This is the best hotel i have ever stayed in, and I've stayed in alot thnx to the military. The staff are really polite, helpful, and friendly, the hot tub is very nice and their complimentary breakfast is top notch ( they have eveything from omelets to fresh made waffles, bagels, and so of the best coffee in town!)! It is located near the highway, and close to all shopping, but when you get into your hotel room, all you hear is blissful silence. This hotel is surrounded by its own little forest and it is beautiful in the mornings. They allow dogs, big dogs even (all they ask is you clean up after them, which keeps you and everyone else from stepping in dog waste). They also have wi-fi internet and free internet downstairs in the lobby, and in the evenings they have fresh, hot cookies that are to die for! So, if you want to stay in a nice hotel that won't break the bank, but will change the way you feel about hotels, check it out! You will not be sorry! We stayed at the La Quinta Inn in Lacey for 8 nights and greatly enjoyed every one of them. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Kellie checked us in but almost served as a concierge providing needed information about the area too. (You may want to get specific directions to the hotel before you go.) Housekeeping did an excellent job. The breakfast includes many items----fresh waffles, frozen omelets to microwave, many kinds of baked goods, etc. Of course, there were different cereals and also oatmeal, fruit, coffee, and even herbal teas. Coffee was continuously available in the lobby. The fresh baked cookies every night were a special touch and so delicious!! There is an indoor pool available, microwave and refrigerator in the room, comfortable king size beds, and other reasons to choose the La Quinta. The whole staff wanted our stay to be special---and it was! If we are ever in the area again, we'll definitely stay at the La Quinta. I visited my son, who is stationed at Ft. Lewis but lives in Lacey during the Thanksgiving holidays. I stayed at the hotel for a week and it was a good value for the money., especially if you have kids travelling with you. Daily breakfast with lots of variety, including hot waffles, was delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Even on Thanksgiving Day they still made arrangements to have someone to service the guest rooms. Delivery of fresh towels each day; daily newspaper in lobby, access to internet in lobby. Easy access to various food venues. Access to the hotel can be a little tricky (especially at night), so when you visit, take exit 109 from Interstate 5; take a right at the light. You'll see the LaQuinta sign on the right.. Just after you pass the hotel take a right turn at the light then another right at the first turn. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I visit Lacey again. I recently stayed at the La Quinta for five nights and found the hotel to be in the top of this hotel class. The rooms looked to be recently redone, the included breakfast was better than most with waffles from batter and many other breakfast items, the property was clean in and out, the staff cheerful and helpful. With an exercise room, indoor pool/spa and free internet access in the breakfast room the property has amenities better than similar hotels. I can easily recommend this property to others. This Holiday Inn Express fronts Martin Way but it is accessible only by an unmarked entrance off College Street and Park Center Avenue. The Inn is very well managed, with a friendly staff at the front desk, good maintenance on the building and grounds, and clean, well-appointed rooms. The continental breakfast is first rate. The desk in my room had an RJ-45 cable ready to plug into my laptop computer for fast Internet access. The sound proofing in the walls is excellent; I didn't hear a thing from the rooms adjacent to mine. I was too busy to use the nice indoor pool, but I hope to check it out on my next visit. Very satisfying stay, hotel staff was friendly and responsive. Both the hotel and my room were new, clean and well appointed, and the continental breakfast and cookies were better than average. Hotel is located just off of I-5. This hotel is perfect for getting a good night's sleep and enough food in the morning to get you through to lunch. It's also pet friendly, which was a bit of a problem since a dog whined in the room next to us, but the staff is eager to resolve any situations like that. Note that the entrance to the hotel is a little hard to find, even though it's right off I-5; be sure to ask for directions. The beds are comfortable, the staff friendly and the breakfast okay. There's always coffee brewed in the lobby. Ask for a room on the top floor facing the wooded area. We stayed one night for a terrific "weekend getaway" price while visiting the state capital and other local sites. Front desk & housekeeping staff were helpful. Breakfast has lots of choices including a frozen omelet to microwave, fresh waffles, & baked goods. Newspapers & coffee available all day; cookies available in the evening. Rooms were reasonably clean, though we did find a bit of debris on the floor. Internet access appreciated by cyber-savvy teen in the family. Lots of families were using the indoor pool, both in the evening and the morning. Location & value can't be beat. room comfortable, nice breakfast, small fitness center Stayed here 3 nights in early May 2006. Booked directly through Holiday Inn web site and am priority club member. Nice sized room, fridge & microwave were a great touch. Everything very clean and breakfast was quite nice. Continental-ish, mostly fruit and bread products. Cinnamon rolls were very good. Indoor pool was small but enjoyable. Definitely would stay here again. Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of January 2006. Well located hotel, just off the I-5, but the builder left lots of tall trees around, so the setting is pretty. Lots of amenities nearby. Staff seemed eager to please. Room was clean. Little touches like warm cookies at night were nice, and the complimentary breakfast was certainly adequate. Although located right off the highway it is surrounded by greenery. The hotel amenities and services are fine, the front desk staff however could be a little more friendly and customer-focused. The one thing that annoyed me was the size of the breakfast room, since it was constantly full and I had to wait for ten minutes or so to get a place to sip coffee and enjoy cinnamon rolls. This is a first for me. I booked a room at the HI Express in Lacey for 2 nights for a training class. I drove around and around looking for the hotel, which is quite odd. The hotel has changed to a La Quinta Inn as of noon TODAY! So much for getting my Priority Club points. Anyhow, on to the review. The lobby feels a bit cramped at check-in, but I don't think that was different than before. The room itself is a decent sized king room with a pullout double sofa bed. I can't tell how much renovating they've done, but it feels kind of new and old at the same time. One nice touch in the bathroom is the outward curving shower bar. Since I just checked in, I can't speak to the bed, pool, or breakfast yet. I just wanted to alert folks that this is NO LONGER a Holiday Inn Express!

We have stayed at this hotel about 4 - 5 times. It is no better than a 2 star rating. The rooms are not real clean and frequently smell . Upkeep is below par. Internet has not worked For it having been given a 3 star rating at Hotel.com, we are definitely disappointed. We should have known from the first thing that this was not going to be a good experience. The front door was closed, with an arrow pointing to the side when we arrived here. We walked around and that door was locked, but someone came out the door and let us in. Once inside, the elevator was broken down. The first room we were given had stuff all over the floor, big pieces of food, bobby pins, pieces of broken metal. The bed spread had blood and a huge ink stain on it. We were given a different room, but it was not clean either. Very black finger prints on the white closet door, LOTS of hair in the tub, and one of the two beds had lipstick across the top of it. There is only one computer for everyone in the motel to use, and it's right in the entry way, right next to the desk, where not only can everyone see what you are doing on the computer, but if you are on the computer or sitting in the little commons area, you can hear all the information of the people checking in. Not terribly safe for those who want to protect themselves from identity theft. The staff was loud!! We went out to the lobby to try to use the computer around 10:30 pm and they were so loud, I do not know how the people on the first floor were getting any rest. Very unprofessional. The breakfast was available from 6:00-9:30. We went down at 7:20, and they were already out of waffles. The man next to us got some coffee, and he asked the gal at the front desk if she knew that there were grounds in the coffee, and she said she did, because they ran out of filters, so just brewed it without filters, but "AT LEAST THEY WERE SMALL GROUNDS, NOT THE LARGE ONES.' Check out took 15 minutes and was a fiasco. I recommend staying at Ameritel across the street. We tried, but they were full, but had stayed there at the beginning of the week.
