5 of 5  Great Value!, A TripAdvisor Member, Ohio, June 12, 2009

My husband an I stayed overnight in Frankenmuth with our two small children (5yrs. and 3yrs.) in late March. We had a suite for under $100/night. The hotel was very clean and the decor looked recently updated. The staff was friendly and helpful. While it was small, the kids enjoyed the pool. The hotel wasn't very busy when we visited, and there really weren't many people using the pool, so the pool size really wasn't an issue. The hotel offered free popcorn in the afternoon and evening, which the kids enjoyed. There were also drink coupons for adults in the evening, but we did not use them. The hotel was on the main "strip" of shops, but near the end, and it was too far for our small children to walk. Please be aware if you have small children or tire easily, you may want to plan on driving around if you stay at this hotel.

We had a good experience at the Drury and would definitely stay there again.

5 of 5  GREAT!, A TripAdvisor Member, Livonia, Michigan, March 11, 2009

My college age daughter and I spent a couple of nights @ Drury's Inn. The rooms were very clean, and comfortable. Nice T.V---flat screen. Breakfast was very good also (make your own waffles) . Looks like the rooms were updated not to long ago. The people the work there were great and friendly. We did the outlet shopping, and really enjoyed to hot tub. One place we ate was @ the Main Street Traven, the bratwurst was really good (she like the philly stk sandwich). This is were the locals hang out. Nothing fancy, drinks are very reasonable. Great place for couples or friends to hang out and have a beer.

We have travelled the best part of North America and have not been treated as nice as here. The food is second to none and the front desk service is the best I have ever come across. The girls are great!

5 of 5  Great hotel!, A TripAdvisor Member, Muskego, Wisconsin, December 12, 2008

What a wonderful experience! From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, this is a very well run hotel. We planned our trip to enjoy the sights and sounds of Frankenmuth at Christmas and were not disappointed. After a long drive, we were cheerfully greeted at the reception desk. Check in was very efficient - it appeared they actually did review the information provided to them when the reservation was made. We were handed our keys and provided with 2 vouchers good for 3 complimentary cocktails each evening! Our vacation was improving at a rapid rate! Each evening drinks (wine, beer, and simple mixed drinks) along with veges and dip and dry snacks were put out between 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Each morning, the same area served their complimentary breakfast, which included scrambled eggs, make your own waffles, french toast, sausages, yogurt and assorted dry cereals. There was plenty of selection (keep in mind is is included with your room) and was refilled as needed. Based on how full the hotel was this weekend, the number of families and size of the room, it was kept amazingly clean. We had decided to splurge and book the 2 room suite. We were not disappointed. It was large and spacious, the beds very comfortable and the little kitchenette area was a plus for our own snacks. Both rooms offered flat screen TV with many cable channels. Our room was kept spotless! The hotel is located at about the farthest point at the north end of the main street of shops. We had no problem walking to everything, except Bronners. (You need a car to haul all your wonderful purchases, anyway!) We found a new small family restaurant, T Dubbs, across the street for our evening meal of pizza. It was a nice alternative to a large meal at one of the "famous" restaurants or the bars in town. Based on the crowd, it appears to already be very popular. The only complaint about the hotel is the pool. The pool area is spotless and towels were available. However, they need to turn up the heat slightly. Even my 13 year old son who swims in a lake found it to be too cold. All in all, it was a wonderful weekend, great getaway destination and I highly recommend the Drury Inn.

5 of 5  Pretty nice place, A TripAdvisor Member, Michigan, October 21, 2008

My wife surprised me on our Anniversary by taking me to Frankenmuth for a weekend recently. She also surprised me by inviting my parents, but that is another review for another time.

The Hotel itself is fine. It has a smallish feel to it. The lobby is peaceful and pleasant. We got there a little early and they didn't hassle us about it.

It's on the northern end of town, but it's still in a good location. It'd be in a better location if the brewery a block down the street were still functional, but it was not. The bar next door was, though, which we soon discovered while wandering around.

The neighborhood itself is quiet and safe-feeling. The entire town is quiet in the evening. Traffic is light. There's no noise. There's no rowdy kids running the streets cussing. You don't have to look over your shoulder when you go out to the car to retrieve your glasses.

It's also within walking distance of the shops downtown or even the excellent restaurants, the Bavarian Inn and Zehnders, provided you are in fairly good shape to walk a few blocks. If not, there's plenty of benches to rest.

Frankenmuth is a strange town; in a good way. It's one of those places where it's cool just to be there. You don't necessarily have to be doing anything in particular to have a good time. You walk around. There's excellent food. There's excellent drink. You find strange little items that you haven't seen since a coon's age. You get taken back in time, taken here and there--Grandpa's farm, Christmas '74, Frankfurt '94--and then you laugh about it with everybody, because everybody's pretty much in the same little world.

