Lotte Hotel Busan

I have stayed her a lot's of times. It have all you need for business or pleasure. Bed's are a bit hard.

Short distance to the airport (about 20 minutes drive before the traffic starts in the morning).

Nice italian restaurant at the top of the hotel. Also there are TGI Fridays and Pizza hut on 10 floor at Lotte department store next to the hotel.

There are also department stores if you go the the 1st floor of the hotel and head to the subway.

Stayed at this hotel for a few times now. This time is my third for business and I am slowing finding out more about this hotel. I agree with most of the reviews in that this hotel offers all the basic requirements for the room such as shower Gel, Bath Gel and even goes a little further with more uncommon items such as sewing kits in the desk drawers. Other items such as toothpaste and toothbrush come extra at about 4000 won.

Breakfast is now served at the basement in the the La Seine. Selection is quite widespread to suite most tastes. There is no view of the Tiger any more (at the first floor cafe) so I do not know if it is still there.

The first day I was here I decided to go down to use the Gym. I signed a form and walked in with my own exercise clothes. I was not charged for the usage. I was surprised that on the second day, while I was signing in, I was informed that it would cost 50,000 won for the gym use. Only the pool was free I was told. Gym clothes are available however for those without it. The gym as a variety of equipment but they were a little old. The cross-trainer that I was on started to give out a loud noise after the first 5 minutes of use.

Also when I booked in, I asked for a room including breakfast. I was told that my booking did not include breakfast and a change was not possible. Upoun check out, I asked that my breakfast charge be combined with my room charge as a single line item but apparenltly their computer system does not allow them to do this. This might be so good for people on business and need to make their hotel claims.

I first stayed at this hotel in July 2006 and you can find my review of it then further down these lists. I loved it then and it has lost none of its appeal since then. Once again I had a room on the 29th floor and everything was much the same as on my previous visit. All the usual amenities and toiletries are provided, the room was spotlessly clean and I have no complaints. Breakfast was better than I remembered it but is still expensive. No other meals were taken in the hotel. The tiger is stil in the garden behind the coffee house although I didn't see it this time.

There are 2 so called pubs in the hotel however the prices are huge. I would suggest you walk out the front entrance and turn to the right along past the department store entrance. At the first junction turn to the right and walk down the side of the block to the street that runs along the rear of the hotel and department store. Here in the evenings you will find many small 'hawkerstall' places selling snacks and beer. Right on the corner is one that is a bar only stall called 'Curi Bar'. It's only small with 8 bar stools but a great place to meet some of the locals and to have a drink at sensible prices.

I can easilly recommend staying at the Lotte Hotel and will continue to use it for my business trips in the future.

Pusan is a smaller city and I don't think there are much better options. It is within 5 minutes walk to the central subway station and access to numerous restaurants outside the hotel. Their restaurant is pleasant if you sitting next to their huge indoor garden.

I stayed at Lotte Hotel Busan for 2 days while I was visiting family in September 2006. The hotel is located in a very busy area of Busan. It is huge, expansive, and has a huge Lotte department store attached to the hotel. As soon as you walk in, you have a great view of a rainforest like setting in the hotel restaurant.

Like Lotte Hotel Seoul, the hotel is mainly filled with business people and foreigners. At the time I was visiting, there was a Bowling Championship and the hotel was swarming with foreigners attending this event.

The rooms itself seems old and worned down, but I've noticed that in all of the Lotte Hotels I've stayed in (Busan, Seoul, Jeju), the staff does try their best to keep the rooms tidy and clean. The rooms were bigger in the Busan location than the Seoul location. The furniture was also newer than the

There are no double beds, it is 2 single beds which means it is fit for 2 people that do not want to share a bed. I had 3 people occupying our room so they were able to bring in a cot, but that's an extra charge of $30-40USD/night. This price wasn't too bad considering we booked the hotel in the USA for under $150/night.

Like the other Lotte hotels, everything has a price. Expect to pay a ton to use the gym, the pool or any of the hotel's amenities. I found the Lotte department store to be very expensive and the duty free shops were no better.

