my husband and I stayed for 5 nights which included 1 night free the food was suburb well presented by the staff who worked very hard to make sure every thing was served quickly and hot The room was clean thanks to the young man who took pride in his job, Entertainment brilliant, Drinks very cheap as everything at the bar was half price, glad we payed a little extra for a sea view cannot wait to come back as for recommending to friends already have If you want the best of Blackpool this hotel has everything. The seafront (south shore).standard of bedrooms, cleaning, food and entertainment is of the highest standard. Alternatively just a 20-30 min walk or tram/bus ride 5-10 mins to centre of town. The hotel is fairly old but kept immacculately clean as with the spacious bedrooms. Food has a good choice and standard for all meals with the waiter/ waitress service offered being extremely friendly and helpful at all times. The night club has, seats booked each night for you, has excellent facilities with an extremely high standard of entertainment, however obviously for a change there are also many other varied entertainment nightspots close at hand for all ages. This is my 6th visit to the hotel over many years but there has been no deteriation of any facilities expected. Hi all,
Just back from the viking,Second time at this hotel last time about two years ago.Must say just as good as last time firstly the food very good allround very good choice ,Hotel kept nice and clean with the added bonus of the club talk of the coast .Which is very good with one of the best compares Buddy Lee very funny man .Staff very friendly especially Dean behind the bar odd one being in the face a bit but hey there's always one.You get a nice mixture of people at this hotel . Good value hotel. Must try sister Hotels in the Lake District this was booked last minute ,booked sea view room which was roomy clean and excellent views ,read a few reports that bathrooms were small which is true but clean and adequate, with good shower.staff were very friendly and helpful, cheery and polite.meals were first class with a choice to please most, dining room excellent .the only thing i can criticise is no tea or coffee with evening meal, but they do provide iced water.you can buy a beverage just outside door.entertainment was excellent on all nights ,the compere buddy rich ,excellent ,and all acts good.room good size and drinks very fairly priced.all in all this is an excellent hotel in all aspects and would thouroughly recommmend Hey Just back home from 5 days at the Viking hotel. It was a brillant holiday, me and my boyfriend had a great stay at the hotel. The staff where really friendly especially Dean. Service at the restaurant was amazingly fast and food was lovely. The hotel is in a great location for the pleasure beach and is close enough to walk to the shops. The night life was good if you like the 70s style go to Flares for a good night out and to Rumours for a dance. I would definitely go back to the Viking hotel as the rooms where lovely and cleaned everyday and there was no children in the hotel which was nice for a change xx Have stayed at the Viking for the last week of illuminations for past three years now. Everything is Magic. Magic food, Magic entertainment, Magic location. It is also a more peaceful and quite hotel as it is adults only and no children annoyingly running around everywhere so you can do everything in peace e.g. having drinks, having meals, watching the entertainment etc. Will always go back for this time of year. Highly recommended for the more mature couple. This Bank holiday (30/05/2005-03/06/2005) we stayed at The Viking Hotel South Shore Blackpool -what a fantastic choice we made! The hotel is spotlessly clean from top to bottom. From the moment you check in to your last day anything you ask for isn't too much trouble . The food, rooms , entertainment, you would be hard pressed not to enjoy this place.Staff are superb, from reception/waitresses/bar staff all requests are met with a smile. The choice of food was terrific, as was the food itself.Entertainment was in the TALK OF THE COAST caberet room, again beautifully kept. The compere BUDDY LEE was brilliant as were all the acts that appeared every night. This hotel is packed most weeks, and now i know why!!We got chatting with other guests and quite a few of them have stayed there a number of times and i think we will be joining them in the very near future. Most definately will go back -just one thing its an adults only hotel , but it has 2 sister hotels which cater for families the 2 hotels are called THE CLIFFS & THE CLAREMONT both these hotels are on the north shore.Highly Recommended!! spent 5 wonderful nights in the viking i have to say it must be 4 yearwe stayed henoticed some small changes since we were here before but nothing to drastic we had a good big clean comfortable room food good but i would liked to have seen a change to the breakfast menu instead of the fare everymorning otherwise we liked everything else including dinner and entairment we will be going back to the viking and we wont wait 4 years this time i read a few of the reviews before i booked but had passed the hotel on many an occasion and we had liked it from the start, the service was very good with pleasant staff on the reception, the room although small was sufficent ( we had no intention of spending the break in a hotel room ) the big thing was the restuarant, such a varied and tasty menu every meal, no for the bar, top marks to the bars supervisor paul, his continual banter made us feel at ease, the evening entertainment was worth the