Do not stay downstairs at this place after or during a rain, we were bombarded by bugs 50 or 60 of them. After they moved us up stairs the room was great "spotless".

4 of 5  Love the walk to the bridge and Starbucks, A TripAdvisor Member, Saskatoon,SK., October 1, 2008

This hotel was very effordable, compared to others in the area.Wi-fi was a nice bonus, coffee and cereal till 1100.The path to downtown behind the hotel that goes along the camping sites and lake is excellent if your a jogger or just out for a walk.We stay in the winter and find it very relaxing and quite.Older decor but clean and they are updateing the rooms 1 at a time and adding kitchenetts with hot plates.

4 of 5  Great value for money, A TripAdvisor Member, London, United Kingdom, August 12, 2004

Great value for money. We were here for just a night in July and found the place to be very good value for money. The room was clean, well equipped and the staff pleasant, we did not go into the pool but others were using it so I can only assume that that was also ok. The only downside is that it was more like a mile and a bit then the advertised half mile to London bridge, however we could find nothing else wrong. Would definitely stay again.

2 of 5  Bearable, but could do a lot better, A TripAdvisor Member, Chandler, May 20, 2007

Stayed overnight in the Hotel, during May.

Pros:

1) Good attitude from the staff, and rapid checkin/ check out.2

2) Good lighting of the parking spaces.

3) Generally the room looked OK.

4) Good mini-fridge, microwave, & TV.

5) Location is towards the lake, so one can see it during the day.

6) Pool (spa) is open at all hours.

Cons:

Uppon trying to operate the equipmnt:

1) The air-conditioner was old and not in good condition (a lot of

noise, and slightly broken).

2) The lams were nice, but their switched faulty (apparently

someone forgot to screw the switches on nd lock. As a result

you could turn the lamps on, but only by chnace would they

turn back off, since the whole aparatus would turn inside the

lamp instead).

3) Closer inspection of the towes revealed strands of hair, and at

time suspicious blotchs.

4) The air-vac in the bathroom was noisy, and thought to break

any minute.

5) Shower aparatus faulty, and would come off in your hand, had

you tried to get some more water out of it. In general, a drizzle

is not a shower.

6) Bed linnen was clean, but coarse. The cover was visibly old

and tattered.

All in all, bearable, but a little effort would make the place very

hospitible. A little renovation and frash paint on the sometime cracked walls would do no harm either.

2 of 5  Tacky, A TripAdvisor Member, Orpington, England, October 29, 2005

Old two-storey motel with creaky floors. Room smelled. Walls thin. Furniture old and carpet not very clean. Bed soft and creaky. A/C noisy. Pool small and the lights attracted insects and moths. We thought the best place to avoid the insects was in the water but when we got out to shower, two of us found ourselves absolutely covered in small black insects under our swimming costumes. One of the furthest motels from London Bridge along London Bridge Road. You can just about see the advertised lake view if you lean far out over the balcony and look right (get someone to hang on to your feet). A lot closer to hand was a view of a huge pile of cement behind the swimming pool.

We had an excellent meal with good service at the Frigate restaurant nearby.

1 of 5  Never ever stay here, A TripAdvisor Member, downey, ca, October 20, 2007

slight musty odor

no kleenex

no clock at all in the room

toilette paper was slightly shy of sandpaper

internet connection was off and on . . . . . mostly off

bathroom was scary! Toilette black with god knows what's

stains on the lamp shades

had to wait all day for clean towels and didn't give us enough (1 towel for four people.

spa looked hand painted with chips floating in the water

couldn't even tell the jets were on and know way to adjust.

1 of 5  Sins of the father blamed on the daughter..., A TripAdvisor Member, Auburn, WA, May 23, 2007

After staying two nights in this hotel, I arrived on the third night tired and sore from cleaning up after a fire, my fathers oxygen machine exploded, I had flea bites from the previous nights in this hotel, I was told that they would not rent me a room because of what my father had done. He was and still is in a Las Vegas hospital fighting for his life. Then I was looking over my credit card bill and I was billed for three nghts instead of only the two I was allowed to stay there. I guess they thought I wouldn't notice. Well I did and now I feel everyone who stays here should check their credit card bills because the charges were all for weekdays yet all different prices. And what had my father done? Needed oxygen I guess.

1 of 5  Disappointed and frustrated, A TripAdvisor Member, Indiana, July 31, 2006

There was little to no view of the lake nor was there easy access to the lake, the laundry service was non operational, the microwave and refrigerator were not working properly, the pool was green and there was construction right next door to the hotel. We contacted the personnel in the office with our complaints the evening of June 20 and we were told to speak with the manager in the morning--which we did. He explained that he would give a discount if he could, but because the room was booked on line he would have to contact that company for compensation. He agreed to do that and get back with us later that day (June 21). When we did not hear from him we called the hotel and left another message which was never returned.

1 of 5  'Beware' Check room for damage and report to manager or else they charge you!!, A TripAdvisor Member, Laguna Niguel, California, June 7, 2005

My daugher and I went to Lake Havasu City and stayed at the Windsor Inn as the other better hotels were booked due to the holiday weekend. We stayed there 7 days to visit old friends as we used to live there and my parents who live in Bullhead City. When we checked in we did notice stains in the carpet and a holde in the celing and comet cleanser all in the bathroom. (I didn't think that was too safe having a medical background if a person stying there had kids or pets) probably to keep the bugs away. But we didn't think too much of it as its probably a 1 star hotel, and since I used to live there know the reputation of that hotel. Then today after checking the bank account I noticed a 152.00 charge from the hotel. After calling the manager of the Windsor Inn I was told we had done damage to the room and that was the repair bill. He stated we had cut the cord to the phone?? (How were we to do that when we didn't even have a knife on the trip to put mayo on our sandwiches for the boat trips) The only thing we did was to the phone was push the buttons to dial our friends to meet up with them for boating, also they said we poked a hole in the ceiling I am not even sure how we could have done that as we didn't bring and brooms or sharp objects with us, and he said we spilled drinks on the carpet, and I know for a fact my daughter who is 24 and I am 52 didn't spill any drinks in that room. Before we left I even had emptied our trash in the dumpster and over the Holiday was picking up trash in the parking lot for them from the partiers, as I felt sorry for the owners. That weekend we were there was the holiday and of course the partiers in other rooms kept us up all night with the truck doors open playing loud music and even staying out in the pool area till after 4am with no complaints from the managment there that I know of. So we didn't even get much sleep. The manager said that before the holiday weekend he had repair people in the hotel so he knows we did the damage. I don't appreciate being called a liar and being charged for something we did not do. I go there often so I will never stay there again.

1 of 5  Caution, A TripAdvisor Member, phoenix, April 25, 2005

Rude staff that would not replace heavily stained sheets until they called the cops twice on us and named us racist. Paid $90 for the room and only when we checked out did i hear that the person checking in infront of me is only paying $60. Go talk to the island inn resort, they helped us out of this mess.

1 of 5  bummer dump, A TripAdvisor Member, l.a., california, May 26, 2003

it's a cheap run down motel that needs a lot of attention and has some pretty rude staff also. Even getting a discount doesnt help the fact that the place is a pit that has had perfume poured on it.

1 of 5  WINDSOR INN MOTEL, A TripAdvisor Member, March 6, 2003

Most terrible motel ever , worst rooms, smelly. rude manager and staff i have ever come across.DO NOT STAY HERE.