Eating breakfast is difficult in Busan, since it is a Western "tradition". I couldn't find any place within walking distance that served Western breakfast (ie, eggs/bacon). So, I ate breakfast buffet in one of the hotel restaurants - very expensive, approx $25-30/USD. The breakfast was not very good. They also have a live tiger that they house behind a thick, glass window in the restaurant. Beautiful creature, but I couldn't help but to feel so terrible for the animal b/c it was clearly fat and overweight from not being able to live outside of this very confined space.

Outside of the hotel were many bars, restaurants, internet cafes, little shops and "pochangmachas" - those orange tents/eaters set-up on the street where people can drink and eat. Busan is really nothing like Seoul - it is a bit grittier, dirtier and less flashy. I held off on souvenir shopping until I got to Seoul. However, if you will only be in Busan, you can find plenty of shops in the vicinity of the hotel.

Overall, I only come into Busan b/c I have family in the area. Otherwise, I would forego coming into Busan purely for vacation/pleasure purposes. If you do have to come to Busan for obligations like work/family, then Lotte Busan is an adequate choice, as long as you can book the hotel for a decent price (under $150/USD). Otherwise, it is a rip-off for the rack rate they offer. Expect a worn-down room, though clean. Do not eat in the hotel if you can help it, there are plenty of eateries right outside of the hotel, except for breakfast.

Bear in mind that in Korea and especially in the "smaler" cities like Pusan there is not a great deal of choice when it comes to hotels. The Lotte Pusan is the only major hotel actually inside the city. The Marriott is not really only 20 mins out, as the traffic is so appalling at all times of day or night that it could literally take hours.

Anyway, Hotel Lotte Pusan:

PROS:

- Fairly new (built 98'), in spite of that already looking a bit tattered but stil not bad.

- Rooms and bathrooms are large, in spite of what other reports may say (I am European though, not American, and so probably have lower standards/expectations).

- Central location

- Good discounts available

- Great views of the city from the higher floors (43 in all)

CONS:

- The many many resteraunts that the hotel is so proud of are not really available for foreigners. We visited all EIGHT and were quite literally thrown out, despite being smartly dressed, quietand polite. There were many empty tables at each place, but we were told every time that the resterunt was full, would be full all night, would be full the whole of the next day and the day after that and the day after that. By the time we were thrown out with shouts from the 3rd resteraunt we picked upon the pattern, there was not one single foreigner eating in any one of them, only Koreans. After complaining loudly to the duty manager we were given a table at the cafe, where luckily we were served by a charming young waiter who was the only pleasant member of staff we had come across. A few other bemused looking foreigners were in there too, looking lost and confused.

- Room service food is quick, but pretty poor quality.

- Too few signs aroun this huge hotel in English, verey easy to get lost.

初めての釜山で2泊しました。百貨店と免税店が隣接しており地下に下りれば広い地下街にで、そのまま地下鉄にも乗れてとても便利。周囲には飲食店や屋台もあり、朝食にアワビ粥も可能。

また泊まりたいです。

まずは、便利＆綺麗＆豪華です。

格安旅行で行ったにもかかわらず

ロッテホテルの高層階でした。

お部屋はたっぷりの床面積で広々して綺麗

そして、窓から眺める釜山の町並みが感動的でした。

朝食はホテルで取りましたが

朝ごはんを食べながらふと横を見ると、ガラス越しに

トラが！トラ・虎・とら～～～！！！！！

びっくりしました。

客層もとても上品で、満足できるホテルでしたよ。

先日、また宿泊してきました。

綺麗さ清潔さサービス、立地言うことないと思います。

日本語も普通に通用しますしね。

何より免税店とロッテデパートが併設してる点は熱い！！

高級感も感じれれば1歩出れば庶民的な所も見れる！これはここでしか味わえないと思います。

ただ、日本人が多くあまり異国に来た感じがしないかもです。安心感はありますが。。。

時期にもよるのかな？？

ソウルのロッテに泊まったことがあり、とても快適だったのでプサンでもロッテにしました。

ロッテプサンとソウルのプサンとで違ったところは、部屋がカードキーじゃなかったところなどぐらいでほとんど変わりなくやはりとても快適に過ごせました。ホテルにはロッテ百貨店が隣接し、バーゲンセールでにぎわっていました。また、ホテル内にはロッテ免税店、カジノがありいつでも利用できてとても便利です。