It's like that all over town. We'd be sitting there, and people would just come up and start talking to you like you've known them for years. We went to the lobby to get our complimentary "drink". Naturally, we were the first ones there, my dad and I. We ordered a couple of beers. The girl behind the counter said, "That's two of six."

"Beg your pardon?"

"You have four more drinks."

I asked my dad, "What time did we tell [the wives] we were going to dinner?"

We tried to contain our unexpected glee.

Pretty soon people started to file in. One at a time, two at a time, groups. Next thing you know, everybody's sitting around chit chatting and laughing it up. The lady next to us was traveling around the east coast--Frankenmuth, New York, Florida, and back again. My dad tried to impress here with his "hip" elderly status. "I'm seventy years old.!" She was 85. Not too old, apparently, to enjoy the little perks of the Drury Inn. One guy made a comment about my Michigan State shirt, like he had that right. You'd think he'd have a little more humility after U of M's embarrassing loss to Penn State, but there he was, in all his glory.

But that's the way it is in Frankenmuth. You'll walk into a place, in this case a hotel lobby with complimentary drinks, and the next thing you know everybody knows the name over everybody's kids. Then you say goodbye to that person, and another guys is right there to pick up the slack by complaining about the Detroit Lions' play calling. Somebody's talking about politics. Somebody's complaining about the economy. But everybody is friendly and sociable. It's a far cry from some of he busier places you could go to for a weekend where everybody's rushing around and stressed out about what they're not seeing.

In the morning you can smell the breakfast wafting up through the open lobby and down the halls to the rooms. Sausage, eggs, french toast, waffles, biscuits, gravy, fruit, cereal, juice, tea, coffee. I've had better breakfasts before, but compared to the typical continental breakfast of a few bagels and bananas, there was no want for things to choose from. For the price, it was pretty spectacular. Good, hot, and nothing tasted like it had been sitting there for hours. It was fresh and hot.

In Frankenmuth you just stroll around at your own pace and the good times seemingly just come to you. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and take advantage of it. The Drury makes it pretty easy to do that.

5 of 5  Wonderful Hotel, A TripAdvisor Member, Ohio, September 22, 2008

My husband and I just completed a 2-night stay at the Drury Inn in Frankenmuth. What a nice place to stay! Hotel staff were very pleasant and efficient. Room was very clean and the bed very comfy. FREE hot breakfast was very good and the hotel also offers each guest 3 free drinks from 5:30 - 7:30 each evening including wine, beer and mix drinks along with simple snacks like chips, popcorn, pretzels, etc. Frankenmuth is a beautiful little town. We could not believe how clean and well-kept it was. Lots to do...shopping, restaurants, paddle boat ride and horse drawn carriage ride. Don't forget to stop at Bronner's...it's truly something to see and has an ornament for ANY occassion or person!

5 of 5  A very pleasant surprise!, A TripAdvisor Member, Kingston, New York, September 3, 2008

My family and I recently took a two-week road trip. We planned to stay just one night in Frankenmuth. The Drury Inn was such a pleasant hotel that we extended our stay another night. An unexpected surprise in the middle of great vacation.

I'd could write several paragraphs extolling the virtues of this hotel, so I'll try to keep it brief. An exceedingly pleasant desk clerk, a gorgeous lobby, a stunningly beautiful room complete with a wall of real brick. A microwave, a fridge, a 40" plasma screen TV with many HD channels. A great indoor pool area, a tasty hot breakfast, a computer free for guest use with printer and fax. The best hotel bed, ever. A free hour of long distance calls and evening cocktails every day.

This hotel is a delight from top to bottom. I'll certainly look for Drury Inns everywhere I travel and would gladly choose Drury over Hampton Inn without a second thought.

5 of 5  Drury Inn and Suites, Frankenmuth, A TripAdvisor Member, Canada, August 12, 2008

We stayed at the Drury Inn and Suites for four days. It was amazing. The staff were wonderful, a hot breakfast was served every moring, Cocktails at night, and soft drinks and popcorn all free. Great place for any age. I truly recomend this hotel

5 of 5  Girlfriend Getaway Fun!, A TripAdvisor Member, Greenwood, Michigan, August 11, 2008

I had a last minute opportunity to have a girlfriend getaway! I hopped on the internet and found the Drury Inn, in a price range which was good and also the fact it was on the main street in Frankenmuth. I was very happy with my choice!

The parking is ample at this hotel. Check in was courteous and efficient. The room was spotlessly clean, as was the small but well stocked bathroom. As mentioned in previous reviews, I was given drink coupons and there was the popcorn machine. Everyone was pleasant and professional. There is a pool, which I didn't use. There is complimentary hot and cold breakfast with plenty of offerings.

The rooms were quiet. We had two queen beds, which were very comfortable. There were plenty of pillows and the sheets were soft. There was a fridge in the room also.

This hotel is right on the main street near all the shops, across the street practically from a winery.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I was very pleased!

