I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is not only clean, but it smells great, too! The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast had enough variety for my low carb diet. Good restaurants in the local area and a great bed made it a perfect place to stay. Seems to be a safe area, rooms and hotel in good shape, service was outstanding. Manager went out of his way to help me find my way around Philly, he gave me a map and reviewed where to go. Good place to stay. easy to get to, lots of food and some shops are in the area. clean hotel with a friendly staff and it was $90 for the night We found the hotel very clean, staff very friendly, and the kids loved the pool. I only wish they would repalce the aging beds that were as hard as a slab of concrete. We enjoyed our stay here. Friendly service, clean, new accommodations. Beautiful, quiet lobby area. Free Internet access in the lobby. The only complaints: too little drawer space in the room, as they had extra pillows and linens taking up the dresser drawers, and the rooms were not well-lit at all. You couldn't read in your room. It was too dark and a bit depressing. All it would take is brighter light bulbs to greatly improve the rooms. The whirlpool tub was the bathroom tub with room for one.The heated pool was too cool. The Jacuzzi is no longer in service. Living only a few miles away, I will mention that this is in a nice area with several new restaurants (Cracker Barrel, Friday's, Applebees) and stores. This Holiday Inn Express is new. It is directly off the Turnpike exit, however, if you plan to spend a few days touring the Philadelphia exit, you may want to look to stay a little closer to the city, perhaps in the Mount Laurel/Cherry Hill area. They are much more congested areas, however, they are a bit more convenient. I've stayed at this hotel twice in recent weeks, due to its close proximity to Philadelphia and southern New Jersey locations where I've had work. I prefer to stay at Hampton Inn, but their AAA rate was $146, and the Holiday Inn was $118. I called the Hampton to ask if they would match the rate in order to get my business, but they weren't interested! Business is better than expected, I guess... The Holiday Inn is fine for the price - the beds are a little hard, but the pillows are great, and the rooms have fridge/microwave/safe as well as free wireless. It's conveniently located just off the Mt. Holly exit on the NJ Turnpike, and there are shopping and restaurants close by. The free breakfast in the morning has a great selection, as per usual with the Holiday Inn Express chain. Arriving to this Holiday Inn Express after a 12 hour drive from Ohio...we checked and was told there were no king rooms left so we settled for 2 queen beds...the room was nice so we settled in and went to the pool/whirpool room to relax....when we got there the whirlpool was out of order and the indoor pool was COLD. So we sat and dried off from the cold pool and went back to our room to find out our keycard wouldnt work. My husband went to the desk to find out they had given us the wrong room and the lady said "I do have a king room for you" So we drug all our stuff back out of the room on the 2nd floor and went to the 3rd floor to our "new and correct" room. OOPS....its smoking...and I have bad allergies...so I stomped back to the front desk with my husband and all our luggage and tossed her the keycard and told her that wouldnt work cause it was smoking and still only 2 queens beds instead of the king she said it was......she said to make it convenient here is another room on the 3rd floor (our luggage was sitting next to us by the front desk) when we arrived at the 3rd room of the night and opened the door, someone else had already checked into it...the luggage was sitting on the bed. So I raged back to the front desk....not being so nice by this time...and told her I wanted the King, Non Smoking Room that I had originally booked....she said "what's wrong with 311?" Well I didnt come here to share a room with someone so I need one you havent checked someone else into. So I told her she had seconds to find me a room on the first floor that was non smoking and had 2 queen beds....we finally found one and settled into it.....we needed to make a trip to the local Walmart for a few things and wasnt sure our room would be safe to leave alone. As we were walking out for a trip to Walmart I heard her give my name to another lady trying to get a room straight.....SOOOO I walked back to the lobby and had to tell the clerk that I was finally in room 105 for two nights and I expected to have that room when I came back from Walmart.....We were informed that they were overbooked because of the AirForce Base and that they were very sorry.....All this time, the two ladies at the front desk were very nice....just very rattled that they had so many people and no rooms for them. I talked to the manager the next morning about our 4 room ordeal and she gave us our first night free and apologized for the troubles. It was a very nice hotel but make sure when you go you take your confirmation number so you can prove you have a room and also what rate was quoted to you......they tried to charge us $5.00 more a night than we were promised when we booked it.....THE HOTEL WAS SO NICE THAT EVEN WITH ALL THIS TROUBLE, WE WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN....THE CLEANEST PLACE WE HAVE STAYED.

We booked this hotel since it was one of the few that had a pool. When we went to go to the pool the water was ice cold. When we asked the front desk what was going on they had no clue. Each time we stopped by the front desk at different times on our 1st day there each new person said they had no idea why the heater was broke, It was not until the second night a front desk person disclosed the heater has been having problems for weeks. Why the idiots did not put a sign on the door - or alert their employees I have no idea. The beds are at least 20 years old and hard as a friggin rock. The boxsprings were old and stained. The rooms were so over sprayed with deoderizers your eyes would tear up. We even left the room door open for a couple of hourse to get in some fresher air. Avoid this hotel like the plague unless you are into 20 year old hard as a rock stained beds!
