Ibis Stuttgart City

This is a good hotel for a business traveller. It is very close to Kilesberg Exhibition center and less than 5 minutes walk to metro. The room was nothing fancy but nice and clean. The staff was quite helpful.

Make sure you apply for their frequent traveller/guest card. That will give you 10% off right on the spot. The hotel is located in somewhat a residential area so there wasn't much entertainment around. There was a nice pub down the road though. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Have stayed here a couple of times for a night only. Chose this hotel as it is easy to drive to and park while at the same time being close to the centre (short tram ride and tram stop is very nearby).

Inside you’ll find your typical Ibis amenities, with the added benefit that the rooms in this hotel are quite bright and the walls seem thicker. I also found this to be cleaner than your usual Ibis hotel. Be warned that if you're looking for any character you won't find it here - this is the European equivalent of a Super8 Motel.

Breakfast is good and definitely worth paying for. Overall, I rate this hotel highly as it is very good value, safe and comfortable for a 2*.

We stayed in the Ibis Stuttgart City (2 stars) for 4 nights. It is next to a bigger street surrounded by company buildings so there are no coffee places or restaurants around. There was one restaurant opposite that we did not try though since it did not look too inviting. Coming from the main train station, take the underground tram (U-Bahn) no. 5, 6 or 7 direction Gerlingen or Killesberg/Messe and it is just 2 stops away (stop: Eckartshaldenweg). The staff at the hotel desk were friendly and helpful; in the reception area there is a computer with internet connection that you can use for free. We stayed in a double-room on the 6th floor. The room was very clean and simple with a TV and heating that works automatically according to the outside temperature. (no minibar and safe). Thanks to the close distance to the city centre, we would stay there another time.