5 of 5  very nice hotel, A TripAdvisor Member, Ireland, August 11, 2008

We stayed here for one night, two adults and two children, the hotel was very clean and the beds very comfortable. There were snacks supplied in the evening from around 5:30 to 7:30 including free drinks which came as a big surprise to us as we had not expected this. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and very helpfull. The hotel is situated right in the centre of everything so we were able to walk everywhere.

5 of 5  Drury is better than expected., A TripAdvisor Member, Ohio, August 5, 2008

We can't say enough nice things about the Drury Inn and Suites in Frankenmuth. We have been coming to Frankenmuth for years now and this was our first time staying at the Drury. I expected to get an average hotel experience only to be suprised with above average time.

When we first arrived we were immediately given pleasant and fast check in along with our free drink coupons that could be used from 5:30-7:00. Also the hotel offers free snacks during that time in which we were pleasantly suprised. Nachos, salsa, fresh veggies and dip, popcorn, and assorted soft drinks and alcholic beverages.

We had a regular room with a king bed and we slept like babies. The room was very clean and spacious. It had a recliner which was a nice suprise. Free wi-fi in room was also very handy. Bathrooms were nice and again very clean.

The breakfast the next morning was also better than expected with eggs, toast, sausage, homemade waffles, biscuits and gravy and the typical yogurt , bagels, cereal and fresh fruit.

We will definately be back. Thanks for a great stay Drury Inn and Suites.

5 of 5  Our favorite hotel in Frankenmuth, A TripAdvisor Member, Silver Creek, NY, May 27, 2008

We recently stayed here for the third time, and love it. It's spotlessly clean. The staff is very friendly, from the desk personnel to the cleaning staff to the bartender. The price is reasonable. It's right on Main St. and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. There is a very complete hot breakfast buffet and evening happy hour, all complimentary. I was surprised that they even served margaritas. Each guest can receive 3 drinks per evening of his stay. I also love the theatre style popcorn machine in the lobby. Is there anything better than free margaritas and popcorn?? And, like all of the buildings in the business district of Frankenmuth, the Drury Inn looks like something right out of Bavaria. We love everything about it!

5 of 5  Drury Inn Definitely A Wonderful Place!, A TripAdvisor Member, Naugatuck, CT, March 12, 2008

My husband and I just returned from a fantastic stay in Frankenmuth. We took advantage of a last-minute deal and were so happy that we did! We've been wanting to go to Frankenmuth for years, mostly to visit Bronner's Christmas Store (which, BTW was out of this world - spent 7 hours there!).

The Drury Inn had a great rate that included a breakfast buffet (eggs, waffles, cereals, bacon, etc.) as well as a "happy hour" from 5:30 - 7 p.m. We did not have any alcoholic drinks, but did eenjoy sitting around in the lobby and taking in the atmosphere.

Our room was a nice size, very clean and quiet even though we were on the 2nd floor, right near the elevator. The bed was small, but that was my own fault for booking a room with 2 double beds. We were within walking distance to everything, but since it was only in the low-20's we opted to drive most of the time.

Everyone we came in to contact with at The Drury was very helpful and courteous in every way. The hotel's computer with internet access for guests was down and we wanted to print out our boarding passes in advance so, rather than waiting for the otel manager to come in, the front desk directed us right around the corner to the public library, which only took up about 5 minutes.

We had great meals at The Bavarian Inn and Zhenders, with the Bavarian being just a little bit better IMO. The bakery, though at Zhender's was wonderful - especially the raspberry strudel, pizza bread and butterhorns.

Overall, it was a great trip and staying at the Drury Inn was a very smart choice. About the only thing that we found lacking was the ripeness of the bananas at the breakfast buffet, so that should tell why we totally enjoyed our stay. It was only 3 nights, but they really went out of their way to make us feel right at home! Loved it!

5 of 5  Consistent Quality and Friendly Service, A TripAdvisor Member, Cincinnati, December 25, 2007

We have stayed here twice and it is a great value with consistent quality and clean, big rooms. Friendly service and great perks with the free snacks and drinks in the evening and coffee and soda throughout the day. They are great for accommodating pets! Top of the line economic choice in Frankenmuth. It's a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and heart of the shopping district.

5 of 5  Cleanest & Nicest Hotel for the Money-No extra costs, A TripAdvisor Member, Macomb, MIchigan, December 11, 2007

The Drury at Frankenmuth is a true bargain. Beautiful, very clean room in Frankenmuth. Lots of extra: hot breakfast with scrambled eggs & sausage among other items, cocktail hour 5:30-7 PM with 3 free drinks & snacks. Free soda & movie theatre like popcorn from 3 to 10 PM. 1 hour free long distance each evening. No dog fee for our dog. We loved it here. Travel a lot and have stayed at most chains. Nothing beats the Drury. Do yourself a favor & rent a suite, 2 tvs, sofabed, 2 beds or king. Dog area in back of hotel. Lots to do (and eat) in Frankenmuth. Handy drug store next door. Staff is always nice and helpful. Outlets at Birch Run are close, too.

