Our family has stayed here twice for our trips to Six Flags St. Louis, and we plan on visiting again at least once more this summer. The rooms are clean and fresh, the breakfast delicious and different each morning. My only minot complaints are that the wifi is a ittle weak and the parking lot entrance isn't well marked... expect to miss it the first time. But really, this hotel is on par with every other HI Express we've visited... top notch! Right by the highway, easy access to all of St. Louis. But best of all, we got a steal of a deal on the room. $69 a night for a jacuzzi suite? And it was gorgeous... very clean, fresh flowers in the room, fresh sheets and towels. Friendly staff, modern lobby, and hot, free breakfast in the morning. I'm going to start specifically looking for Holiday Inn Expresses when I travel from now on. The ONLY complaint I can think of is that the pressure in our shower was a little week, but that's it! Plus, it's close to a Jack in the Box for that late night milkshake craving. :) Nice, clean, quiet hotel. We like the Holiday Inn Express Hotels as we can depend on a quiet, comfortable room....great stop when traveling. A Little League baseball group was also staying at the hotel....the receptionist put us on the top floor of the hotel to avoid any noise (however, I did see the kids in the lobby and they we excited, polite young athletes). I stayed in a jacuzzi suite, so I can't comment on their standard rooms. I loved the layout and design of the room. Instead of being a boring box shaped room, it had little angles which made it more visually interesting. It had a mini fridge, micro, dining area, nice sofa, a great bed and tile flooring for the bathroom and jacuzzi area. Also, it was very clean. The staff was great too, friendly and professional. I have no complaints about my stay. My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express-I-44 in Fenton, MO last week. We were glad we had made our trip arrangements a few weeks in advance, as the World Series ended up being in St. Louis while we were there and most/many hotels in the area became booked in a hurry, including this one. This is a great little hotel and a great value as well. We travel quite frequently and usually stay in moderately nice (or better) hotels. We found the rates here not only very affordable (one of the nights of our stay was only $71.00 a night), but the hotel itself was surprisingly nice as well. The room was as large or larger than many (at least in comparison to rooms which were not an actual "suite") hotels at which we've stayed, which includes Westins, Hyatts, and Marriotts, so that was a big plus. The room also included a microwave and small fridge, plus a sitting area with easy chair, in addition to the business desk area in the room. Free fresh cookies at the front desk (in the evenings) tasted good when warmed slightly in the room's microwave as an evening snack. The bathroom had a nice, large marble countertop. So often, hotel bathrooms have little or no counter space around the sink(s), but this one was quite ample. This hotel has been newly renovated (the summer of 2006), so everything was updated, including plush, extra-tall, supportive mattresses for all the beds, posh bedding and a generous supply of pillows, each marked as "soft" or "firm." The breakfast area (free breakfast included) was a little small, but it's hard to gauge the "right" time to go for breakfast, especially when a hotel is booked solid. Case in point: One of the mornings we were there, we arrived at the breakfast area just as the entire women's soccer team from an out-of-state university came down for breakfast! We went to Krispy-Kreme across the street instead! But the food was pleasant here, especially for a "self-serve Continental" type breakfast. My favorites were the delicious cinnamon rolls and ready-made cheese omelets. The attendant at the breakfast area was extra friendly and pleasant. In short, we were very pleased and pleasantly surprised that this Holiday Inn Express was as nice as many other hotels at which we've stayed, but at a much more inexpensive rate, making it a great value. I spend all my time on the road at hotels and moved from the Drury Inn to the Holiday Inn Suite hotel for their extended stay rate. It was $59.00 for at least 21 days but I was staying 2 months. The manager bumped me up to the Executive Suite to make me "more comfortable" with the space. And man what space. Jacuzzi, fridge, microwave, living room. The staff was always friendly but the auditor was the best. Its hard to find an auditor when you come in late that is friendly and wants to talk. (most brush you off). Anyway, if you travel to Fenton MO, and need to feel like home, this place was it. I wish all Expresses were like this one. The commercials were right! I love this hotel and I do feel Smarter staying here. The people were friendly and the place was the cleanest I have seen in a long time. The hotel is conveniently located off I 44 and has the usual HIE amenities. The hotel has a nice stairway to the second floor as an option to the elevator and is a nice look. It has real flowers in the rooms and lobby. The bathroom has a nice shower and a "power toilet" that flushes big time. I appreciate the smoke free environment and everyone follows the policy so the atmosphere is nice. We have stayed here several times while visiting family in St. Louis. Our kids loved the pool (small pool, but has never been crowded when we were there) and we liked the breakfast in the morning. The staff has always been great every time we have been. The rooms and the hotel itself are very clean and in good condition. We will be back! Long flight, bad cabs in town, but the staff at this hotel went above and beyond. I lost my LAN cable they had one, I ran out of toilettries, they had them. I was worried about having a place for dinner. Nothing to worry about...they sent me to the best place right around the block. Ask for Cecelia or Jamie, they took care of everything. Next time skip the big hotel, I pick Express. We stayed in Fenton on April 29th, 2009 on a road trip across country. We've stayed here before, so it's always good to go back to a place you are comfortable with. This place is a bit off the beaten path, but great location. Right off I-44...there's a McDonalds, Sonic and Quik Trip across the street, so very convenient. We stayed in a King Executive room...the spa tub was in the bathroom. Overall, great presentation. Unfortunately, this Holiday Inn is starting to show its age a bit, but not to the point of being concerning. I think the housekeeping could use some help, there was some hair that wasn't mine on the pillowcase when we arrived and a stain on the comforter. Those were the only two things that bothered me, everything else was fine. Our room came with a comfy couch as well as the king bed...that was a nice addition. Continental breakfast included biscuits and gravy, sausage, cinnamon rolls, cereal and coffees/juices. Nice spread and plenty of seating. Overall...a pleasant stop along the way.

The hotel is nice has tasteful decor and an ok breakfast but has several problems * Smaller rooms that cost about $100 or $120 in summer * Suites that can be over $200 that are only about 20% larger than a standard room *tiny pool dont expect to fit more than 6 * Although the break fast is good the staff often move in the serving area and the feature item Breakfast buns are constantly empty and are refilled every 15 minutes so dont expect big breakfast Over all its a good hotel but after one stay we wouldnt stay again. But then again 2 stars is still "Okay, but some problems" rating
