1 of 5  Dreadful rooms and unprofessional staff, A TripAdvisor Member, Canada, October 17, 2007

Stayed here October 15th and 16th 2007.

On our arrival on the evening of the 15th the staff was very unproffesional. Arguing in front of customers.

Next, we went to our dirty room. Very dingy and dirty.

Walls have not been washed in forever. The bedspread was extremely dirty. Bathroom counter still had someone elses toothpast eon it Plastic drinking cups with hair in them.Next night stayed in the bridal suite. Nice enough room. But a bit pricey. Some of the lights were burnt out and again the walls needed a good washing.

Restauraunt staff very friendly.

Will not stay here again unless hotel is majorly cleaned and upgraded.

3 of 5  Very quiet peaceful helpful at front desk, A TripAdvisor Member, Alberta, June 7, 2008

Upon calling the hotel in advance I have stayed here a few times before.. They had lots of rooms available and said we would have no problem when we arrived in three hours.. The food at the cafe was really good, nice size portion and service by two waitresses was more than friendly... went for a swim the pool and hottub were both clean and since we arrived a bit late the front desk left us swim later than normal... We met a few people around the pool and throughout the hotel who seemed very friendly..

I rate this hotel fairly well, the price was $115 per night under AMA / Cooperate which is seemed average for being so close to the airport..

1 of 5  RESERVATIONS ARE USELESS!!!, A TripAdvisor Member, Slave Lake, AB, May 7, 2008

We had booked a room here to stay when we went out of the country on vacation. I had phoned the hotel to reserve a room the night before we flew out from Edmonton, and had also reserved a room for when we returned. When I reserved the room for our return, I specifically told them it would be a late check-in, as our flight did not arrive in Edmonton until 1:30 in the morning. The girl at the desk assured me that would not be a problem. I even told them this again when we checked out the first night. Upon arrival at the hotel after our plane arrived back in Edmonton, we were told that there were no more rooms available in the hotel!!!! I could not believe it!!!! So much for our reservation!!! I will definately not be staying here ever again.

1 of 5  Nice staff, dreadful rooms, A TripAdvisor Member, Canada, February 22, 2006

We did an airport overnight at the Nisku Inn in Feb/06. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, but the rooms were awful. Our first "non-smoking" room absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke (and had a window directly to the weedy parking lot on the same level).

The clerk explained that some rooms had recently been designated as non-smoking (evidently nobody thought to clean the carpets/drapes). We got moved to a new room which smelled better, but was still grotty. No cover on the boxspring under the mattress, and the sheet was smallish and pulled off the mattress easily. The carpet had dirt, hair, dust in it.

The door did not lock easily, and the room was pretty banged-up looking. There are no opening windows, and the heat control didn't work so it was very hot in the room. I got a fan from the front desk; they said lots of the rooms didn't have working climate controls.

The restaurant food was fine, and the pool area looked very nice. OK to eat at, just don't sleep there.
