We spent three nights at this hotel and couldn't imagine a better location for sight-seeing and eating out in Bremen. You are less than one minute away from the Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum and two brew pubs, a couple of minutes from the beautiful Rathaus and maybe 10 minutes from die Schlachte area with numerous restaurants. But this review is about a hotel. The hotel room was excellent, with flat screen TV, coffee-tea facilities, safe, crisp sheets, parking directly underneath the hotel, etc. The windows opened, although to a busy street below. We found it a bit unusual that there was only one English-language TV station and three stations in Arabic. I don't know if the hotel was understaffed, but our room wasn't made up until late in the afternoon. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

This hotel has an excellent location, right next to many of the major attractions in Bremen. Bremen is a beautiful city, with a lot of history and character. The hotel was basic, but clean, comfortable and convenient. The staff were very friendly. We had no complaints. The city centre is quite compact and everything in Bremen is within walking distance from the hotel which is situated just behind the town hall square, just minutes from the old town. Rooms are great - good even by Hilton standards. I had a luxury King room including breakfast which was worth every Euro and cent I paid. Rooms are not terribly large, but then they seldom are here in Europe. Everything you could wish for on a short trip was in the room. The hotel was spotless. Bathroom was modern and shined like new. I particularly commend the staff, especially in the restaurant. Breakfast was a relaxing pleasure, and I was made to feel really welcome. All the favorable reviews have it absolutely right. The hilton bremen is a great place. The rooms are well furnished and the bathroom is also very good tho the cleanliness in the bathroom could have been a little better. The staff is pleasant and cordial. I ordered room service for dinner and the guy who bought it up realised i was watching soccer and even updated me on the score of another game...all in all a pleasant experience. would love to stay here again. I stayed here for one night 28th March as a stop over when collecting my car from the mercedes benz factory in bremen. I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice modern hotel this was. The room was of average size but very well furnished and comfortable. The hotel reception and bar areas were very bright and modern and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was very enjoyable. Although we did not use the leisure facilities there is a very nice swimming pool and gym. We would not hesitate to use this hotel in the future. This hotel FAR exceeded my expectations. The room was luxuriously appointed, and even the bathroom was beautifully sumptuous. Marble desk, great lighting, lounge chair & footstool, cocktail table, wonderfully comfortable bed, all done in a pleasing and elegant contemporary style. Even the hygeine products provided by the hotel and the huge complimentary bottle of Gerolsteiner helped add to the upmarket feeling of the place. The breakfast buffet, served in a glorious atrium, was overwhelming...much more than what one usually finds in this price range. All hotel staff were extremely friendly and very anxious to be of any type of service. In addition, the location is ideal for being "touristy" in Bremen, you can access the medieval Böttcherstraße with its delightful shops directly from the hotel. This charming street leads right into the Old Town Square with the Bremer Stadtmusikanten, the Hanseatic Town Hall, Roland, and the awe-inspiring St. Peter's Cathedral. If I am ever able to return to Bremen, I would definitely stay here...I believe it is the nicest hotel in town. One word of caution...the parking garage can be a tight fit, so Watch Out for the walls when taking those corners!!! We stayed at the Hilton for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. To start, the hotel has been recently updated throughout. this includes guest rooms which are modern, nicely designed, and clean, and the fitness center which has a nice pool, small gym, sauna, sun room, etc. They have wireless in all rooms, though for a fee. The staff was friendly & courteous. The breakfast spread is outstanding! The location is nearly ideal...really just in the center of the primry tourist attractions and just a few steps from the river Weser. Would stay here again. After booking I read an adverse review by previous guest of Bremen Hilton as to its not being on a par with other Hilton hotels. My wife and I were almost scared off, but proceeded to go nevertheless. We could not have been more surprised. The room, though not palatial, was about the size of a room at the Los Angeles Hilton I had stayed in years ago. The king size bed, the furnishings, the marble top desk with full internet connections, an easy chair with foot stool were all useful and comfortable. Among amenities in a hotel I prize as much quiet in a room as possible, and