It was ok but not that great | Read all reviews
I booked a "suite" but was not given correct information when booking as when I arrived was told the room would be $300 + per night as there were 2 rooms to the suite (including a dining room table for 8. When I booked it I advised there were only 2 of us.(also never did receive the promised confirmation email when booked the room) They changed is so we only had 1/2 the suite but still paid $170 for the room. Jet tub in bathroom was nice but was surprised no desk or table - just dresser in bedroom part. The bed must be quite old as very soft mattress that defiinitely needs replacing. Free hot breakfast in the restaurant included which was good but it took 40 minutes for the food to arrive after ordering

My Husband and I stayed at the Property on the night of July 01, 2008, Canada Day Holiday. The rooms here were lovely , clean bright and recently redone. We had a great time in the pool, hot tub and steam room area. The front of the building is under renovation, but does not affect the sleeping room side of the Hotel. Parking was ample and the alternate entrance to the Lobby was well marked. We enjoyed our complimentary hot breakfast before we headed off for the rest of our trip. We needed a place to stay on the way to a remote resort in Canada, and Dryden was really the only logical location. We called several other hotels and couldn't get a room. We booked a reasonably priced room here. Though we were very worried what we might find, we were surprised that our room was very clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. I know that's different from what others have found recently, but I'm very picky and definitely would be complaining big-time if our room had been dirty. The place is under construction, but that didn't seem to interfere with our stay. The breakfast wasn't fancy, but tasted good. All we paid for was our coffee after the coupons we got with our room. Overall not the fanciest place, but served our purpose well--a clean, comfortable place to spend a night. There was some construction on-going when we stayed there for one night on a family vacation, so some things looked sub-par. With that said, the room and facilities were fine, and the hotel is located right on the Trans-Canada highway, which is convenient. Our kids liked the pool, and the adults liked the steam room. Plus, the full hot breakfast (complimentary) in the morning was a great plus. Nothing fancy or frilly here, but a clean, nice place at a decent price.

My husband and I are in the midst of moving from the west coast to the east coast of Canada. We are staying in all Best Western properties because we usually find them a clean yet budget choice. When we first drove up to the Best Western Motor Inn Dryden we were absolutely horrified. Well, at first, we thought it was completely closed down. As we were about to drive past it and make our way to another town, we noticed a tiny "lobby in parking lot" sign. The hotel is under COMPLETE construction, it looks like a bomb went off, and yet they are still taking reservations at FULL price. For over 100 dollars a night, it would have been nice if they had mentioned that they were virtually torn down. With no other towns within hours and our reservation all ready made, we checked in. After wading through giant puddles of mud and debris to get to our room, we opened the door. Our baby puppy immediately started scavenging the floor of our room and finding all sorts of yummy treats: McDonalds french fries, Reece's peanut butter cups (don't worry, he didn't eat it), garbage, etc. The best part was the used ear-plug we found in the sheets and the filthy dirty cloth found in the bathroom with a note reading "I'm dirty but clean, please use me instead of a clean towel to wash your shoes or remove your makeup". Remove my makeup? HUH???!!! Anyway, we're toughing it out for the night, but we should have been offered a MAJOR discount seeing the condition of the motel, as well as being informed that it was undergoing an overhaul. Oh, and the "free breakfast" wasn't free...it was a $5 off coupon for their filthy bar. Better motels in this city...and probably better cities too.