カジノは思ったよりは少し狭いかな～という印象でしたが、初心者でも気軽に利用できるみたいですし、割りとみんなラフな格好で利用してました。パスポート提示が必須ですが、実際に賭けなくてもカジノを見に行くだけでも価値ありです！

ロッテ免税店にはプサンのロッテ免税店にしか置いていないロッテのキャラクターになっている韓流スターの人たちの手形などが置いてあり、ちょっと得した気分！

ホテル地下から地下鉄の駅までもつながっており、寒い冬でも外に出ることなく電車に乗れます。地下鉄に行くまでの地下街もたくさん有名なお店が入っていて買い物も出来ます。

クリスピークリームドーナツにはたくさんの人が並んでいました。ホテルに持ち帰って食べるのにもちょうどイイですよ！

ロッテプサンは西面というところに在り、ホテル周辺はとてもにぎやかな繁華街で買い物も食事もできるところがたくさんあります。マッサージ屋もたくさんあります。また、プサンの観光地の海雲台とチャガルチ市場などがある南浦洞のちょうど間にあるので、どちらに行くにも交通の便がよくとても動きやすかったです。

もちろん、ホテルの設備はとても充実し、清潔で豪華、従業員の対応はとてもよく言うことなしです！

いつもはビートルで行く釜山旅行。今回は飛行機で行きました。

福岡～釜山はたったの45分のフライトです。ＣＡの方たちは、豆乳ＯＲオレンジジュースと言いながら大急ぎで飲み物を配っていました。

空港に着くと、とても日本語の上手なガイドさんが私達を歓迎してくれました。お昼ごはんは、ロッテデパートのオムライス屋に入り、それぞれサイドメニューがついているオムライスを注文しました。運ばれてきて、一口食べてびっくり！何とゴハンがキムチチャーハンではないですか！それも、辛いもの好きな私にとっても、汗が出るくらいの辛さ。日本人の子供には到底無理だと思われるこの辛さを、韓国人の子供達は美味しそうに食べているではありませんか！とにかくびっくり。

さて、そろそろ本題に入ります。

ホテルは、デラックスルームで広々としてゆっくり出来ました。

やはり、お気に入りは虎ちゃんを眺めながらのお茶です。

今回は、虎ちゃんが元気に歩き回り、ガラスのそばまで来てくれました。

一つ残念だったのは、いつもはエレベーターホールに綺麗なチマチョゴリを着たお姉さんがいるのに今回はいなかったこと。

韓国も不景気なせいでしょうか？

とにかく楽しいロッテホテルでの一泊旅行でした。

ソウルに行った時にロッテＨに泊まってすごく良かったので、

釜山には２回行きましたが２回ともロッテＨに泊まりました。

やはり綺麗なのが一番の理由と、街中なので買い物も食事

も出来るのがいいです。

ホテルの近くには屋台も出ているので楽しいですよ。

免税店と百貨店も隣接しているのでとても便利です。

あと百貨店の地下のキムチ売り場はサービスもしてくれるし、

臭いがもれないようにサランラップでグルグル巻きにしてくれ

るので持ち帰りも心配いりません。

カジノもホテル内で体験出来てとても楽しく過ごせました。

ツインに泊まりました。ピンクとベージュを基調にした部屋で、あたたかくやさしい印象でした。

朝食のビュッフェのメニューも豊富です。

唯一不満に思ったのが、チェックアウト前に隣接する免税店に行った時のことです。部屋の荷物をまだまとめてなく、外出中にホテルスタッフに入室されるのがイヤでした。チェックアウト日だったので部屋の清掃は出発後にするだろうと思いましたが、念のためDon't Distubの表示を出していきました。にもかかわらず、部屋に戻ると清掃が完了していました。荷物は何も触られてはいませんでしたが、何のためのDon't Distubなのかと思いました。