although our fourth floor room looked out on a busy street the double windows had shut out all noise completely. (It could not have been more silent on the Boettcherstra?e side of the hotel, a marvellous fully renovated medieval street open only to pedestrians.) The personnel was most friendly, helpful and efficient. As to the breakfast buffet, it was nothing less than sumptuous, full of delectable cold and hot items. The undeground parking (though extra) was most handy. All in all, we are glad we were not scared off by ONE disgruntled traveller. I recommend the Bremen Hilton wholeheartedly. This is a very nice hotel in a good location. I agree with the other reviews that there are a lot of extras with this chain of hotels. We had been on a driving holiday to Norway and Sweden and this was the first hotel where we had had to pay for breakfast. Some hotels had free wireless internet, some you had to pay, but this was the most expensive. We liked the parking under the hotel, but again had to pay. We had been upgraded though! We would definitely stay here again and loved Bremen, what a beautiful city! This is a good business hotel in Bremen and its convenient in that you are close to the business areas by tram but also situation in a very interesting part of Bremen so its convenient and close to shops, tourist areas, and fine restaurants. The staff is typical "Hilton" quality -- polite, friendly, efficient, and professional. Room was good quality; clean and everything in fine working order. Breakfast was good with many selections but a bit pricey. For a business hotel, the Hilton Bremen would be my top choice. After my last review of the Hilton Bremen a few years ago I decided to write a new one. SInce my last stay a few things have changed..... First of all; de rooms are being refurnished ( not all btw ), most of the rooms offer now a nice sofa and a Flatscreen television. De rooms are well equipt with everything both leisure and businessguests need. The beds are still very soft and the whole room is very neat and clean. Unfortunately there haven't been any changes in the bathrooms; they are still very oldfashioned and cant demand on todays needs! The staff is stil very friendly en do everything they can to make your stay pleasant! Best part is ofcourse still the location; just a few steps away from the lovelymarketsquare and the nearby Starbucks.....what else do you need :)? Great location in a quit historical side street of the city centre. Rooms a not very large but very, very clean. Easy access by car, parking underneath the hotel. Nice restaurant with good food (not really equiped for kids, somewhat business like). Superhelpful staff. Attractions for everybody within short distances. Within walking distance: the historical city centre, a harbour cruise, a beer factory tour, shopping, bars, restaurants, architectural tours. The aerospace museum and zoo are just a short drive away etc. etc. This would normally be out of my price range but an internet offer and cheap flights persauded me to book a night here, and it was well worth it. The main attraction for me was the entrance on Böttchersraße, firstly as this meant it had a great central location, and secondly this meant, Haus Atlantic, with its fanastic staircase and Himmelsaal were part of the Hotel. These are well worth a peek if you want to explore the complex. The rooms were well equiped and the bed was huge. There were a few little deatails that i was surprised at, such as the grubby door to the bathroom, but on the whole the room felt very nice. The pool was small but perfectly good for a swim, the sauna was also good. the gym was small, but to be honest we didn't come to Bremen to use a gym. There is not a better located Hotel in the whole of Bremen, well worth splashing out on. My husband and I stayed 4 days at the Hilton Bremen. The location of the hotel is excellent. The staff was very friendly and most welcoming and gave us all the service we wanted. They were all very polite. The rooms and the bathroom are not very big, but they have all you need. Very good beds. The room was very clean and well kept. The breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and efficient. The swimmingpool and sauna was nice and clean. The swimmingpool area is not very big, but it is quite OK. There was plenty of towels and everything you needed. The stay was a pleasure and we will stay there again. Went on a business trip to a very snowy and cold Bremen and had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a couple of days - everything you would expect from a Hilton. Staff were very friendly, rooms were big enough and comfortable. They initially gave me a smoking room but changed it very swiftly. Service is great, food is good quality although the room service menu could do with a bit of expansion for the business traveller who is unfortunate enough to have to live in a hotel for a lengthier time and has "done the entire room service menu". Have been in this rather unpleasant situation once or twice let me tell you. I wouldn't bother with the bar or restaurant in the evening, unless