5 of 5  Can't Wait To Stay Here Again!, A TripAdvisor Member, Michigan, November 15, 2007

My Mother and I spent the night at the Drury Inn last Tuesday. On the inn's website you could request an early check-in, and I did. I think we got there about 11:00 in the morning and our room was ready. The young woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We checked-in and were given room #309 (third floor of four). The cost of the suite was $95 and there were so many "extras" included in the price, we thought it was a very reasonable price.

The glass elevator was nice, and the spacious lobby/breakfast area was filled with comfortable seating and tables.

We opened our door and came into the sitting room. It contained a sleeper sofa, reclining chair, small table with 2 side chairs, desk with chair, and TV. Next came a small "hallway" with a counter, sink, small refrigerator and microwave oven on the right, and the bathroom on the left.

The bathroom had a curved shower rod, the towels were white and fluffy. There was a small bottle of shampoo and a hair dryer and the room was very clean.

In the back was the bedroom, with 2 beds (not sure if they were doubles or queens) and another TV. There was also a large closet where the iron/board were hidden away, and on the top shelf was a large, clear zippered bag which contained the bedding for the sleeper sofa.

The suite was extremely clean, beds were very comfortable, the furnishings were in great shape (no stains, wear and tear, etc.) and the lighting was more than adequate.

There was wireless internet available in the rooms (I didn't bring my laptop since it was just an overnight trip), and from 3:00 - 10:00 p.m. there was freshly popped popcorn and soda (Pepsi dispenser) available in the lobby.

Also, from 5:30 - 7:00 there were snacks/drinks available in the lobby. The night we were there they had a large bowl of pretzels, a large bowl of some kind of snack mix with peanuts, chips and salsa, baby carrots and celery sticks with dip. The Pepsi machine was available, and they offered alcoholic drinks! They gave us cards upon check-in and you are allowed up to 3 drinks. You have to show your card every time and they mark it. There were 5-6 mixed drinks, along with beer and a couple wines. I have never heard of another hotel offering these things and we were very impressed. We thought it was very nice of them to do that.

The breakfast the next morning (also included in your room rate) was wonderful. Not just stale doughnuts and burnt coffee. No, they had plenty to choose from including scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, French toast, waffles (you make your own), toast, muffins and pastries, bagels, yogurt, hot and cold cereals, and bananas and apples. They also had orange and apple juice, milk, and coffee. Wonderful!! There were two attendants and they kept busy refilling dishes and wiping down tables.

We had express check-out so didn't have to stop at the desk to do that. Didn't use the pool/whirlpool but it looked nice.

My only suggestion is that it would be nice if there was a door to the bedroom, for more privacy.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The next time we go to Frankenmuth I won't even look at any other places to stay, I want to stay at the Drury Inn again to experience their amazing hospitality, quality rooms, and all the "extras" they offer!!

5 of 5  Best in Frankenmuth, A TripAdvisor Member, Woodstock, ON, October 24, 2007

As this being the first time I had visited Frankenmuth, I wasn't sure where to stay, so I looked on Tripadvisor. Based on the previous reviews and the price compared to other hotels in the area I decided on the Drury Inn. I am sure glad that I went with the Drury inn...it is fantastic!

The lobby has free pop and popcorn from 3pm-10pm and 3 free alcoholic beverages with snacks such as pretzels. chips and veggies and dips and oh yes...salsa and chips! Plus you received 1 hour long distance (USA) or 15 minutes long distance (Canada) calling per stay. What other hotel does this???

Breakfast was very good, for being free. A good sample of hot and cold items (eggs, french toast, sausage, waffles).

The staff were very friendly always had a smile and said hello.

The rooms are a bit dated, but are very clean and do not look worn or over used like some hotel rooms. I had heard that all Drury Inn's were supposed to have new beds, but I don't think that was the case yet. However the bed was still very comfortable and made for a good nights sleep.

The hotel was close to everything, we walked to the main area within a few minutes which was great not having to find parking anywhere. The only need for a car was to drive to Bonners Christmas store as it is on the outskirts of town.

All in all this was a great hotel and we will definately stay here again based on the price and extra perks. Would highly recommend this hote to anyone coming to Frankenmuth.

5 of 5  Great Place to Stay!, A TripAdvisor Member, Georgetown, Ontario, October 11, 2007

Great hotel! Rooms were very clean and had a microwave, mini fridge and in room coffee! Bathroom was very clean and spacious! The lobby also has coffee 24/7!! free pop and popcorn from 3pm-10pm and 3 free alcoholic beverages (great merlot) with munchies such as pretzels. chips and veggies and dips and oh yes...salsa and chips!

Breakfast was very good ! Eggs were excellent as well as the sausage! Make your own waffles was great too!

Would highly recommend this hotel! the lobby was very nice to sit in and enjoy your free drinks! Very very clean!

