Interesting place, very new and really quite well equipped. The suites are very well appointed and the location next to lake okanagen is amazing. But they are very new and have some problems. their customer service is poor, we needed a crib for a baby an were told we should have booked as there were none left. no alternatives was offered to be honest they could not have cared less and i felt quite chastised by the check in staff. the rooms are nice but they are missing certain things which means forever phoning down the unhelpful desk, if they answer the phones. we were missing bottle openers, the grill pan, yellow pages or any infomation about the hotel including a room service menu. in the end we went to the restaurant for the menu, they were initially unwilling to give this to us. i tried to speak to the manager but the number was unreachable all day. all in all a nice place. a little work to bring it up to the standards of any other hotel would make it a very nice place.

We just spent the week end at the Cove; simply perfect! Located just by the lake (ideal for a reaxing walk) and only few mintues from everything you need - grocery store, liquor store, restaurants. Only 15 minutes from downtown Kelowna. Also only few minutes away from wineries, i.e. Quails Gate, Mission Hilld, Mont Boucherie (my favorite red). The condo was SUPER clean and well appointed. In a few words this is the perfect hotel for a nice getaway with friends or something romantic. We will be back!!! We were thoroughly impressed with the Cove Lakeside Resort. After staying at Lake Okanagan Resort for years (and having been disappointed numerous times recently) and the Grand Okanagan, we decided to try out somewhere new. We definitely have a new favourite! We stayed in the 3 bedroom lake view condo which was just perfect. The view was unreal, the condo was perfect and the resort was just plain fantastic. We were so impressed that by the time we left we were looking into buying a property there. This resort is perfect for families and young people. We even took our dog - the staff are quite accomodating to pets there are even places for them to go in the lake. We were thrilled with our choice and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Kelowna/Westbank region. I'd rate it #1 in Kelowna as well as Westbank. My husband and I stayed at the Cove for a couple of nights while visiting our daughter in Kelowna. We absolutely loved it. It was clean and bright and we were very pleased. We also stayed at the sister hotel in Whistler at Nita Lake Lodge with the same excellent service. WE had a 1 bedroom suite, which included a full working kitchen and even a wine fridge and dishwasher. The bed was so comfortable, and the balcony had a lovely view of lake Okanogan. The kitchen was complete with plates, wine glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, everything you would need to prepare a meal. They even have barbeques for guests to use. The location is a bit out of the way, on the west side, but a beautiful drive. I stayed in this Okanagan resort hotel during May long and was happily suprised. It was my grandparents 50th anniversary that weekend, which was at the nut farm right behind the Resort. I booked one (3bdrm) room for my girlfriend, brother, sister, and myself as well as another room for my parents. Our rooms were massive! Each with a washer/dryer, 2 bathroom, full gourmet kitchen, and a huge deck with an amazing view. We had a big breakfast at the restaurant in the morning and the staff were very accommodating of our big party. The overall service at this Okanagan Resort was excellent and appreciated. The only complaint was the hot tub wasn't very warm, but after we mentioned this they turned it up the next night. This Okanagan Resort Hotel really made this trip enjoyable and great. I have recommended this to friends since who have had the same great experience we did. My husband booked a one bedroom lakeview suite for our anniversary and our first impression of the hotel was fantastic. the lobby is amazing and the lady at the front desk was exceptionally nice to us. we stayed on the top floor of the hotel above the hot tub. our room was absolutly huge, and it was beautiful and had everything we needed. the room had 1.5 bathrooms, a living room/dining area, kitchen, large bedroom, loft, and a large deck. there was also insuite laundry and they even provided laundry soap and dishwasher detergent. the hotel has a pool (which was closed when we were there because it wasnt summer yet) and a hot tub, a spa, and a games room. the games room was ok it had ping pong and foosball, the restarant in the hotel is a 5 star, it has really good food, but not a ton of selection, i dont reccomend it for picky eaters as some of the things are strainge ie. wild boar taquitos. the little lounge is cute too, and the bartender we had was very nice. i highly reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in the off season, i cant speak for summer though as we have not stayed there during the summer months. Stayed at the Cove for a week over the summer. Fantastic property with a lovely view of Lake Okanagan. Excellent kids club with activities for the kids. Spent a very relaxing day at the Spa. The accomodations were five star -- a full housekeeping condo with everything we could have needed, including our own balcony access and private bath. The boys wouldn't get out of the water slide pool long enough to go to the beach on the Lake. Highly recommended. October is a really quiet season in this area. There were not many other hotel guests in this large resort. We booked for 2 nights. Check-in was good, the receptionist very friendly. There was free parking, some underground - very useful in wet and windy weather. We had dinner in the bar on the first night, the food and service there were pretty good. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. We had a 1 bedroom suite, probably about 700 sq ft. facing the parking lot, with mountain views. (As you would expect, the rooms facing the lake are more expensive). The suite had a kitchen with laundry area. There was a separate powder room, plus a full en-suite bathroom off a large bedroom with very comfortable king bed. The spacious lounge/diner had a sofa and chair plus dining table for 4, and large balcony with table and 4 chairs. There was a large plasma TV (crick in neck!) with DVD player too, with second TV in bedroom. Everything was pretty much new, the suite was well-equipped with plenty of storage space throughout. The housekeeping was excellent, everything was spotlessly clean. Nice little touches like single-use sizes of both laundry and dishwasher detergents. Great toiletries (Acca Kappa, smelled great which worked really well). Shower had good water pressure. Lighting in bathroom could have been better. Everything there you would need. There was very little information in the room about the hotel aside from how to use the DVD player and the heating controls. We had to call down to the front desk if we needed to know anything, and they were helpful. We didn't use any other resort facilities - the spa wasn't open and it was too cold and windy to use the pool and beach area on our visit, although they looked pretty good. This is a great place to base yourself in the area, you can use it as a hotel or self-contained accommodation. Wineries nearby, with good restaurants as an alternative (although at this time of year they were really winding down for the season). Lived like kings for 8 sunny days in July. The 1 bedroom suite was spacious, bright and well appointed. The kitchen was first class as were all appliances and utensils. We were in Rm 232, with a lakeside view and very large sundeck compared to other suites. Maid service was non-intrusive and effective. The 2 pools were very clean and the deck staff pampering with drinks and tapas/snacks. Kids had a great time on the slide and children's 3 foot deep pool. Safety gates to the lake and private beach made me rest assured. The breakfasts were large portioned and great value. We survived well on a late brunch and dinner. The Tex/Mex menu for dinner is not children oriented - hot and spicy. Ask for the children's menu for kids, even for teenagers, unless they want spicy. Food and liquor prices were fair. Restaurant service was impeccable most days; a well trained staff obviously. Two wineries near by (Mission Hill and Quail's Gate) to tour - great views and wine tasting. Great dinner at Quails Gate overlooking lake and vineyards. We will return many more times. 5 Stars. We stayed there for a week end and checked in on a Friday night. It has an excellent rustic atmosphere of high quality. We rented a two bedroom two bath suite which had the best appliances, the most well stocked ktichen utensils we have ever seen of superb quality. The deck off the suite was hugh and would be great in warmer weather. Great Views Excellent plasma TV over the fireplace. Beds are very good. Couches and chairs were a little too firm, but hey, for an all suite hotel it had so many other pluses so that was a minor issue. We held a 50th birthday dinner for our friend(s) and we were able to cater to the dining function as well as we could have in our own well equipped home. We will be going back in better weather to enjoy the lakeside setting. A new facility and a job well done. We are fussy, experienced, 5 star travellers so we are not easily impressed. This stay did impress us! Arrived in town to find that all hotels fully booked for the Friday night, last minute reservation at The Cove. Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Lovely hotel with great views of both the mountains and vinyards on one side and the lake on the other. Rooms were huge with all mod. cons. Restaurant had good food and we ate both dinner and breakfast there. Reasonable prices. Drinks in the bar, freindly atmosphere, helpful staff again and still resonable prices. Pool was great fun (only issue is lack of beds) we were down early to use the pool and swim in the lake and most people had already been down to reserve the beds/chairs/tables (90% reserved at 07:30am) Me and my husband had a great time at the Cove. We went for a relaxing/romantic weekend getaway and that's exactly what we got. The property is new, clean, modern yet cozy and just beautiful. The rooms are very large and spacious, all with kitchenettes, the pool area is nice, there are barbeques set up and 3 cozy firepits lakeside. We loved the firepits...we ordered drinks and appy's at the bar before we headed