drive from dundee alone. for the money paid i dont think we could have got that standard of service and quality from any 3 star hotel in the spanish costas, we are looking forward to a return visit.. VIKING HOTEL keep up the good work. steve and ann a party of 6 of us went to the viking for valentine's day weekend.had a great time.food was adequate and service was good but the absolute best thing about the viking is the compere.a very funny guy , much funnier than the comedian they had on the friday night.tip to viking, dont bother with comedian, pay the compere double money because he's worth it!rooms were adequately clean , comfy and warm .bathroom in our room a bit basic but hey, this is blackpool, would go back so cant be that bad. Just got back from a Five night stay at the Viking. Yes, as other reports state, it is a little tired in places and could do with a bit of a tidy up, but what value for money. We were quite happy with our room, everything you needed, the bathroom was well equipped with bath/shower and PLENTY of HOT water. The room was warm at all times. The maid service was excellent, she was so pleasant and took pride in her work, it was clean and tidy. We were at the back of the Hotel. The reception staff were very obiliging and helpful, as were all staff. The bar lounge could of done with being heated more, it was quite cool some days, but never the less it was very clean and pleasing. Beer a bit on the expensive side. NOW FOR IT, THE RESTAURANT, well where do I start, the staff here were fantastic, so pleasant and well presented. The meals were brilliant, top marks to the chef/chefs, I could not fault one meal, the presentation was excellent and the choice was remarkable. Every meal was beautifully presented and served piping hot. No sooner had you finished one course then the next course was in front of you. Superb!!!! The cabaret room was great, we had a couple of nights were the entertainers weren't brilliant, but the nights Buddy Lee was on, were superb. He is so funny with good clean fun and laughter, also Carl Schofield was hilarious. All in all an excellent stay and I would certainly recommend this Hotel. My husband have just got back from a Valentines weekend at the Viking . We have had a fantastic time and will return the next time the grandparents offer to babysit !!! On arrivial we were initially very disappointed . Blackpool is a complete dive some would even say rough and I would not want to go out in the evening there too many weirdo's ! The exterior of the hotel is very tired looking and both the reception and corridors to the rooms are really in need of an update . We decided to see the condition of our room before deciciding what to do . The reception staff were very professional and friendly . On arrival in our room it was clean but very old fashioned (later told sea view rooms have been renovated ) so decided to make the most of it (kids at grandparents) . The bathroom was small but clean and again very dated but the shower was hot . We went down for tea and thats when things started to look up . Friendly staff greated us and the food was brilliant . The choice was excellent and very tasty . It was served promptly to the table and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were ok . On valentines night itself all the ladies got a wrapped red carnation and the dining room was decorated with balloons . After tea we had been allocated a table at the front of the enteratainment and what a laugh it was , singers , dancers , comedians have not laughed so much in ages ! Buddy Lee knows how to work the crowd and makes the night . After this there was a DJ who played a great selection of tunes and was happy to play requests . Both nights we danced until gone 2am not bad for 2 30 something parents !!! All in all a fanststic weekend . When you look at it : great food , fantastic entertainment you forget the dayed decor we are definately going back ! Just spent the night with my husband and another couple of friends at the Viking and thought I'd write something positive about this place. We paid just under £35 each for 3 course dinner, bed, breakfast and cabaret. Having stayed the previous weekend at the swanky Radisson Edwardian in Manchester I wasn't expecting much. The hotel itself is a little bit tired in places, but the rooms were clean, warm and very comfortable - and we had a great view, albeit only of Blackpool beach ! The food was tasty with a choice from 5 dishes for each course and the staff were always on the ball. Evening cabaret was great fun. The resident compere is great and the comedian we saw was hilarious. Overall a great cheap value break to catch up with friends and prepare ourselves for the dreaded return to work. My fiance and I returned from a 3 night stay at The Viking yesterday and we wish we had booked for longer! On arrival the reception staff were friendly but some directions to our room would have been helpful as the hotel is a it of a maze (ok once you get used to it though). Our room was spotlessly clean, well equipped, very comfortable and nicely decorated. Unfortunately we didn't have a view at all (just a brick wall) but we hadn't requested a view so I would recommend doing so. Also I would ask not to have room 225 or those surrounding as there is a noisy air conditioning unit outside which you can hear if you have the window open (we had to because it was very hot). It is supposed to be turned off at night but unfortunately for me was forgotten one night and kept me awake. The bathroom was compact but didn't cause us any problems apart from the hot water running out whilst Alan was in the shower one