Close to everything!

5 of 5  Good Deal, A TripAdvisor Member, Perry, MI, October 8, 2007

As always when traveling I like to check this site to see the opinions of other people who have been to hotels where I am considering staying. The reviews about this place were pretty accurate. It is very clean-up to my standards-not fancy but a nice place to stay. Breakfast was good and you're right in downtown so you can walk around and shop easily. The big attraction to Frankenmuth are Bronner's Christmas Store-a little over whelming but worth a trip and the chicken dinners-a little expensive but good. An enjoyable place to visit but they have a lot of activities in the summer-part of what makes it fun-and can be very crowded. The service at the hotel and everywhere is very good. Tourism at it's best. Also the hotels are frequently booked with bus tours so many times are full. All in all Drury Inn is a good choice.

5 of 5  Outstanding value and service, A TripAdvisor Member, Shelby Twp., MI, August 28, 2007

Stayed Aug. 17-19, 2007 for a baseball tournament. Excellent experience from start to finish. Received an upgrade coupon via email before our stay, which the front desk honored gracefully. Everything was clean and organized. Free drinks and snacks were a nice touch and the free (included) breakfast buffet had everything you could ask for. The hotel is dog-friendly, with easy access to the dog-run area. Never heard so much as a bark during the entire time we were there. Drug store next door had beer/wine/liquor, as well as an ice cream counter. And the Main Street Tavern, two buildings over, can't be beat for food, service and old-time atmosphere. For the money, no reason to stay anywhere else.

5 of 5  summer vacation, A TripAdvisor Member, peterborough ontario, August 19, 2007

We stayed here Aug. 14 - 15th .We were booked in quickly and the room was what we asked for a suite which was huge. The suite had a sitting room with sofa, 2 lounge chairs , a desk and tv. In the hall was a microwave, sink and fridge. large bathroom and bedroom had 2 queen size beds with a tv. The morning we were leaving our bill was under the door which made it nice by not having to go to the desk. The free hot contenental breakfast included french toast, scrambelled eggs, sausage rounds make your own waffles, cereals, tea bisquets & gravy, coffee and juices. There was a happy hour were you had a choice of 3 beer, wine or hard booze, chips etc. all free. The employees were all friendly and polite. The inn had a pool and hot tub. We would go back again.

Perks were free long distance calls, free soda and popcorn, free full breakfast and 3 free adult drinks at happy hour.

The location is on the outer edge of the town about seven blocks from the Town Square shopping and parks. The walk is full of fine shopping, food, and nice flowers. WOULD LIKE THE HOTEL TO POST LOCAL EVENTS AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE GUEST TO PLAN DAILY TRIPS.

I would like to say we found a great place to eat in Burch Run, about 9 miles south that served 1 pound bacon with a B L T or any bacon order. You get a 8 egg omlet and a half gallon of ice cream per banana split. Most all food portions were huge its called Tony's and its next to I 75 in Burch Run.

5 of 5  Great Hotel - Will Stay Again, A TripAdvisor Member, Peoria, IL, July 16, 2007

My husband and I planned a vacation to Frankenmuth and Mackinaw City for July. I've had some bad experiences with hotels in the past so I always to my homework and check them out on Tripadvisor and elsewhere. When we arrived at the Drury Inn we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff at check in was very nice and helpful. We got there around 6:00 p.m and there was still 1 hour left of their complimentary drinks and snacks in the dining area just off the lobby. At Drury Inn, they offer 3 free drinks per person each night. My husband had a Marguerita and I a beer. My mom, who traveled with us, enjoyed a pepsi and the snacks. There is a softdrink machine and popcorn machine available all the time which is really nice if you have the late night munchies. We had a great room rate too!

Our rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. My husband and I took advantage of the indoor pool and jacuzzi, which were both great after a long drive.

We plan on going to Frankenmuth again and will definitely stay at the Drury Inn again. I highly recommend it to anyone.

5 of 5  Pleasant and Peaceful!, A TripAdvisor Member, Michigan, May 20, 2007

What a wonderful stay we had! When I called to make reservations, I told the lady that it was our 15th anniversary. Well, when we got there, she had put up a "Happy Anniversary" sign on our door with balloons next to it--how thoughtful! We stayed the week after Mother's Day and it was very peaceful. The evening "social hour" was great! Drinks, including pop, and snacks galore! And the neighborhood next to the hotel is a beautiful walk to take in the evening. If you want a memorable stay in Frankenmuth, I highly recommend the Drury Inn.