down to the lake in the evening and they delivered them to us. The service at the bar was kind of slow, they were very short staffed (only 1 bartender) but the drinks were great. We found the staff helpful, especially down at the marina/dock. The staff their went out of their way to help us rent a boat out in Kelowna. This resort is very close to the best wineries in the area...Mission Hills and Quails Gate. Downtown Kelowna is only 15 minutes away. The only thing is we didn't get much of a view from our room because all of the lakeside rooms were already booked. Also, there were no towels poolside in the afternoons nor any staff around to request some. Overall we had a great time and definetly want to go back with some friends. Clean, quiet, newer, large condo style accommodation. Girlfriend and I had a spa & wine getaway. The spa at the Cove was fantastic. February was super-quiet; we upgraded easily. We had a premium 2 bedroom suite with gorgeous lake & mountain views from our balcony. The Girls Night Out Package which included 2 nights, a bottle of wine, 2 massages, 2 pedicures and 2 maincures with a lunch at the spa was just under $780 including all taxes. Only major drawback is that the Cove in Westbank is a $40 cab ride to downtown Kelowna, more like $55 from the airport. Spent 2 nights at this resort over a busy weekend in the region with lots of festivities taking place. The hotel is in very good condition which one would expect as it is only a year old. We had a one bedroom suite which was very comfortable with all the needed amenities, just like a little one bedroom apartment except having all the conveniences of hotel service. The location is very nice on the Okanagan Lake and in a bit of a quieter area with picturesque views across the water. Nice large balconies to sit out on and enjoy the scenery.
Check in was a bit slow because they didn't have enough staff at the front desk for the amount of people when we arrived, however the wait was not excessive. The lobby area is attractive with lots of wood which is seen throughout the hotel. The staff throughout our stay were friendly and helpful for the most part although some of the younger people working in the restaurant could use a bit more training. The room was well serviced by the cleaning staff etc. so no complaints in that area. Breakfast in the restaurant was quite good however I was disappointed with the one dinner meal we had and would probably choose some of the other restaurants in the area before having another evening meal there. Lots of great wineries around that also have restaurants. All in all though I would not hesitate to stay at the Cove if ever visiting that region again. We recently stayed at The Cove for a night away that was a close bace to Kelowna. When we arrived we were very impressed with the overall look of the resort and it's location. The rooms are very nice (compared to most in BC) but the staff are the problem with this resort being a great place to stay. When we were trying to book we emailed and called twice before we actually got confirmed, when we arrived three young guys on reception seemed like they would have been better working in a skate/surf shop somewhere seemed a bit bored with the idea of welcoming guests. We had a problem with no hot water in the room, at $300 a night we wanted hot water, we were talked through how we could maybe fix the problem over the phone by reception, 2 hours later still no hot water. At this stage they upgraded us to another room which was great although the veiw from the first room was much nicer so wasn't much of an upgrade and then a few weeks later we find out they charged us for both rooms on our credit card, when we called they simply said we will look into it and sort it out... no opology or customer service. The thing that really bothered me about our stay here was during our dinner (it was my wifes birthday) there was a young guy that was hanging out in the bar with a mohawk and tattoo's which didn't bother me but when he stood outside the resturants window talking on his cell phone and spitting on the ground every few minutes I would have thought a staff member might have sorted that out. So if your looking for a nice place to stay without any service this is the place. Stayed at the Cove Lakeside mid-September. Possibly the first to ever stay in this hotel. There was still construction dust on the furniture and bedding, and the staff were still putting the final touches in the room, eg. pillows, garbage cans etc. There was one other room lit up in the hotel that night. Kind of an eery feeling. The problem here was that we were not informed of the extent that the hotel was not finished, when I booked the room. When we drove in, the guard asked us who are you here to see? And seemed surprised that we were there to stay, since the entire site still had construction material and workers everywhere. No pool, no tennis, no internet access in room, no restaurant, no where on the grounds to enjoy the walks on the beach described on the website. When all of this is in place, the Cove will be a beautiful place to stay, but for the time being, I felt ripped off by the $225 a night that we paid. Just make sure you ask questions before booking, if any of this is important to you.