day. Again it was very clean. The restaurant has a lovely sea view and you are allocated a table for the whole of your stay which makes life easier. This means that you have the same waiter and people seated near you so you can get chatting which we thought was nice. Our waiter was very friendly and informative. If you are not interested in talking to your fellow guests the meals are served over a one and a half hour period so you don't all have to eat at the same time. We enjoyed the food and liked the fact that there was a different menu each day which plenty of choice. The sauces were lovely! I think getting breakast and a three course dinner every day for the price we paid was great value for money. We made use of the three bars and found the drinks reasonably priced for a hotel. The bar staff are friendly and the bar downstairs has some tables outside so you can sit in the sun (sometimes!) on the seafront and relax with a drink. We tried out the evening entertainment but didn't reserve a table early enough so sat at the back. If you are planning on going to see the show every evening I would recommend reserving a seat which you retain for the whole of your stay. The entertainment was good fun and the compare Buddy Lee got everyone involved. There were different acts each night (singers and comedians) and the club was always packed out even though nowhere else in Blackpool was very busy. The Sensation dancers have great costumes which the men seem to like! The location of the hotel is good as it is on the seafront near the South Pier and a two minute walk to the beach. Unfotunately the promenade is currently being redone which looks great in the finished areas but like a building site elsewhere. There are tram and bus stops very close to the hotel so it is great for getting out and about for day trips and evenings out. Overall I would definately recommend this hotel as we really enjoyed our stay and are thinking of going back. The fact that it is a child free zone was a plus as we don't have any yet and don't really want to be surrounded by children whilst we are on holiday. The hotel staff and other guests were extremely friendly which made the experience that much better for us. We are both under 40 and there weren't many other guests that were, which surprised us a bit at first but in the end didn't make any differnce to us at all. we had a great time with two of our friends whom agree that this hotel is worth a visit. the food was excellent plenty of choice and served by well mannered staff the rooms were a little small but okay for how long you are actually in the rooms they were clean when we arrived and were cleaned everyday day leaving the room smelling fresh. the entertainment was very good especially the host buddy lee he made us laugh so much he knew how to work the room. the bar prices were very reasonable no dearer than many bars. the receptionist on our arrival was very pleasant and asked us if we would like to book seats for there two excursions and if we wanted to book seats for there talk of the coast shows so i think they must read the feed back left on these sites as others have said they were not informed about booking seats so this is an inprovement. over all we had a great time and would go back again. we just hope next time the trams are working and the tower will be open this was our only downside to our trip. We have just returned from a weekend at this hotel and were pleasently suprised by it! We usually stay in B+B's in Blackpool, but as we were only going for a weekend we thought we would treat ourselves to this hotel. The hotel is located on the seafront, almost overlooking south pier, so conveniently close to the Pleasure Beach and all its attractions. It's an adult only hotel so you don't get any kids running around the place! From the outside, although big, the hotel does look ever so slightly run down (although I think most places in Blackpool have this look about them!). There is a buzzer and intercom for new guests to get into the hotel, and once checked in you get a key fob which you hold over a little panel on the wall and it unlocks the main doors. This is reassuring as not just anyone can wander into the hotel. Once in the hotel, I did think that the reception looked slightly dated in decor, although it was clean and tidy. Reception staff were friendly and check in was quick. The only thing we found is that they don't tell you how to get to your room. We were told our room was on the first floor and to go through the doors 'over there'. Once through the doors 'over there' we were led into a lounge area, with no idea how to get up to the first floor. We had to ask some other guests who showed us which way to go. We felt the reception staff could have been a little more specific in telling us how to get to our room. We were happy with the room we were given. Although small, we had been given our seaview room as booked, there was a chair and stool by the window (perfect for watching the illuminations!), comfy double bed with white bedding, tv, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished daily, a wardrobe and two bedside cabinets. Our ensuite bathroom was nothing more than a cupboard! I couldn't stretch my arms out fully from wall to wall and getting in and out through the door was a manouvere to say the least as the shower was right behind the door and the toilet to the side of it (a good laugh every time one of us wanted to go in the bathroom!). Saying this, the bathroom was clean, had a shower, toilet, basin, plenty of towels, and the usual complimentary toiletries. Overall the bedroom was great for a weekends