Quality Inn

I really wasn't expecting much from this Holiday Inn. Most of the ones I've stayed at in the past few years were not that great. So, going into it, I was just looking for a descent place to sleep. Fortunately, it was better than I bargained for. The room was very clean, and had extremely comfortable beds and pillows. The air conditioner was blowing cold when we arrived. That is an extremely important feature for my hubby! No complaints. I even felt safe with outside doors. The staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast wasn't too bad either. I'd definitely stay here again for an overnight trip.

Not your typical Quality Inn. First off, its a converted Holiday or something and has an on-site restaurant so no free breakfast. Free local paper instead of USA Today but then that is not a major surprise in smaller rural cities. Internet was wired instead of wireless and never did get it to work. Otherwise, great rooms, large, all the usual amenities, staff very friendly.

For Uvalde this is a great hotel. It is clean, convenient to everything in town, (I know the town is only so big), and the staff is very friendly. The onsite restaurant is good, but I also recommend Lunkers, the restaurant and bar located next door to the hotel

Overall this is the only place in Uvalde I would recommend.

I stayed at both this hotel and the Inn of Uvalde next door. I checked out of Inn of Uvalde early due to their lack of internet service and an iron. Holiday Inn has both, but unfortunately has a noise problem like the other hotel. The walls must be awfully thin here, because you can tell exactly what your neighbor is watching on TV. I switched rooms, thinking the person next door must've had poor hearing. But the 2nd room had the same problem.

Otherwise, this hotel is quite nice. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable with nice pillows. The A/C was wonderful, and the shower was very good.

This hotel will be my choice the next time I visit Uvalde.