rooms are ok, roomy with nice view if you have a view of the lake and the mountains, which we have, very nice. don't count on watching a movie in the theatre room if you are planning on getting one from their selection, very old movies. game room for the kids disappointing, they have 1 ping pong table and 1 foose ball for the whole resort, you have to wait in line. ping pong paddles so worn out, rubber is chipped and handle missing 1/2 of it. I will think twice on coming back. Everyone in British Columbia had known for at least two weeks that temperatures were going to soar over the May long weekend, however, when we arrived on Friday afternoon, the Cove pool was still not open. Very disappointing for families paying $380 a night to enjoy the sun and pool! The food in the bar/restaurant was over priced and not very good. Better restaurants can be found in downtown Kelowna, about a 10 minute drive away. The water heating system in our unit was not working for the first 2 days, so we could not have hot showers. When I booked the rooms, I was told that the bedrooms had 1 king and 2 queen beds. However, two of the bedrooms were only doubles. Fine for children but not very comfortable for two adults sharing a bed. The nicest part of the resort was the view to the lake, the spacious living area, and the large balcony overlooking the lake in the end units. If you are looking for a 5 Star hotel with terrible management and staff and no service this is the Hotel for you at over 600.00 per night. Compound this with management that are all talk and no action it was a frustrating weekend. Luckily for us we did not spend much time in the Room. We start our vacation Day 1 We arrived and had to take our own bags to the room, for we were directed to take one of their bellman's cart and unload our car ourselves. When entering the room we noticed huge stains on the carpet and the floors were filthy. We called housekeeping and the front desk and told us they had problems with the carpet that stains were soiling through after cleaning. there was no more rooms so we were stuck. They then called a young girl with no experience to clean the floor. Believe it or not a damp mop no soap. We got over our first days experience and focused on the landscape which was very beautiful. The second night out of 6 we could not even get reservations in the hotel restaurant because they booked a huge group. So you cant even eat in your own hotel. I called then the manager but she defered me the the resturant manager that got me in. I went down and half the resturant was empty and remained empty for the next 2 hours. I did not even want to question that one. The next night they got us in to Dine and even booked the best seat in the house overlooing the outside lake and mountains. When we arrived a young girl said that the table was ready and walked us over to find that someone else seated another couple in our spot. We were given a choice to eat a hour later 9pm or right in front of the kitchen where the AC could not get the temperature below 75 degrees. After free drinks, the coves way of saying sorry all time for mistakes we ate and left if was pretty good but not 5 star for sure. Day 4, the kitchen in the codo is still not cleaned and the floor not touched. At this point I called and left a message for the housekeeping manager with no call back. Day 5 at the pool we were told they thought it was going to rain so they kept all the pool and bar staff at home. It was sunny ay 80 degrees, they ran out of towles so were directed to bring our room towels down. Big mistake they ran out of room towels so guess what, no clean towels for the shower after the pool. Day 6, no clean kitchen, not call back from housekeeping , everyone saying sorry, no one coming to clean. Day 7 check out day, I went to the counter and was asked how was my stay, I replied just okay. She says how could we have made it better, I said a clean room and a call back from the numerous messages i left the manager. She said let me get her i said okay send her up to the room i want to show her personally. I said I want the general manager though she says no problem we want to make sure you are satisfied. Well up in the room with a knock 30 minutes later arrives a young girl asking about my complaint. I asked where the general manager was, and she said she asked her to take care of the problem. Enough said great resort with everything you need in a vacation with no management. With a new experienced mangement team in place they coould charge double. By the way we were with another couple, and met two more we all had dirty rooms, and no managemnet response. Alot of free drinks though. No excuses here. Found this place on the internet, looking for a place for my large family, sounded like just the place. Newly opened last year and our room flooded. Recieved a complimentary stay for this year, thought we would give it another try. Facility was not up to standards. Stayed for May long weekend, Kids pool with a slide was closed the whole weekend, second day hot tub was closed, third day the hot tub was open but not very warm. Restaurant food was expensive and not very kid friendly. Couldn't order off the menu on Sunday until after the buffet which we didn't want. Finally got our food after a lonnnnng wait and ribs were still frozen inside. Likely will not return. Would have thought they would be better prepard for the opening of the season.