5 of 5  Great stay, A TripAdvisor Member, Fresno, September 11, 2006

The Drury will spoil you. Nice rooms and employees. Cocktails in the early evening and a small buffet for breakfast. You even get a free hour of long distance phone calls

5 of 5  Great Value at the Drury, A TripAdvisor Member, Canada, March 18, 2006

Highly recommended. When my wife booked this for a brief getaway for us, I chided her that a $59 room wasn't likely to be a terrific experience, and I referred to it as the "Dreary" Inn. Until, that is, we arrived there and I was forced to change my tune. The place was impeccably clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. Fridge, microwave, free snacks, free hot breakfast (which was very good). The only way you'll find a better deal is if somebody pays you to stay with them. Having read some of the minor complaints here about the Drury, I have to ask: "What do you really expect to get for this kind of money?". If you want a huge pool, or bigger rooms, or lavish room service, stay elsewhere and pay 3-4 times as much. In fact, I HAVE paid 3 times this much for rooms that paled in comparison. If you want the best possible value for your money, stay at the Drury.

5 of 5  Would stay again!, A TripAdvisor Member, Muskegon, Michigan, March 13, 2006

My husband and I stayed the weekend for our Anniversary. We really loved the Drury Inn. It was clean, the rooms were very large and comfortable.

The evening was complimentary bar and snacks, and the breakfast in the morning was scrambled eggs, toast, french toast, sausage, coffee and juices. It was hot and very good!

It is a very nice place, and the hotel staff were very helpful and nice. We would stay again!!

5 of 5  The BEST Hotel in Frankenmuth!, A TripAdvisor Member, Plymouth, Indiana, November 30, 2005

Free breakfast. Free snacks. Free cocktails. Nice room. Nice pool. What more could you possibly ask for at $69 a night? The only place I will ever stay in Frankenmuth! Awesome location too.

5 of 5  An excellent small hotel, A TripAdvisor Member, Ontario, Canada, November 23, 2005

We recently stayed two nights at the Drury Inn based primarily on the #1 ranking on tripadvisor.com There were no disappointments - the hotel was outstanding and great value. It is right on the main street in easy walking distance to downtown shops as well as Zehnder's or Bavarian Inn's restaurants, or better yet the Frankenmuth Brewery and Restaurant.

Rooms were in top form and very clean. Front desk staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. The fully cooked breakfast included juices, milk, tea/coffee, cereals, yoghurts, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausages, and make your own belgian waffles. A great start to the day and complimentary for guests. The evening 3 free drinks 'happy hour' was fun as well though the drinks were a little weak. Beer was fine and a variety of mixed drinks were available.

There was a pool and jacuzzi available. Parking is free. The hotel was full when we were there, but the rooms were very quiet - I heard no sounds from adjoining rooms or the hallway. Nice!

We went to see the Fairfield Inn and the Bavarian Inn to compare comparable rooms - and came back to the Drury Inn convinced that for us we had made the right choice. If you have young children or teens, the larger water parks at the Bavarian Inn or Zehnder's Splash Village Hotel might sway you to go there if those facilities appeal. Otherwise the Drury Inn can't be beat for value and quality.

5 of 5  Awesome Value, A TripAdvisor Member, Fort Wayne, In, November 14, 2005

Our family of four spent a Sunday night at the Drury Inn in Frankenmuth. Called the hotel directly and received a rate of $66.99 (the $59 deal is no longer available in current coupon books). Hotel is in great condition and is extremely clean. Manager's reception on Sunday night was nice; three free drinks per person. Monday breakfast was good as well. I can't imagine that there is a better value in the Frankenmuth/Birch Run area.

This is the second time we have stayed at this Drury Inn. We stayed in a suite this time and enjoyed the roominess of it. The staff was again, extremely nice and very accomodating. The breakfast is awesome! The pool is kept very clean. No complaints here. An A+ experience.

5 of 5  Great Place - Great People, A TripAdvisor Member, Toronto, ON, April 19, 2005

A fantastic place - even though they were renovating, the staff went out of their way to accomodate our needs. We shall return to the Drury Inn. I wish all hotels had such classy people. Oh ya, the breakfast rocked as well !

4 of 5  A little treasure in Christmas town, A TripAdvisor Member, london, June 19, 2009

We had a great stay in the Drury Inn in Frankenmuth. The Inn far surpassed it's value for the money. We stayed in a family suite. It had 2 queen beds and a pull out in the living area. They have free pop until 10:00 PM and free cocktails for the adults in the evening. All you can eat popcorn through the day also..great for teenagers when they want to snack. It also came with a hot breakfast. There was an indoor pool and hot tub. It was located right in the heart of the town. The staff went out of their way to assist you in any way possible. They supplied coupons even for the movie theatre close by. We paid $112.00 a night and all this was included. This is the senior rate for 50..yes 50 and over!

It was a wonderful treasure in the heart of this Christmas town.

The Drury was the cleanest hotel I've been to so far. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I agree with all the positive comments. But to elaborate a little, when you get your evening drinks you can get all three drinks at one time. They will put them on a tray for you to take to your room. I didn't take advantage of this but on Saturday night they were so busy that several people did. I would definately stay here again.

Clean and nice;

Breakfast was good and so were the evening drinks and snacks. Free popcorn too.