それ以外は満足でした。

立地が良く、ソウルのロッテと同じく地下鉄に乗るのも、買い物もとても便利です。

ホテルの裏側へ行くと市場などがあり、下町の風情があります。

ホテルの前からへウンデ行きの無料マイクロバスが出ていて、パラダイス免税店・パラダイスホテルに行けます。へウンデは一面に海が広がり、とてもキレイなところです。

室内はゆったりとしており、きれいでした。時間にもよりますが、1階のエレベーター前で美しいチマチョゴリをまとった、モデルのような方が笑顔で出迎えてくれます。

日本から１泊２日のツアーで利用しました。ホテルの中に２４時間営業のカジノがあるのでこのホテルに決めました。ホテルは駅のすぐ近くですし、ホテルからでてちょっと歩くだけで、飲食店もたくさんありますので、すごく便利でした。私はガイドに紹介されたホテル裏にある焼肉屋で夕食を食べましたが、値段の割にボリュームがありました。また、ホテル内に２つのバーがありましたが、日曜日だったので１つの方は休みで、スポーツバーっぽい方を利用しました。備え付けのスクリーンでは、北京オリンピックでの韓国野球チームの試合が流れていました。ホテルの部屋などはさすが一流ホテルと感じさせる感じでした。

ウォン安を実際に体感するため、友人と1泊旅行に。滞在時間は24時間だったので、立地優先でこのホテルを選びました。四面のど真ん中にあります。デパートも免税店も、私はしませんでしたがカジノも同敷地にあり、本当に便利です。フロントも簡単な英語、もしくは日本語で問題ないです。設備は最新ではないので若干古さを感じるかもしれませんが、ホテル滞在はほとんどなかったので、気になりませんでした。空港からも普通のタクシーで高速代込みで15000W程度(少し混んでたので高かったかも!?)またプサンに行く際には泊まると思います。

１泊２日での女友達との旅行。海雲台でリゾートするか、西面でシティを楽しむかで後者を選び、ここへ。西面でそれなりのところといったらもうココしかない。

地下鉄西面駅から地下道でつながっている。タクシーも、ベルが模範をすぐ呼んでくれる。

周りは飲食店、カフェなどなんでもあり。屋台も出てる。

フロントは完全に日本語OK。お部屋もゆったりとした雰囲気。ベッドはちょっとやわらかめかな？また大通りに面した高層階だったため、プサンの街を一望できた。

ただ明らかに、オネエサンを連れた日本人のオッサン２組と遭遇し、ゲンナリ。

韓国のホテルはどこでもそうだが、歯ブラシがない。要注意。

とても大きなホテルで、免税店も併設されています。

ショーも見れる劇場もあって、１つの複合施設だとおもいます。

（カジノもあります）

そうそうロッテデパートも隣で、買い物も不自由しません。

部屋も綺麗で広々としています。

ただ日本人が多いせいか、何でもが高いイメージが・・。

でも地下鉄駅とも直結していますし、お勧めホテルです。

初めて釜山ロッテに泊りました。前年にソウルのロッテ本館に泊り、客室がすごく狭かったのが印象的でしたが、釜山の方は客室も広く高層階からの景色も良かったです。ホテル内にはカジノや免税店もあり、地下には地下鉄も２本通っていて非常に便利なホテルです。朝食時にトラも見ることができました。

　友人２人と２泊しました。

広めの部屋にツイン+エキストラベットのタイプでしたが、荷物を広げても十分広い部屋でした。

　ツアーで行ったので、ホテルの料金は分かりませんが充分満足できるホテルでした。ほとんど出かけていたので、ゆっくりはできませんでしたが、今度行く機会があればのんびりホテルで過ごしてみたいです。