stay. The hotel has lots of facilities, a few of which we didn't get round to using due to our short stay. It has it's own club called Talk Of The Coast which has shows such as vocalists, comedians, then followed by a disco into the early hours. It also has waiter service direct to your table. Residents of the hotel do not have to pay to get into the club, and can reserve a seat at reception that day. If you are not in your seats by 8.30, they open them up to non residents. We didn't get around to using the club which we were disappointed by as we heard it was a good night. The hotel has it's own cafe bar which we loved! The cafe bar is very modern, stylish and clean. Meals are served which are delicious and great value, and service is very quick. They also serve packed lunches which would be ideal if you had a long journey home or were going out on a trip for the day. The bar stocks a wide selection of drinks and the bar staff are really friendly. The hotel has another bar just off its restaurant. It is quite a cosy bar with a tv (has the feeling of a local pub). Again, the bar stocks a wide selection of drinks and the bar staff are really friendly. This brings me on to their fabulous restaurant. The restaurant overlooks the sea and is a lovely place to have your meal. At your first meal you are assigned a table which you keep for the duration of your stay. The tables are immaculately laid out. Glasses of iced water are served free of charge to your table (there is always someone walking around with a tray of them). Other drinks either need to be purchased from the waiters or you can buy them from the bar before you go into the restaurant. The menu for the evening meal always has loads of choices! Each night there are about 6 or 7 starters to choose from, 4 main meals, and about 6 or 7 desserts. If you don't fancy any of the main meals they have a salad bar. We never used this but saw people bringing food back to their tables and it looked lovely (salad, cold meats, etc). If you choose from the menu, your waiter will take your order, then each course is served to you in minutes. Breakfast is a similar affair, serve yourself orange juice, cereals and fruit, and your waiter will serve tea and coffee to your table. Once you have finished the cold part of breakfast (or if you don't want it), your waiter will then take your order for your cooked breakfast. Again, this was always lovely, sausage, bacon, beans, tomato, eggs as you like them, fried bread, and as much toast as you want. The only downside of the restaurant was the table layout. Tables for two they put in pairs with a small gap in between. If both couples are sitting at their table it feels like you are on a table for four, they are that close. We were lucky as the couple next to us were only in the restaurant the same time as us for one of our meals, but it felt slightly awkward. I noticed some other couples just became friendly with eachother and would chat away as if they had gone out for a meal with eachother, but I find it awkward to do that and it was the only bad thing I had to say about the restaurant. After coming home from the Viking, we realised we had left something in the hotel room. We rang the hotel to explain the situation, within minutes they rang back to say they had found the item, then we paid a small charge over the phone to have it sent back to us. It arrived the next day so we were really happy with this service. Overall this is a great hotel. It's not cheap (roughly £60 per person per night), although it's worth it for what the hotel provides, and the fact you get two delicious meals each day. I would definitely reccomend this hotel! My husband, two friends and I stay for two nights 31st Aug/2nd Sept2007.Hotel exterior didn't look as inviting as picture on the internet, reception was a bit dated too.Room decor was nice rooms were clean, bathroom OK,but grouting on floor tiles was dirty, good shower though.Food good, parking good entertainment verygood,we even went to the Cassino for our Anniversary meal(Ruby Wedding)and found that the Viking Hotel entertainment was better than the one they had on,someone singing Robbie Williams songs.Overall for a two star Hotel it was very good.Though I think the lights were good Blackpool will be nice when it's finished, and with a coat of paint to every building along the South Promenade. We stayed two nights midweek at the Viking and really enjoyed it, the bedrooms are nicely decorated and clean. The food is very good with breakfast being served from 0830 - 1000 and evening meal 1800 - 1930 plus plenty of choice. The hotel does have a car park and we had no problem in finding a space. Overall compaired to other hotels in Blackpool this one is very good value for money. My wife and I have stayed at the Viking Hotel several times in the last few years and found it good value for money. We have learned that in holiday accommodation you usually get what you pay for. Pay cheap you get cheap but you can still find bargains and I think The Viking is one. The rooms are in general clean and have all you would expect in the way of furniture, television, shower, etc. The staff were helpful and the dining room clean. There is a good choice of well prepared food which was served pleasantly by smart waiters. In the evenings entertainment depends on the day of the week (nothing on Sundays) and time of year but it was always very good. On Wednesdays there is usually a talent show for hopefuls of all ages and we have found this a great evenings entertainment. One thing to mention is that the hotel is adults only. Not that the shows are in any way risqué it’s just that