4 of 5  Pool is warmer now!, A TripAdvisor Member, Detroit, Michigan, January 6, 2009

I agree with the review written earlier. Very great stay. Their complaint was a cool pool. Management must have responded. It was nice and warm AND the hot tub was not TOO hot!

4 of 5  Great stay for the price!, A TripAdvisor Member, Ontario, Canada, December 3, 2008

My husband and 2 children stayed here on a Saturday and Sunday night in November. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel, it was very clean and the employees were all very friendly. We stayed in a regular room which was very clean. It was a little small for the 4 of us, and there wasn’t a table and chairs for the kids to eat at or do colouring. They had to do that on the floor. Despite that, the room was nice, with a large flat panel screen TV, microwave and small fridge.

The kids enjoyed the pool. This was also small, but they had a blast. They pretty much had the run of the pool as there was rarely anyone else using it. The complimentary breakfast was also very good. The 2 mornings we had it, it was the same offerings, but everything was very fresh. We certainly didn’t go hungry.

All in all, we had a great time and if ever we are in Frankenmuth again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here.

My wife and I came to shop at Birch Run and stayed at the Drury Inn. Excellent place. Room was exactly as we requested. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We would definately stay here again.

4 of 5  Fabulous place, can't wait to return, A TripAdvisor Member, Toronto, Ontario, November 5, 2007

We just returned from a one night stay in Frankenmuth. Thanks to other member reviews, we selected the Drury Inn and Suites for our mini vacation. I booked over the phone as we were bringing our little pooch and wanted to ensure we had a ground floor room. We arrived a bit early and were able to check in but couldn't get into our room until after 4:00. No problem, we took a stroll into town. We were assigned room #120 which was adjacent to the rear entrance but was also directly across from the laundry. It was a bit noisy but it was great to be so close to the back door. At first glance the room appeared very clean but there were dust bunnies in the corners and behind the TV. The washroom was however, very clean with plenty of towels. The beds were great, (two doubles) with 3 huge pillows on each bed. Amenities included a microwave, bar fridge, wireless in the room, (and lobby) clock radio and TV. From 5:30 to 7:00 there were free drinks, (wine, beer, mixed drinks) and snacks in the lobby. Drinks were limited to 3 each. You could either enjoy them there or take them back to your room. Also available in the lobby, (all day) was pop, juice, and popcorn. There was also a indoor pool and hot tub. In the morning, we enjoyed a hot breakfast of waffles, scrambled eggs, (not good), sausage patty, (too greasy), french toast, biscuits and gravy. There was also a selection of cereals, toast, bagels, yogurt and apples. The staff were friendly and helpful. This was a great place to stay, and we will definitely be returning.

4 of 5  Perfect location, A TripAdvisor Member, Michigan, April 22, 2007

This hotel is in a perfect location to everything. There is a tavern next door which is nice so you Don't have to drive anywhere. We walked up and down the whole street and never got tired. The free breakfast was AWESOME! Bisquits and gravy, scrambled eggs, french toast, belguim waffles, sausage, many drinks and cereals to choose from. The list goes on and on. Had no problem finding a seat. I recommend going about 9:00 am. Seems less crowded. Took advantage of the free cocktail hour. 3 free drinks. Had beer and 5 different mixed drinks to choose from. Had chips and salsa, chex mix and popcorn for snacks. The only downfall was they should pump in some music. Was too quiet. The elevator is cool. It's glass and you can see the lobby when you get on it. Very unique. Great experience and recommend it to all!!!

4 of 5  Great place for entire family, including babies!, A TripAdvisor Member, cleveland, December 2, 2006

An impromtu trip to Frankenmuth for Labor Day weekend led us to the Drury Inn and Suites. The front desk staff was accomadating in finding us a 2 king bed suite when we extended our trip an extra two nights. We were traveling with four adults and two infants (twins). The extra space was useful for the late night feedings and to not disturb the other family. There is a wet bar and an ample sized refridgerator in the room. The only downside to the room is that the flooring between the bedroom and the living area is marbled. This is right off of the bathroom. If you do not have shoes or socks on and your feet are wet, BAM...that is what happened to me. It becomes quite slippery. There is a nice breakfast buffet in the morning and a happy hour in the evening.

The hotel was booked to capacity which made it really crowded in the main dining area. It was difficult to maneuver ourselves, let alone the double stroller in common areas of the hotel.

We did not use the pool area.

The Drury Inn has a drugstore close by too if you forget something at home. Unfortunately all of the main "attractions" are a bit of a walk from the Drury Inn, but if it's nice weather, you can enjoy a stroll up and down the streets.

I would recommend this hotel to any family traveling with babies or small children.

