My Husband and I stayed here with our dog for 3 nights, on a weekend that Havisu sponsored a 3 day concert & jet ski competion. The area was nice and quiet. We were pleasantly suprised at the spaciousness of the room, friendliness of the staff and landscaping of the pool area. For the money, this is the best place to stay in Havasu if you have a pet, and aren't concerned about being that close to the lake. There is a lake view from the balconies of the second story rooms. The boat parking lot was a big plus, and we will definitely stay there again when we visit that area! The hotel was great for the reasonable cost. It is no longer a Best Western which might explain why the restaurant is closed.. It has been renovated somewhat, the room was spacious and had direct access to the courtyard and very attractive, large pool. Although not close to the water, etc., it was near several restaurants and bars and a reasonable driving distance to everything else. Although it was a little scary looking from outside, we were pleasantly suprised. The rooms were good sized, clean and quiet. We stayed one night on our way from the Grand Canyon to San Diego, and wished that we had more time to spend there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend thsi hotel to anyone without any reservations. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights over Memorial Day weekend. We have camped in the past so we figuered anything would be better than that. I have to say we were impressed. The price was good and the rooms were fairly large and clean. We paid $330 total for 5 nights. The gated boat parking was great. We had a room down stairs and were able to access it from the courtyard or the parking lot due to the 2 doors, which was nice. The pool was decent, though we used it just once. A jacuzzi would have been nice. The beds were comfortable. The towels were a bit thin. The hotel is about a mile from the London Bridge. There are plenty of fast food places and markets really close. The thing we liked most was a little bar called BJ's that we found, litteraly, just a few steps behind the hotel. It was nice to be able to drink and not have to worry about driving back to the hotel. The only problem we had was with the A/C. It turned off by itself which the front desk told us was normal due to the thermostat. But it wouldn't come back on by itself. We had to turn the knob to off and then back to high cool again. I bit annoying but otherwise everything was great. We are staying here again for 4th of July weekend. This is our favorite place to stay in Havasu. We have stayed at expensive hotels, hotels on the water, and this place is just so comfortable, we always end up coming back. Perfect place to stay if you have a dog. Staff is great. This is good value for money. The rooms were clean and spacious and overlooked the pleasntly designed pool area. ["Lake view" is only from a rear door onto a very small balcony also overlooking the car park.] The complementary breakfast was quite adequate and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to stay if you are boating all day. Why pay for a room you are not going to be in most of the time. Its a place to stay in town economically. we visit havasu several times a year and stay here at the best western ..the rooms are clean the people are nice and our kids love the pool.everthing in town is close by>>great palce to stay!! We have relatives living in Havasu, but, when it's hot and the kids want to be in the pool we stay at Best Western Lake Place Inn. We also like the restaurant next door for breakfast and the small lounge on the other side of restaurant for afternoon cocktails. The location is excellent with any kind of shopping, movies, bowling alley, restaurants, etc. within close walking distance.I recommend this place as a good value for families and anyone looking for a clean, quiet friendly place to stay. A very modest accomodation. The motel is old but reasonably well maintained. The name implies it is a lakefront or lake view accomodation...It isn't. It is far above the lake on a hill, very little view if you're lucky enough to have any view at all. Rooms are spartan and beds need replacing. Best feature about the motel is they accept small dogs. Stayed here for one night on the way from LA to Tucson. Very comfortable "old style" motel. Accommodating staff. Room was large and clean. Beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Breakfast had usual offerings but was well organized and plentiful. Would highly recommend for an overnight to see the area or just passing through. It's a bit hard to find. We booked this room as a lake view with balcony which although that was pretty much the case we didn't realise the balcony was a shared one reached from a back door from the room. Which meant if both rooms had their back door open you could walk straight through from your room to theirs - not very good for security. The area around the front of the hotel by the lobby was not the nicest looking area. Also there was no elevator which was hard going up two flights of stairs if you had a large suitcase. Stayed here for one night as a stopover between San Diego and the Grand Canyon. We arrived at 10pm, and the staff were very helpful getting us to our room quickly. The rooms are nothing special, but are very large and clean, which is all we needed. Lake Havasu was very quiet, maybe as it was a weekday, and out of season, but it seems like there not much there other than London Bridge and some water sports. All in all it was cheap, clean and ideal for 1 night. I spent one night in Lake Havasu at the Lake Place Inn. The hotel is excellent value on the basis that the room was clean, comfortable and incredibly cheap (I paid about $60 USD). The hotel looks like a prison from the outside, but the room was a pleasant surprise and great for my one night. Check-in was a little sluggish, but nothing to write a nasty letter about. I did not try the breakfast. All in all, a fantastic choice for a short stay in Lake Havasu City. If you are looking for somewhere simple to stay this is the place. It is a good value for the money. It's not fancy, but a clean hotel to crash and shower at. The staff was very friendly. | ||||

my family friends stayed at this property very far away from london bridge. location not to good, for beach lovers. to much noise evry night my family stayed here. Nxt time prefer to stay on London bridge road. i do not recommend any one to stay here it's 3 miles away from any lake. and place is not situated in right location. Why? Restaurant was closed for how long who knows. bad bad location. Oh wow. Just driving up was a big disappointment after a long drive from Sedona. We had booked this desk from the lovely Best Western Arroyo Roble in Sedona (see separate review), and it was still listed as a BW. The desk woman at Lake Havasu said they were no longer a BW, but nothing had changed much. "Lake View Inn" is a complete joke. Not only are you at least a mile from the lake, you are in an older, not so great area. We drive up in an "alley" backing up to a shops & a bar with barred, locked windows & doors. Not feeling very safe already, we park. We are the only ones in the parking lot except for the maid & desk woman... The restaurant doors are broken & covered in black paper & cardboard. That's your welcome. We asked to see the room that had been reserved. Walked through a dry, barren courtyard, no shade or cover around the pool, not even umbrellas. Pool looked clean. No jacuzzi. Room was 2 queens, back door to nothing (boat yard) of lava rock. Small room & bathroom - looked clean, but bedspreads were ancient & carpet not too nice. We went to lunch & asked local kid where a reasonable clean place was in town & he recommended the Hampton Inn (see separate review). That is were we ended up, as we did not feel safe or secure especially since we were the only ones there (2 teen girls & ourselves) or that the hotel was clean enough.