the they are shown in a night club type atmosphere which would be spoiled by children running around. Anyway I think it’s nice to get away from the little ankle-biters from time to time, especially if the rug-rats aren’t yours. All-round I think The Viking is a good value hotel. P.S Also the bar prices are not too steep. we stayed for a week during the season and were pleasantly suprised at how professional the restaurant staff, and particularly the night porters were.led by Peter. the receptionists were the only area that let the hotel down, but only because they were very slow.they still worked with a smile on their faces. The entertainment was superb, the compare Buddy lee, and in particular Nicky Newsome were both brilliant, as were all the artists. the food was more than average, the room was not great but was clean and tidy. and generally the hotel was very clean. I would .have no problem recommending this hotel to antone who is looking for a good hotel whilst staying in Blackpool From tripadvisor member, Scarborough. Over 65s. We booked into the Viking Hotel especially to see our grandson appear in "Star Trail 2006". We had no pre-conceived ideas of the Hotel or of Blackpool. Upon arrival it was pleasing to see that the reception was very welcoming, it was buzzing with people and the receptionist was very friendly. We had booked rooms overlooking the sea which, although small, were very clean and the beds comfortable. Our evening meal and breakfast were excellent and plentiful, with a varied menu. The staff coped very well with a full dining room. We were amazed by the professionalism of the evening shows and enjoyed every minute of them.Blackpool itself appeared much better than we remembered from our honeymoon 45 years ago. Our only disappointment is that our grandson was not placed in Star Trail and unfortunately we will not have an excuse to return. Just had the pleasure of seeing one of the funniest men in the country-Buddy Lee-he was so funny,he had me crying!!! we did'nt stay at the viking,we only went to the show.It cost us £2 each as non residents, and believe me it's worth ten times the amount.Forget the banging clubs ,go see the real entertainers. My partner and I stayed two nights at the Viking recently (Fri to Sun) and overall had a good experience. Aesthetically the hotel from the outside is nothing to look at and on entering through the main door leading to reception I thought they could do with sprucing it up a bit (flowers etc) and giving it a thourough hoover more frequently. We had booked a double sea view room which was much smaller than I had hoped for. My partner kept banging his head on the portable tv which was fixed on the wall near the bed every time he walked by! The en suite bathroom was also rather small and kinda dated looking but at least it was clean throughout. The large dining area was very nice - as was the bars and the food was absolutely delicous. Everything I ate was perfect and the waiting staff were very nice and service was immediate. The entertainment area was nice and we enjoyed a good cabaret with comedians, a singer and two girl dancers. It was pretty much what you would get in working mens clubs up and down the country but very enjoyable. All in all we had a nice stay and we would return again. I guess if I'm honest I went hoping to get a hotel suitable for a 'honeymoon' experience which wasn't delivered but if your looking for the typical 'Blackpool' experience then this is for you. stayed at the Viking in September this year .hotel was average, but food and evening entertainmemt was superb.rooms on the small side .the bathroom was tiny, hardly any room to move!Although a single traveller I stayed in a double room and paid for two persons!I did not mind this but had asked for a sea view and h ad to pay double the supp.for that!! The service was excellent especially in the dining room and I have already booked for next year. Please do something about the bathrooms..that was the only real problem.

I worked there for a short time and during the time also found the manageress to be very arragant and useless and could of done her job better to be honest, she could'nt handle her job so had to get the big boss from cliffs to sack me after doing a full days cleaning on a departure day in which i did to a very high standard. also make sure you wash your cups yourself too as I got help once and found someone to be cleaning the cups out with the cloth i used on the floor in the toilets ( i immediatelty washed them myself again and told the worker how disgusting it was) there are also a lot of complaints of the locks on the doors been opened with credit cards as they are the old yale type locks and things been stolen, make sure you use the safes if staying there.... i loved working there and the housekeeping staff are brilliant apart from that, i also introduced a new system whilst i was there of colour coding cloths for different places in the rooms so hopefully things wiill of improved since, but still got the sack. sum of the rooms are nice and others not. i cleaned poo from around the toilet on the floor that had probably been there for quite sum time, so once again clean your cups yourself even if they have been cleaned just in case as there was a few people poorly at the short time i was there. I appealed against my sacking but didnt even hear back from them so thought i'd let u know the truth, the place also looks like its gonna fall down soon. dont say i didnt warn ya Just finished a week - end break, that is about all I could stay here, we were revisiting from about 10 years ago, and it has never changed. It needs