4 of 5  Drury offers a nice stay, A TripAdvisor Member, Ohio, April 23, 2006

I stayed at the Drury in one of their suites. The only thing I did not like was that there was no divider between the living room and the bedroom. I am a naturally early riser, and always felt that I was waking the others up with the lights on in the "living room". Otherwise, the Drury was wonderful. The staff was always kind and courteous. Breakfast was much better than cold cereal and muffins. The room was neat and clean, and I did not hear noise from the other rooms. Of course, this could be because we had quiet neighbors during the stay. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family. It's a great place to stay for a great price.

4 of 5  Will return again., A TripAdvisor Member, Davisburg, Michigan, March 24, 2006

Stayed here for a overnight girls night out after a long day of shopping. Place was nice and clean. Had 2 free cans of pop and microwave popcorn in the room if you had the munchies.Close to many places in Frankenmuth. Continental breakfast was good, but get down there early or you will be standing. Fresh Belgian Waffles that you make yourself was a fun surprise. Will return again for another get away.

4 of 5  Great price, great hotel, A TripAdvisor Member, Lansing, MI, February 13, 2006

I stayed at the Drury Inn in early February with a friend to shop and see the sights. We were not disappointed with the Drury Inn.

From the time of check in to the time of check out it was a first class experience. The lobby is nicely appointed as are the rooms. The pool is nice, though just a tad small. Once a family with three little kids got in it, it was time for us to get out and enjoy the jacuzzi.

The cocktail reception was a nice touch. The snacks consisted of chips, pretzels and salsa.

The free breakfast was great. Don't waste your time on the eggs or sausage gravy. Make yourself a waffle! I stayed at the Bavarian Inn before and though I liked the location just a bit better and the pool areas were definitely nicer, you can't go wrong at Drury. I'd stay there again.

4 of 5  A Pleasure!, A TripAdvisor Member, Michigan, May 19, 2005

My family and I stayed at the Drury Inn recently for a spontaneous winter getaway. We were give 2 connecting suites, and were very impressed. The rooms are clean and very comfortable...great value for the price paid. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again!

3 of 5  A nice night's stay, A TripAdvisor Member, Michigan, April 9, 2009

My family decided to spend a day in Frankenmuth, spending the night before at the Dury Inn. We arrived around 8 pm (missed the complimentary drinks) and checked out at 11 am the next day so our experience was limited.

The location is good as we walked to everything except Bronner's. The complimentary breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, etc.) saved us both time and money. The pool is small but we used it both at night and in the morning. While we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, they offer a full range of cable channels and the wireless internet is free. On the downside, the bed's weren't the most comfortable I've ever experienced.

I would stay there again provided the price was right.

3 of 5  Not bad..., A TripAdvisor Member, Metro Detroit, Michigan, April 28, 2008

We booked a 2 bedroom suite for a weekend getaway for 2 couples and 2 toddlers. The suite description did say that there is no door between the rooms, but when we got there it wasn't exactly what we expected. In reality the suite was just one big room. You walk right into the first "room" where there is a couch, chair coffee table and TV. From the doorway, you can see the other "room" with 2 double beds. In between, there is the restroom. I believe that the term "2 room suite" does not reflect what you really get.

Overall, our stay at the Drury Inn was nice. Breakfast buffet was very good. Hotel is located just outside the main "downtown area" but everything is in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room did have a typical old hotel room smell to it.

3 of 5  SOME GOOD FEATURES, A TripAdvisor Member, Lake Erie beach Gal, September 18, 2007

Good features that we used were:

Happy Hour 2 free alcoholic beverages each (530-7pm)plus snacks eg: pretzels, popcorn

Free Long Distance for 1 hour anywhere in USA

Next door to a Drugstore, but about 4 blocks down to the main dining areas( Bavarian Inn and Zehnders)

Very clean, but the bedding was a bit dated

Two bus tours in the hotel, which meant that the breakfast area and the elevators were useless in the am..so we rate this experience as a 3 out of 5

3 of 5  Nice Enough but Overpriced, A TripAdvisor Member, Ann Arbor, MI, October 3, 2006

Stayed for a wedding at discounted group rate ($140). Given the hotel has not been updated in many years, the price seemed steep. It was conveniently located and service was adequate. Check out is 11 a.m. and we got banging on our door at 10:55 asking us to leave.

2 of 5  Presidents Weekend, A TripAdvisor Member, Chicago,Illinois, February 24, 2006

To be honest, I will be fair. We arrived Sunday February 19 for one night.Excited that it was a long weekend and we (wife, daughter and I) could enjoy the hotel and relax in the hot tub and pool. Alas, it was not to be. The hotel was jammed. It appears everyone had the same idea. Never went into the pool area as it was always crowded. Even first thing in morning ! Breakfast seemed nice but very crowded. Pool closed way to early and unlike most hotels there was no adult only swim. Breakfast closed to early. If you sleep in you miss it !!! It was a nice clean hotel, rooms were nice and an unique layout. Our two minature pinschers were welcome. I would stay here again to give it another try. However, NEVER ON A HOLIDAY 3 DAY WEEKEND !!!
