Worst Stay Ever! | Read all reviews
This was the worst place my family ever stayed at. Its like a motel Thank God we found a better hotel near the Dells. This was so far away from the Dells. There was a really bad smell also. The room was really dark. When we looked out the window we saw this cracked sidewalk. The place is located in the middle of nowhere. I am NEVER going to stay there EVER again!!!

Stayed in the past winter when I went took my family to Cascade. BTW, this hotel is the closest to Cascade with great rates, clean rooms and ski package specials. I recently went here over the Labor Day Weekend (en route to Dells) for a final getaway before kids go to school. As always we were greeted by superb staff and clean rooms!!! Keep up the good work! Will definitely we'll be back during ski season! Great Staff, Room clean, Excellent Service wirte at highway. We enjoy our Stay and will Stay agin.!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I can't believe some of the other reviews I'm reading. This hotel looks practically brand new!!! It looks like it recently went under major renovation. Rooms extremely comfortable, staff very friendly. Great job management! My wife and I stayed here on our way to South Bend, IN. We had hoped to make Chicago but our newborn had different ideas. We didn't have a reservation but didn't have any problems getting a room. I think we paid $55 with tax. The room was typical of all Days Inn. Nothing fancy but it was clean and the beds were adequate. The hotel offers a continental breakfast and free high speed internet. I'd definately stay again if I need a room in the Portage area. First hotel I've ever stayed in that weren't stingy with their towels. The price was reasonable. We are definitely keeping this hotel in mind when we travel again. Hotels in or near the Dells are an unpredictable bunch, so we typically have low expectations. I, wife, and kids stayed here for 2 nights in June for a Wisconsin Dells trip and were pleased at the experience. Everything was nicely clean, the pillows were ok, and the features were all updated. We didn’t swim in the pool but it was moderately sized for a hotel. The beds were double-sized only. The wireless Internet was free, a MUST for my reviews to be more than lukewarm. The breakfast was generic with bagels, muffins, 2 kinds of cereal, plus oatmeal, and toast. Nothing fancy, but a good place to collapse in exhaustion. We would stay there again

First, we arrived and stood in line to check-in. No big deal. I go to check in (we had a reservation thru daysinn). Without explaining anything that was going on, the girl behind the desk puts me on the phone with her husband (the owner) who proceeds to tell me there is no room for us. It was like the Seinfeld episode about the car rental. They know how to "take" a reservation, but they don't know how to "hold" the reservation which is really the important part. Finally the five members of my family were given a one bedroom "suite" that was worse than 99% of the regular rooms I've ever stayed in. Only one outlet in the whole room worked. The hair dryer didn't work. The fridge didn't work, the microwave didn't work. No elevators. The bathroom was filthy. Muddy footprints and hair on the bathroom floor and what appeared to be crusted vomit on the wall. Bedding also had hair on it. We went to Walmart and bought our own bedding cause there was no way my kids were sleeping on that stuff. We would have went elsewhere but the other hotel was sold out as well (it was a holiday weekend). Power went out during the night (but that couldn't be helped). The doors to the facilty are never locked so anyone from the adjacent gas station can walk right in the rear of the building where no one would ever see. VERY POOR security. The owner's allowed guests to set off fireworks in the parking lot next to a row of vehicles. I know not to expect a four star when I pick a dinky little Days Inn. However I do have an expectation of cleanliness and this did not meet that expectation at all. We couldn't get out of there soon enough. I didn't allow my kids to take their shoes off at all and no one showered because of the filth.
