Ramada Bremen

Stayed here for one night. There was no parking at the hotel, so we had to park next door.

The night man was very nice and attentive, but the lady in the afternoon that checked us in was snotty and not very helpful.

The location was fantastic. The room was very nice as well. I felt that the Best Western I stayed at was a bit better value. But, this was acceptable.

Good points:

Excellent location in the old town and near river, some delightful places to walk and eat/drink in the evenings.

Friendly staff.

Rooms are spacious.

Superb breakfast included

Bad Points:

No air con, and not a good idea to leave windows open, therefore the rooms are like saunas.

Car parking, everywhere in Bremen is a nightmare, you have to pay 16€ per night car parking charges in the hotel car park.

Stayed there the weekend Aug. 11 - 13; 2006, during the festival "Bremen swings": The location was great- just a few steps away from the city center, the "Marktplatz" and the town - musicians. Room and bathroom: small (not to say tiny) but included all you need, staff: very friendly, cleaning staff: extremely thoroughly - don't let anything lie around! Having been in hotels in London, Bruxelles, Rome, Berlin etc. - it was the most sumptuous and luxurious breakfast I've ever seen!

We stayed here as part of a Deutsche Bahn package. In terms of location the hotel is excellently placed; only a few metres to the Rat Haus and all of Bremen's lovely sights. It's about 5 minutes on the bus from the railway station. However, I found the hotel and the staff to be lacking in charm. The breakfast buffet was good but the buffet area felt too small compared to the number of guests accommodated in the hotel so there was a lot of queuing and/or being shoved out of the way. I felt the hotel was merely adequate and I was quite surprised by its 4 star status (I think awarded by the German tourist board).