ソウルは何度も行ったけれど

プサンは初めての旅行、しかも高級ホテルロッテ宿泊とあって

とても楽しみにしていました。

ソウルのロッテと比べると

少し華やかさに欠けるけれど

それでも部屋の中も綺麗だし水回りも問題ないし

サービスもよく満足していました。

が、

ここのホテル、1階のコーヒーショップで

トラが（本物ですよ！）見られるというのが

ひとつウリでもあって

トラ、見るの友達とすご～く楽しみにしてました。

で、当然行った日に

まず、そこのコーヒーショップ行ってみたんです。

そしたら、

「トラは今いません。疲れて休んでます。」

「いつなら見られますか？」

「夜ならいます。」

そして夜。

行ってみましたよ、ふたたび

「トラはもう、寝ました。朝ならいます。」

そして三たび

朝、前日歩きまわって疲れてましたが

早起きして行きました！

とらを見ながら朝食食べられる

ってパンフにも書いてあったし

「とらはいません。まだ寝ています。」

う～ん・・・

トラは本当にここのコーヒーショップにいるのでしょうか？

とにかく、あきらめました。

人が多いけど、免税店、となりはデパート、裏は食堂街、

地下街も地下鉄駅もすぐ近くと便利でした。

大賢地下街に格安コスメがかたまっているのですが、

徒歩10分程度だった気が。

ロッテデパートの地下入り口おりたところにきれいな地下街

があるのですが、普通のコスメ店やイニスフリーなんかも

ありましたよ。意外と女性にお勧めだと思います。

　釜山には二度行ったことがあり、二度ともロッテを利用しました。一度目は実家の両親と私と当時小学生だった子供とで訪れました。私と母は免税店で買い物三昧、子供は隣接のロッテワールドの遊園地で遊び、みんなでプールも入りました。年寄りも子供もあらゆる年齢層を満足させるホテルだと思いました。荷物を抱えての移動は年寄りや子供には苦痛です。その点このホテルは一か所ですべての要求に答えてくれます。鉄板焼きのレストランも韓国料理のレストランもホテルの中で済ますことができおいしかったです。

　二度目は特典航空券を利用し、ひとりで泊まりました。セキュリテイもしっかりしていて、安心して泊まれます。一度目からは8年が過ぎていましたが、まだまだ新しくてきれいでした。前よりも洗練されていたような気がしました。やはり免税店がホテルの中から行けるのは便利です。ロッテ百貨店も隣です。地下鉄とも直結し、立地もとても良いと思います。

特にご家族での旅行にお勧めします。

ロッテホテル、某テレビで紹介されたエステを楽しみに予約したのですが

残念ながら改装中？で他の場所でのエステとなりました。

コンシェルジュに紹介を頂いたお店、日本語で丁寧に教えてくれましたがやっぱり残念でした。

前回利用したときから改装があったのか、ロビーも非常にきれいでさすがと言う感じでした。

なぜかパンが非常に美味しく滞在中何度も買いに走りました。

もちろん韓国料理も美味しかったのですが。

食事は朝だけホテルで後は釜山の町でとりました。

大変立地もよく便利でしたよ

部屋もきれいでした。

韓国最大の港湾都市・釜山（プサン）は、空港やフェリーターミナル、高速鉄道ＫＴⅩが乗り入れる交通の要所で、市内のホテルは西面と南浦洞の市街中心部、東莱温泉を中心した北部、海雲台ビーチと広安里ビーチがある東部に集中していますが、その釜山のショッピングの中心地、西面（ソミョン）にあるのがこの“釜山ロッテホテル”です。釜山港や釜山駅、海雲台ビーチのほか、もうひとつの繁華街である南浦洞（ナンポドン）地区にも、タクシーや地下鉄を利用すれば便利に移動でき、釜山観光の拠点に優れた場所にあります。

釜山地区で最大規模を誇り、プールやフィットネスセンター、ジム、サウナなど施設が充実していました。スーペリアルームに宿泊しましたが、部屋から釜山市内の眺望は格別でした。ホテル内のレストランは、韓国料理、イタリア料理、日本料理、ビュッフェなどがあり、また１階コーヒーショップ“ペニンシュラ”には、なんと“トラ”がいました。世界広しと言えども、トラを眺めながらのコーヒーはこのホテルでしか体験できないと思いますよ。

The hotel is very well located; Seomyeon is the center of Busan and the hotel is in the heart of Seomyeon. There is an excellent Italian restaurant on the top floor with a breathtaking view. I was generally happy with the experience and did not consider the hotel overpriced. My family and I were horrified, however, to see a live white lion trapped in a tiny display enclosure adjoining the breakfast restaurant. The poor beast was clearly going out of its mind from boredom and loneliness. We met the eyes of another table of European guests and they shook their heads back at us, as depressed and horrified as we were. Breakfast is part of the hotel experience and I don't like to eat with an abused animal in front of me. We will definitely be staying at the Marriott in Haeundae next time, or the Sheraton.

