Island Suites

This place is not a bad deal for the money. The staff is always pleasant and the rooms are clean. I like the mini kitchette.

Our stay at the Island Suites in Lake Havasu was quite disappointing. Although the place was very clean the fridge would hardly hold anything and was so frosted up that we could hardly close the door. There were no utensils or coffeemaker.

Our main complaint was the curious way they tabulated the taxes on our bill. It was done in such a way that we estimated a discrepancy of at least $15 to $20. When asked to explain they just said that is the way it was done.

We were referred to this hotel by someone who had spent a weekend here. They said the price was good and there was a free launch and slip. First, the motel was strange and difficult to deal with. Then there was a problem with the container of dishes given to us. The towels were rough. Then the "FREE LAUNCH and SLIP" were anything but that. The Beachcomber has a horrible and unsafe launch and we trusted them and put our boat in a slip, and 2 nights later it was STOLEN!!!!!!!!!!! Island Suites was NO HELP. They said "sorry" and gave us a BIT of a discount, but still charged us for the full time we were there... SEARCHING for our BOAT. At this time it has not been found. The boat was 19 years old and a part of our family. It is unreplaceable, and Island Resorts and Beachcomber RV and Marina could have cared less. THEN we found out from checking around town that this had happened 2 nights before us to another boat. They never notified us of this so we could take proper actions. PLEASE do not leave YOUR boats there. It is NOT safe or secure. We would NEVER go there again.
