since I am a Hilton Honors member we booked the hotel on points. The hotel is ok and the employees are friendly and helpful, but anyone planning on booking should be aware of a few things. The hotel is actually in the community of Oak Creek Canyon, about 7 miles south of Sedona (this doesn't sound like much but on winding mountain roads it takes a little more time than expected to get to Sedona and back). There is also significant road construction currently being done between Sedona and Oak Creek causing more delays and you will get the noise in your hotel room from about 5am till dusk. The hotel itself is very limited on scenic view rooms so make sure you are getting what you expect when you book. Also, although it advertises itself as a resort and spa, it doesn't llive up to what I would expect from a resort and the spa has limited amenities and staff. Were I to do it again, I would book a hotel in Sedona proper.
