I stayed at this Tuscan Inn in the Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco recently. What a lovely place in the midst of a fast-paced environment! The thought that it was a Best Western made me think... I booked this hotel via booking.com at KLM website. I went through a lot of reviews and the one from Frommers Guide was most helpful. I got a good rate and no prepayment from the KLM website... My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 4 days. Our flight came in early so the room we requested wasn't ready yet. The concierge recommended a bus tour and called to see if there were seats... My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in August and couldn't fault it for what we wanted.Great location, the concierge guy was fantastic and there is a lovely restaurant attached to the hotel that... We loved the Tuscan Inn! We booked a King room, but they upgraded us to a King Deluxe when we arrived. It was pretty small, so I'm sure the standard rooms are even smaller! Booked two rooms on Priceline for $139 each, just an overnight stay while flying home the next morning. Check in was good, rooms both ready, and we upgraded with no problems. Room was very small... The best thing about this hotel is the close proximity to Fisherman's Wharf. The lobby is nice, and the staff was very friendly. The cons about this place is the $38(plus $5.32 tax) a night... Similar to some other disgruntled reviewers here I was assigned a different room than I had booked. There were three of us and I had booked a two double bed room and had a confirmation to prove it... I have stayed at this hotel in the past and liked it very much. This time, I was not very impressed. The room was small, with a king bed, and a truly claustrophobic bathroom. Two bath towels for...