I chose Lotte instead of the hotels along the beach because of its location, and I still believed the choice made sense given that I did not have a lot of extra time to spare commuting.

The other comments on this forum are generally my feelings too. Facilities / restaurants are pricey, but there are many choices of food steps away from the hotel.

One thing came as a surprise to me - the bed linen was so coarse I found it irritating. They changed the linen on the second day but that was just the same.

If you have to stay there, my advise is to bring long PJs!!!

I have been traveling to South Korea for over 10 years now, and have probably made around 20 trips or so both to Seoul and Busan.

The Lotte is a Korean owned hotel, which can have it's downsides if you are a foreigner, as Koreans like to keep things, well, Korean. Like other reviews say, the lobby and entrance is beautiful but once you get into a room that changes. The rooms don't match the rest of the hotel as they are a bit old and stale feeling.

Another thing to note is if you are traveling on business (I don't see why you would go there for a vacation) then have your Korean business colleague book the room for you under a group or business rate, regardless if you plan on coming back. I stay there for around 140,000 won per night. I've been in the elevator and overheard people saying they are spending 350,000 won per night. That's downright ridiculous.

They have wireless internet which works OK, but the connection speed is always changing (some rooms have a computer in them). A little tech support help: If you have an Apple, call the front desk and they will send someone up to write down your Airport ID #, and then you are able to access it 24/7, without signing in or anything. Very nice.

If you are going to go there often then sign up for the Lotte Privileges program asap. They don't really advertise it anywhere, and when you finally do discover it, they won't retro your missing points. It gives you points to spend in the Duty Free store, where you can get high end products like watches, Louis Vuitton stuff, etc.

The restaurants are OK, but nothing too fabulous. They put a Korean twist on everything, which is fine though (since you are in Korea). If you want to eat in the nice restaurants (the top floor), then I suggest making a reservation by going up there. Calling it in may not work too well. The breakfast buffet is not all that great, and is way overpriced at 24,000 won or something like that. And yes, there is a tiger that is outside the one-way windows (the tiger cannot see you, unless you are wearing all white clothes - or wave your napkin at him to get his attention).

There are many shops and restaurants right next to the hotel, and Korea has a pretty friendly atmosphere when you are outside in the hustle and bustle of the busy street scene. The subway is right next to the hotel, and is pretty easy to use. Taxi's are everywhere, but you never know what to expect traffic wise.

The other hotel options are in Haundae Beach, but that's a bit further from most businesses. The other reviews here say it's about 20 minutes out, but that seems a bit optimistic. To be safe, plan on it taking 45 minutes by taxi (unless it's 2am or something). If you don't mind the extra time in a taxi or on the subway, Haundae is nicer. There is a Marriot and a Westin, located right on the beach.

Arrived into Busan and we had been booked into the Lotte Hotel by a Korean Business associate. It didnt look too bad from the outside at night....

Good things about this hotel:

It's surrounded by shops

It has it's own mall attached to the Hotel

It has a good business centre

It has Oprah Winfrey on the Television all the time!

You can't get lost when u leave hotel, as you can see the hotel from quite a way-a-way

It has a travel agent in Hotel ( who was really helpful)

Hair salon:hairstylists kept saying I was Anna Kournikova..lovely people :-)

Bad things about this hotel:

It's pretty old and dated

It's breakfast is disgusting and oh-so expensive

Plenty of hookers hanging around (might be a good thing for some sicko people)

Food / room service: generally a big no no (worst burger ever)

The bathroom is so tiny winy

You could get lost in the hotel by just walking around in it

I was left to my own devices,as my boyfriend had a lot of business to do...Lotte was ok but I think I would have preffered to stay at The Marriot, or Westin Chosun in Haeundae beach area. (Although its 20 mins out of the way)
