We were booked at the Super 8 on East Fletcher Avenue. The room, at first glance as OK but upon further inspection - there was dried diarhhea on the toilet. When I mentioned it to the owner (after I cleaned it myself) he told me that it was disturbing but obviously not disturbing enough to have the remaining urine stains cleaned off the basin over the next 3 days. My new white socks were black after one walk across the carpet, the staff would not allow a call to our room by our son because he did not know the room number (what are the odds - he was in Canada). When I inquired about the phone call, I was asked if my son knew my name - gee -I would hope so! The first morning there, we went to the Continential breakfast - coffee and two empty boxes of donuts in the lobby. We don't drink coffee or eat donuts for breakfast. We felt that we were not safe in that area or at that motel. After 3 days we moved to another motel 3 blocks away (and not a Super 8). We have stayed numberous times at the Super 8 in Bangor and found it to be excellent. I have spoken to another couple staying there and they have similar stories. In your best interest and safety, please do not take your family there. | ||

My lady friend and I flew into Tampa from San Francisco and had reservations at the Super 8 at the Fletcher ave location. They had our confirmation all jacked up as they had booked us two rooms with one bed each, when we had requested one room with two beds. The clerk was very rude and even stated that this was the reservation depts problem and he could not fix it. We ended up having to pay more for one room that the booking of two rooms. I kept telling my friend that the place seemed unsafe as there were people milling around like they were selling drugs, and for her not to go to the nearby store without alerting me first. I will not be using this Super 8 again. I have used Super 8 b4 in Redwood City, Calif. and had a very nice stay If you want a nice, CLEAN place to stay, DON'T, I repeat, DO NOT STAY HERE. Filthy rooms. Filthy mattress, Filthy doors (how can you let the inside of a door get so dirty??) Just downright horrible. The Staff on the other hand was friendly, but the hotel was horrible. I did complain about the dirt and the fact that my sheets were not changed once during my entire stay to the front desk. The response I got was "Well, you booked this room through Expedia". WHAT???? Does that mean Expedia is supposed to come clean the rooms and keep up the place? I think not. Super 8 in Savannah GA was GREAT. This joint does not deserve to be called a hotel.