a complete re vamp now!!! It looks just the same, a dismal entrance and frontage. The room was as bad so small, the shower was too small to get in and the toilet was in their as well, with the handwash basin in the room! Room 108 the view was a wall and down on to the Hotel bin storage area, all the rubbish just left on the ground and thrown a round. THE GOOD BITS Friendly staff especially the man on reception, the dineing room waiter as well. The food was very good and a good choice to choose from and served warm and quickly. The entertainment was very good although it was the same compare from before and the comedianne, (how long have they been there) But a good laugh from them both and clean fun, did we need to claim seats so soon, bit bored waiting till they started, should do bingo or a quiz. Value for money. haveing just spent a weekend at the viking hotel i returned back this year as id been before, there is a few points i need to mentioned the food was not upto standard and the entertainment wasnt as good as last year, the comper buddly lee is made for the hotel, the bar area in the lounge should stay open later instead of closing at 5 oclock and the hotel could do with a few table and chairs outside for people to sit and enjoy a drink and snax outside, also your broucher states no all same sex allowed but there was at least for seperate groups there while we were, the bar area could do with a complete refurb and decoration,i will not be returning to this hotel again in the near future,we addroom no 212 which was cleaned everyday We stayed for 1 night only & had it been a longer stay then I wouldn't have been happy.I booked this at half price via booking.com yet they tried to charge the full amount until I showed the computer printout.I would not have paid the full price of £98 for one nights dbb for 2 at this hotel. The room was tiny with only a 3 quarter size bed. The bath was not a full size either.I'm only 5ft 5 yet I couldn't stretch out. The grout on the bathroom floor was black with dirt & there were cobwebs on the ceiling in the bedroom. Dinner was edible but not as described.Turkey turned out to be pork,a chipolata sausage was half of a jumbo sausage & the beef in red wine looked more like tinned stewed steak. There were wine glasses on the table which were taken off when dinner was brought???? and a glass of iced water replaced them???? Your table at the club is reserved for you when you check in but when we got to our table our view of the stage was ovscured by a large pillar. The entertainment consisted of "Coast Idol" A talent contest.....a whole 4 acts entered & that was it.I'd read about Buddy Lee & expected him to be brilliant but instead found him dull & boring & like he was trying to fill time. The website says after the show you can dance along to the DJ.It's more like a recording of music playing in the background.Entrance to the nightclub is advertised as "free for guests" on the website....... it's free entrance to anyone anyway except on a Saturday. That must be when there's something worthwhile going on in the place. All in all,if its just a place to rest yor head after a night out then you'll be fine but if that all you need then a nice B&B would be cheaper. Just returned from 3 nightsat the Viking, (Choice hotels) you must be joking. We arrived on Friday afternoon to a rather dingy and dirty reception, we made our way to our room, first thing we noticed was there was no shower, the floor in the bathroom needs the grout cleaning. We asked for a different room with a shower they said they didn't have one. We went to Blackpool for the North West Area Brass Band Contest, and I had made arrangements for my husband to practice on the Saturday lunch time for about 20 mins 1/2 an hour they said he could use the cabaret club downstairs, when we asked at reception on the Saturday they denied all knowlege of the phone conversation saying they knew nothing about the arrangements, the Manageress we spoke to was very arrogant and was basically saying that she didn't believe that I had made the arrangements. Several reviews I read said the food was very good, we didn't enjoy breakfast (small portions) the evening meals were o.k. but nothing to write home about. The dining room was more like a works canteen, not a bit intimate everything was rushed it was as quick as they could get you out. Not impressed at all for the price we paid. this hotel is the worst i have stayed in the food is gross they kept saying watch the warm plates and the food was luke warm the staff where fine the entertainment was the worst i have ever experienced and the compere was not funny the bingo was more expensive than the real bingo all in all would not go here if i got a free holiday what a dump I had the misfortune to stay at this hotel last week. Notable lowlights included the slowest possible checkin (>10 mins - what could be more complicated?!). During checkin I advised the receptionist I would only be staying one night "No problem". So I paid my bill in advance for that one night. A few days later I see I have been charged for the nights I did not stay at the hotel as well. This was not a one-off mistake - my colleagues suffered a similar rip-off. Is this criminal or just unethical? Dinner is served until 7.30 (we arrived at 7.30 so already too late) and breakfast starts at 8.30. So not much use for a full business day then ;-( Did I mention you can't check out before 8.30AM either? We tried to get the details of the manager to complain only to be met with rude and aggressive telephone staff. Avoid this place if you can, tell all your friends to do the same, we will