you're into staring at your drink with one or two other lonely souls in this huge area in behind the lobby. The gym is small but OK for a swift workout, the pool looks the same and the sauna is frequented by naked Germans of either gender (as you'd expect). Unfortunately I had to share it with a hirsute near-pensionable age bloke, so I wish you better luck in this part of the hotel. The in-room internet is complicated and the adult movies have no freeview but don't let that spoil your business trip. Can't really comment on the location as it was cold, snowing and the people I was working with had no life. But the hotel's a good one. Rooms have improved a lot since my earlier review on this page from 2003. Service is up to Hilton standards by now. Bathrooms have been completely remodelled, however they are still relatively small. If you plan to sleep longer than 7 AM ask for a quite room, as those rooms that face the street are quite noisy. Location of the hotel is perfect for sight-seeing in OldTown. However if you arrive by car be prepared to pay 13 EUR/day for parking as it is a crowded neighborhood. Personally I think the hotel is a bit overpriced (if you pay more than 120 EUR per room) but since the Marriott Bremen has been closed, alternatives are even harder to find. We have just returned from a weekend stay in Bremen. We chose the hotel as it was a large brand name hotel in the centre of the town. It was classed as a 4 star hotel. We had a superior room. But compared to other hotels we've stayed at in the UK the facilities were somewhat limited. The Staff were excellent I couldn’t fault them at all. Very helpful and always courteous. The rooms were clean and tidy, but the sheets only get changed every 3 days. Disappointingly some things id expect to see in a hotel with 4 star rating as standard weren’t available without paying extra money. For example a small thing like having a Kettle in the room with tea and coffee wasn’t available in a superior room. We had to ask out maid for one. You needed to pay extra for that and a chocolate on your pillow in a deluxe room. The room was air conditioned but it was very noisy and made sleeping difficult at night. Internet access is good in every room BUT you have to pay and the terms unreasonable. In other hotels it’s been free. The TV choice was also limited if you chose not to pay. Also the view from out room was poor. We had a room that looked out on to the hotel atrium so we didn’t have any views of beautiful Bremen We stayed for breakfast and chose to eat out. The food was excellent and service good. We didn’t have time to use any of the gym facilities Its seems to be more for business men than tourists. Id probably look around for somewhere else to stay more reasonably priced . This hotel is a typical run-down European chain hotel, with few modern amenities and not much to offer for business travellers. The lobby area is mainly a couple of seats and then a bar, which iisn't very convenient for business meetings. There was no porter service when we arrived so if you're travelling with a lot of luggage, you're on your own. The check-in was friendly and efficient. The room was quite small and faced inwards, so there wasn't much privacy because the view was just the windows of the surrounding rooms. I understand you can get an outer view if you request it. Location is very good- right next to the main attractions of Bremen, and across the road from the old part of the city, which is all charming. There is a walking route by the river which was quite busy on the weekend. We arrived on a Sunday and everything was closed for the day, except for some cafes. Overall, a convenient location but in need of renovation. My wife and I stayed at the Hilton for one night and asked for a non smoking room. we were given a room on a non smoking floor but the corridor and room smelt overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke. we were not offerred another room as none were available, and we were later told by a member of staff that so many visitors smoke that the Hotels policy is to put them in non smoking rooms but give them permission to smoke! Also the rooms do not have tea/coffee facilities because they want you to use expensive room service. The rooms were a good size and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had in months. It is a pity the restaurant was poor. We were on a package deal giving us a free evening meal . There was only one other couple in the restaurant and my meal was slow, tiny and poorly cooked, raw fish had to be sent back. As there are dozens of good restaurants within 5 minutes walk we wish we had ignored the free dinner and gone somewhere nice instead. On the plus side the staff were excellent and the location is superb. Overall nice hotel. Helpful staff Friendly for non-smokers, not just the room but the lobby was smoke-free. Bar was smoky, however. Convenient garage parking. On the negative side, the fitness center is a joke. Nice shower, small pool, but exercise equipment is far from adequate, (far below what one would find at a Marriott Courtyard in the U.S.)
