Balladins Superior Hotel Bremen

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. The stay was nice, the staff was really helpful and nice. The room was spacy and clean. The hotel is outside of the city center, in peaceful area. Great way to get to know the public tranport system (great bus connection to city centre) and also Bremen outside the city centre. We would recommend the hotel to anybody wishing to have a good night sleep.

Not too easy to find. After driving around for a while, we had to phone the reception to get better directions than the information posted on the internet. Shouldn't be too difficult for the hotel to remedy this weakness. Not a very central location but ok for car users. Free private parking. Large room, well equipped, high standard, good beds. Spotlessly clean and no traffic noise at night. Very satisfactory scandinavian style buffet breakfast. Paid 69 euros for a double room plus incidentals, in all 73 euros, hot breakfast included: Really excellent value.

When you arrive at Bremen airport make your way to the tram station just outside the terminal building. Take the No.6 tram into Bremen town centre and from there catch the number 24 bus from the town centre to the hotel. The bus stops directly outside the hotel. Don't take a taxi from the city - they are over priced and seemed to take longer than the bus.

The hotel itself is situated in the suburbs in very attractive street. Not a lot in the vicinity to be honest - a Lidl supermaket and McDonalds just around the corner. A very attractive entrance and very friendly front desk staff gave a good first impression of the hotel. The room was small but comfortable.

We had dinner at the hotel on our first night. The menu is reasonable although you will struggle if you dont like seafood. Prices are very reasonable however and the food was generally good. The small bar is also very good and reasonably priced. It is fairly pleasant to enjoy a drink in the bar in the evening. The bar is comfortable and the staff are generally very friendly and attentive.

In summary the hotel is fairly basic in terms of the amenities it affords. However it is comfortable and the staff are friendly.

The hotel name is changed to "cruise cafe hotel" maybe under a new management. Stayed there for 3 nights during a business trip. The hotel is far away from city center and other attractions, better have a car and a good map (or a GPS device) as the streets in Bremen are not so easy to navigate.

The room I got was very small, there was not even a proper place to put a suitcase, only a handbag or a small trolly. But it was clean, and the bathroom looks renovated.

There is no coffeemaker and a safe in the room. The service was OK and small problems were fixed promptly. Another pro: excellent breakfast buffet, far above the level I expected from this kind of hotel.

Stayed here for the one night. Had sat nav so was easy to find but could be difficult as it is in the suburbs. Room was spotlessly clean and good beds but furniture a bit dated. Excellent bathroom which seems to have been recently refurbished. Had both bath and an over the bath shower which had excellent power. Not enamoured with meal choice in evening but could not fault the excellent buffet breakfast which had a vast variety. We booked through an agency and paid 64 euros for the room and 13 euros each for breakfast. Plenty of car parking around the hotel but there is a warning at reception advising that there have been recent thefts from cars and asking you to ensure that you left no valuables visible. We encountered no problems and would probably use this hotel again.

The room was very comfortable and not noisy considering this hotel is situated on a junction of two very busy roads. Unfortunately there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which is a bit disappointing, as was the fact that the BBC channel we were informed by the receptionist was available on the TV was no where to be found. Breakfast was ok with a reasonable selection on offer. Hotel manager was very helpful. Be warned though that this hotel has been suffering with some thefts from vehicles parked in their car park but cannot be faulted with the steps they are taking to improve this problem and do not be put off by the sight of the local police making regular checks. We were lucky enough not to have been affected. This hotel is also located quite away from the centre and sights.

Un hotel molto bello, 4 stelle meritatissime, se poi aggiungo che abbiamo pagato solo 27€ in media a notte diventa l'hotel perfetto! abbiamo prenotato grazie ad expedia circa 2 mesi prima della partenza approfittando del grande sconto.

l'hotel è lontano dal centro, ma l'autobus n.24 passa esattamente (e quando dico esattamente intendo dire esattamente) ogni 10 minuti consentendo di arrivare in centro in circa 15 minuti. ne vale la pena, perchè la zone dell'hotel è molto bella, residenziale e poco trafficata, tranquilla anche di notte. considerando , poi, che le serate di brema terminano alle 21 non occorre avere un hotel in pieno centro per godersi le attività notturne.

Le camere sono belissime, anche se nel sito se ne vede solo una parte sono esattamente così, confortevolissime, luminose e molto pulite. il personale è gentile, disponibile e parla molto bene l'inglese (lingua non conosciuta bene dal resto dei tedeschi). lo consiglio proprio!

ho soggiornato 2 notti in febbraio (2008) ad un prezzo ottimo - eur 118 (solo pernottamento) camera doppia - era un super sconto prenotando per tempo (20 gg prima della partenza)

la posizione è comoda ai trasporti pubblici (linea diretta di bus per il centro giusto di fronte all'hotel) - ne passa uno ogni 20 min circa.. anche di domenica (un po meno frequenti). Il lato positivo è la tranquillità della zona (molto verde e rilassante) - meglio del centro caotico, soprattutto vicino alla HAUPTBAHNHOF (stazione)

cmq vi consiglio di comprarvi dei biscotti o prendere un'ottima colazione nelle BACK FACTORIES (---) a ottimi prezzi.

L'hotel è lontanuccio dal centro, tuttavia la fermata del tram è proprio dinanzi all'albergo e in circa 10 minuti siete in centro.

Per quanto riguarda la cucina del cruise restaurant(quello vicino al bar)...Sconsigliatissima! Fa veramente pena...Andate in centro e troverete qualcosa di meglio. Se invece doveste trovare l'altro ristorante aperto, credo che valga la pena provare. Io non avuto modo di mangiarci ma a giudicare dalla colazione spettacolare che viene servita al mattino, non dovrebbere esser male.

Per quanto riguarda le stanze...Carine e nuove. Ottimo livello di pulizia e personale cortese.

Unica lamentela che mi sento di fare non riguarda l'hotel, ma i taxi che abbiam preso per raggiugerlo.

State attenti! All'andata ci hanno rubato 25 euro, al ritorno, facendo un altra strada molto più breve, 11 euro! Negoziate prima!

Twice, we were left with not enough towels in the bathroom. Friends we met complained that in the restaurant, they waited 2 hours for their meal. This was because although the hotel was fully booked, the staff levels had not been increased from normal levels. On departure, they tried to charge us for breakfasts we hadn't taken and for use of the mini bar, when we had never used it. Even the basic bill was 20 Euros higher than when booked. Fortunately, I had a print out of the internet booking and paid only the original price. The room was fine, although the TV was ancient and took 20 minutes to warm up if the cleaner had pulled the power plug from the wall. The hotel is too far from the city centre.

Ich habe noch nie so eine unfreundliche Empfangsdame gesehen!! Das Zimmer war erst um viertel vor vier fertig und auch erst nachdem wir danach gefragt haben. Und nach Nachfrage bekamen wir eine patzige Antwort der Empfangsdame. Höflichkeit bei dieser Frau: Ein Fremdwort!!!!

Das Zimmer war oberflächlich sauber, aber hat man unter den Matratzen geschaut hat man viele kleine schwarze Haare gefunden. Ekelig!!!!

Die Badewanne war rostig und, sollte man über 1,75m groß sein kann man sich nicht die Haare waschen, da der Duschschlauch zu kurz war.

Das Frühstückspersonal kann nicht guten morgen sagen, wirklich niemand hat das gemacht. Und die Plastigmülleimer auf dem Tisch sieht auch nicht sehr einladend aus!!
